Chapter 39: Class Quest Begins Part III

Chapter 39: Class Quest Begins Part III

“Look, they are so cute together.”

“Aw, that’s true, such a handsome brother and a cute little sister.”

“They look so cuddly.”

The chattering came with endearing smiles from people around them, making the little Maysa become extremely stressed. The adorable face frowned, her eyebrows knitting together, almost forming a bow now. Unlike the man next to her, who was grinning so big, so proudly that the frowning one was getting a headache just by looking at it.

“You look too happy.” Seeing him being overjoyed, Maysa could not help but throw some sarcasm.

“Just a little bit.”

“I can see that you’re a lolicon weirdo, but do you really need to hold my hand, too?!” The five-year-old girl yelled out. The pair of grey eyes gazed up at the taller man as she was pissed, trying to pull her hand out of Wisana’s, who was holding it like how a brother held his little sister while they were walking.

And this false claim had gotten her so worked up!

“Why? It’s just holding hands. I’m doing this because I don’t want little May to get separated from Brother Wisana.”

“Wisana!” She bawled for another time before she could shake his hand off and run away from the annoying man who was shaking his head with amusement. Then Wisana started running after the tiny figure that was now sulking and leaving him behind.

His ears caught some words again from the other players around them, saying, ‘The siblings are bickering now, so adorable.’ Wisana smiled in a good mood again.

He would kill to have such a cute sister like this!

He smiled, absorbed in his thoughts as he was following Maysa. Eventually, they both stopped in front of a small building with sparse players. The entrance was clear and opened without a door to make the visitors feel welcomed. On the top, there was a sign of a roll of paper, crossed with a sword and a magic scepter, and words below the icon, saying ‘Class Registration Office’.

“We’re here, May?” the man asked the little girl next to him.

“Yup, here’s the class registration office, it’s the office that provides information about class quests and the titles for every class.”

“Everyone needs to register here?”

“Yeah. Players have to register here. Then the office will give us the details and the location of the examination of each class, so we can go on the exam quest to change our classes.”

Wisana nodded in understanding, glancing inside the building. He saw a couple of staff were sitting behind the counter, giving service to the players who were standing in such a long line that Wisana felt exhausted for them.

This scene gave out the same energy as when people were doing transactions at a bank somehow.

“Let’s go. I don’t know how far the magic warrior office will be.”

“Kay,” the other one agreed easily as he followed Maysa inside. His round eyes looked around to see that counter number three was available with a red-haired woman sitting behind it. She had a headset microphone on, making her look like a call center agent. Wisana walked straight to her immediately. He gave her a friendly smile as he greeted her.

“Hello.”

“Hi...”

The operator returned the greeting before she looked up to meet the player’s eyes. After she saw a good-looking guy that rarely came by the place like this, she smiled so sweetly at him, gazing at Wisana intensely.

“Hi, how can I help you today? Are you here for class registration?” She asked with a splendid tone.

“Yes,” Wisana replied moderately. “I’m here to register for my class.”

“I got you.” She said enthusiastically before she brought out a screen to type in the information quickly.

“Previously, I’ve never seen you around. Are you new in the game?”

She said, sending him knowingly eyes that made the other one feel awkward for a few seconds before he could force a smile back.

“Uh... That’s right. I started the game a couple of days ago.”

“Is that so? Do you need special advice about something else, too? We can talk about it outside the game.”

The obvious purpose of her came with a smile that said, ‘I’ll hook up with you!’ Wisana dropped a sweat.

“No need to! Just register him for the magic warrior class! About the advice, I can help him myself. Hurry up, we don’t have much time!”

That was definitely not Wisana’s words. The voice drew their gaze lower to see little Maysa tugging at the taller one’s trousers harshly a couple of times before holding up her hands like she was asking him to cradle her with the most adorably begging expression.

Wisana’s eyebrows twitched a bit, quite knowing what she was up to when she was suddenly asking him to hold her up like this. Eventually, he did what she asked. And when her head was up above the counter, those grey eyes glared at the operator threateningly for not stopping hitting on her buddy!

“Can’t you hear me?! He’s asking to be registered for the magic warrior class!”

“Huh? Oh, right. Please wait a moment.” After seeing the deadly gaze and the displeased tone of Maysa, the lingering manner from a few seconds ago was completely gone with the wind. The red-haired girl started typing on her screen rapidly.

“May I have your name please?” She asked.

“It’s Wisana.”

The sound of the keyboard continued as her ten fingers typed his name in. She looked up at him, looking more professional this time.

“What level are you?”

“38.”

But her professional look was completely gone when she abruptly looked up in shock.

“Oh, where have you been until now? Normally, class registration can be done at level 15. If you let your level upgrade to 38 like this, it might cause an imbalance between your abilities and level when you’re in class training.

“Er... I’ve been a bit busy.”

Wisana replied, scratching his cheek. He did not want to tell her that his level did not match the game play time either!

“Anyway, the master of your class might help you solve this problem. However, when you register for your second class, I suggest you do not let the levels grow too high like this again. So, that your ability will not match your level.”

“Okay.” The bass voice replied before he leaned closer to whisper with Maysa immediately. “What’s the master?”

“I’ll explain later.” She whispered back as quietly as he did. Wisana nodded in agreement.

After a while, the red-haired girl finished filling out the information. She paused for a second before bringing out another window to print a piece of paper out of the transparent screen. She took the paper and stamped the official seal on it.

“Please sign here.” Wisana did as he was told before he handed it back.

“All done. Here’s your quest, and the magic warrior office is in Aeneas. When you get there, hand them this letter and the class quest will begin right away.”

“Aeneas!” Maysa, who was cradled up, yelled out. Her eyes were widening as she was reading the light-yellow quest letter. Then she was shocked when it said clearly that they needed to go to Aeneas town!

“Yes, miss.”

“We’re so doom, Wisana.” Maysa turned to speak with a panicked voice. “Aeneas is very far from the city. Why is your office located in such a remote backcountry like this?”

“How am I supposed to know?” Wisana replied, tired.

“About how to travel there, I suggest renting a horse carriage is the easiest way because there’s no airport for the airship and no seaport since the town is not connected to the sea.”

“Ugh, this is bad. Let’s hurry, Wisana. We need to go rent travel birds and a carriage now. If we’re still wasting our time here, I’m not sure if we’ll be able to finish the quest before we log off.”

After she finished, the little one grabbed the quest letter in her hand, her other arm clinging around his neck as an order for him to start walking already. But they did not get far before the operator grabbed his arm.

“Yes?” The man turned back to her.
