Chapter 38: Class Quest Begins Part II
Chapter 38: Class Quest Begins Part II
“I think there are two choices for you to decide,” Maysa said, holding up two fingers.
“First, you can stay in the shadow like this, use the name Wisana, try to avoid the people who know you in real life, if you don’t want them to know that you’re in the game. You should not be in the capital so often, just stay low while you wait for people to lose interest in Vincent. You got that?” Then, she put down one finger.
“Second, you reveal yourself in public as Vincent. Put on your mask, so there’s no need to avoid your people from real life. You’ll be enjoying the game without worrying about someone finding out that you’re Wisana playing this game." The listener sighed. He lowered his head as he was considering.
What Maysa said made sense. If he chose to continue as Wisana, he had to hide from Tunwa or Nuchjaree. Because if they found out, he would definitely be dragged along, or, in other words, a disaster!
If he performed his pathetic gaming skills in front of Warunya, she would probably be crying out of disappointment!
But, if he chose to be Vincent, he did not have to worry about his friends finding out that he was in the game. However, it would cost him the trouble of being in the public eye. At first, he thought he would be able to take it. But after he knew what Maysa had been through today, he was kind of creeped out, too.
“But actually, I have another choice for you.” Seeing the other one going quiet for too long, the small voice said, sounding tired.
“What is it?”
“Just tell your friends that you’re playing the game. Everything will be solved. The name Vincent will be gone eventually, and you don’t have to sneak around anymore.” This option made Wisana frown immediately.
“You’re right, May. But..."
“But what? Is there something serious going on between you and your friends that you have to avoid them like this? Did you steal their WIFI to play the game or what?!” Maysa snapped as she was so fed up with this. Today she was not in the mood to bear with this man’s nonsense anymore. Not when all that she had been through was because of the one in front of her!
“No, it’s not like that, May. I have my reason.”
“Yeah? Are you going to tell me what it is now?!” This time, she got up and stood on the bed to be at the same height as the man who was sitting across from her. Her hands were placed on her waist, trying to look serious. However, the result was that she looked adorable instead.
Wisana let out a long sigh, thinking that he could not keep it from her anymore, since he caused her so much trouble.
“Alright, I’ll tell you.” The hoarse voice said, weary. Then he started telling Maysa everything.

“Bahahahahahaha, that’s too funny. Hahaha.”
Her anger earlier had now turned into a burst of laughter that sent her rolling on the bed.
The tiny figure of Maysa was kicking her feet, laughing it all out loudly without holding anything back. After she finished listening to what the Wisana guy said, she realized that not only was the guy a troublemaker, but also the biggest weirdo!
“Damn man, how did you come up with this? Lie to friends because you don’t want to be tagged along. Also, you’re afraid that Orn might see your embarrassing gaming, that is kind of...” She did not finish because she had to burst out with a laugh again.
“Yeah, this is exactly why I didn’t wanna tell you.” The speaker frowned more and more until Maysa needed to get up and smash him on the back as a comfort.
“There, there, don’t be too serious, big bro. Lil sis will stop teasing you now, but... HAHAHA.” The easily amused one was so quick to change her mood. It looked like she had forgotten about the mess she had today completely.
Because the ridiculous issue of this dork was such a stress reliever!
“Are you done laughing?” Getting mocked so hard like this, he clenched his jaws.
“Aw, relax.” Maysa grinned. “Come on. It’s no big deal. You should tell them the truth. I told you that it didn’t matter how good you were at the game. Besides, by defeating Lord Inferno, you’ve proven enough that you don’t suck anymore.”
“You don’t understand...” Wisana drawled. “I can socialize with you normally like this, but I’ll become a different person if I see Orn face to face. I’m awkward around her, frozen up, lost for words every time.” He spoke. She raised her eyebrows.
“But you seemed fine, flirting so sweetly, carrying and hugging, all kinds of stuff.”
“Well, I was wearing the mask, so I didn’t get too awkward.” He was obstinately trying to make a point.
“I see. People aren’t themselves when they’re around someone they like.” Maysa patted softly on his shoulder. “But that’s different from lying, Wisana. You haven’t even made a move on flirting with her yet, but you’re being dishonest with her already. Do you really think that you and she will turn out to be okay in the end, big bro?” Her words made the man pause.
What Maysa said was right. He should not lie to Warunya and his friends in the first place. He should just be honest with them, not sneak around behind their backs like this.
...But things had already gotten this far. Would it not be awkward telling them now?
“Just tell her that you’re the brave Vincent who defeated Lord Inferno in just 18 minutes.” The delighted voice came, making the pair of golden-brown eyes glance at her.
“No, that’s particularly what she can’t know about.” He spoke. “Think about it. I was holding her, carried her, and even flirted with her with those cheesy lines. No, absolutely not want her to find out about that.”
“Why? Isn’t it good that she knows you’re interested in her?”
“May! I told you that if I face her without the mask, my heart will get all trembling.”
“Implying that you can flirt with her smoothly as Vincent?”
“No. That’s not what I’m saying,” he whined. “Let’s just say that I just want to chill in the game, not getting involved with Warunya. And we play together like usual. Well, I mean I prefer getting to know her outside the game... please?” Hearing the usual begging tone, Maysa sighed, sitting down next to Wisana again.
“I really don’t understand you. I’d just tell them if it were me.” She shook her head, displeased by this. “But, whatever, it’s your choice anyway. I’m just your gamer friend. The best I can do is say my opinions, you’re the one who has to make a decision.”
“Really? Aw, May, you’re so cute,” he said before pulling the little May in a hug once more, making her shake her head with boredom.
Gosh, he was down only for a couple of minutes and became so lively again just in the blink of an eye, huh.
“Alright, so you’ll go with the first option, right? You’ll play as Wisana, avoiding your friends and waiting for the name Vincent to fade away from the media?”
“Yup, I’ll do that.” He confirmed as he was nodding rapidly. “What about you, how will you deal with your fans? Are you going to continue in this size? That’s fine with me, too.”
“Very funny!” She snapped. “I have a plan, but it depends on the situation. If I stay like this for too long and this issue is not calm enough, I’ll find a way to make the most of this. You just wait and see.” She finished as she let out the most cunning smirk, making Wisana draw back a little.
Aw, what a cute little demon.
“Alright, let’s just get over this for today. We’ve something more important to do,” Maysa said eventually. She stood up and stretched her body left and right.
“Do what?”
“You already forgot? Today we’re going to register for your class, big bro.” She smiled broadly. “Yesterday I spent a lot of time doing some research before I could find a class that might suit you.”
“So, you’ve figured out what I should play?”
“Yup.” Maysa nodded. “It should be a class that uses both magic and melee combat techniques to fight, and I found many classes in this style. But I think the most suitable one for you is the Magic Warrior class.”
“Magic warrior?” Wisana repeated.
“Yeah, but don’t ask me further. Now we should hurry to the registration office first.
