Chapter 383: Retreat Part V

Chapter 383: Retreat Part V

“Stop acting like a selfish child, Nam. This is serious.”

“...”

Those words that unexpectedly came out of the brother’s mouth made everyone stunned. They all knew how much he loved, adored, and spoiled his sister. So, it could not be helped that they were all shocked to hear him speaking to his little sister in a harsh voice like this.

“Woah, woah, woah, my goodness, why did you come back in a wrecked condition like this?”

Suddenly, there was an unwanted voice ringing up again, making the Nemesis stop short.

Especially Maysa, she turned to the voice, before holding a hand up to rub her temple harshly.

Damn it, this William guy never learned.

Right now, the tall man with a purple ponytail and cool, square unique-design sunglasses was walking toward them. His lips were spreading out wide in the most annoying way.

"What is this? Why is the leader of the Nemesis in a condition like this? I only heard that you retreated because you were losing. But I never thought that you got seriously injured like this.”

“...”

Wisana did not say anything. He was just staring at the other who purposely walked in his direction to be annoying, while he should have been with his unit to take care of his guild for the wounded and the dead ones instead.

That was a lot of effort, you fish face!

“Oh, what do we have here?” William shouted when he noticed Waree healing Shin’s wounds. “Why did you have Miss Waree healing the wounded players still since she just came back from battling in the frontline? And who’s that? Mister Shindanai? I can’t believe you ignored the order and sneaked out to the frontline. My goodness, how lucky it is that you didn’t get captured. You all are really wearing me out, ERK!”

And Wisana’s patient snapped apart finally. His rough hand yanked William’s collar harshly. Those amber eyes were flashing with rage in a way that muted the other instantly.

“Try again, William,” Wisana spoke in a cold voice. “Try crossing my line a little further, and I swear that I’ll make you regret that you were ever born in this world.”

“...Boss.”

Maysa tried to warn him, but the one who was clinging to her did not care.

“You should have been with your guild right now, shouldn’t you?” Wisana said, sighing. “If you have too much free time that you can go around annoying people like this, why don’t you use it to make up a new plan instead? Either a plan against the enemies or a plan against me.”

“W ...what are you talking about, Leader Vincent?”

William was faking an innocent smile, but his sweat started to soak him up like a loose tap.

“Oh, of course, you don’t know. Never mind then. You did a good job in that signal flare by the way.” Wisana said, tilting his head to the side a little. “But just so you know, a person like me is ridiculously hard to die. If you can’t kill me in the first attempt, then you better watch your back.”

After speaking, Wisana intentionally leaned his face closer.

His hand on the shirt collar was tightened up so that William could barely breathe.

“Be careful, because when I get back at someone,” He curled up a sneer. “I’ll make sure it’s extra.”

THUD!

Finally, Wisana let the big-mouthed one go. The tall man was kicked down to the ground. His expression was in a huge panic like he had never experienced something like this ever in his life. To be specific, William never thought that Wisana would dare do this to him.

Before he realized, there were eyes from everyone around staring at him already. So, William hurriedly got up and brushed the dust off him, before forcing up a fake smile again.

“D ...d ...don’t expect this will end well after you did that to me,” William shouted. “You’ve just made a mistake to our army, and you’re still bold enough to act like a thug.”

“He’s not finished, huh?”

“Don’t, boss.”

Maysa yelled out in panic because her boyfriend was about to lose it now. One of his hands was having a dazzling spark, shining intensely. His eyes looked like he could kill someone so easily right now!

“Go! You actually want to die? He’s serious!”

Maysa turned to snap at William, making the tall one who was sitting on the ground jump and struggle to stand up instantly. Then his legs started stomping off, as his mouth that was considered bad, kept barking still,

“D ...don’t think that we’re finished here. I’ll get back at you!”

Then he ran out of sight of the Nemesis guild. Wisana cracked out a loud throaty laugh.

“Speaks exactly like a C-grade villain, too, huh, you scumbag.” He said, letting out a long sigh.

“Na, this is not like you.”

Maysa looked up and whispered with a concerned face. Her slender hand was touching her lover’s face, expecting that to calm him down a little. And of course, it worked.

Wisana’s smile was completely wry. He hung his head low, glancing at his people who looked all defeated just as much.

“I’m sorry. He was too out of line.”

Hearing that, the girl with light grey eyes shook her head slightly.

“It’s okay. I understand.” She gave him a sweet smile. “Where’s Nuch?”

Hearing her question, Wisana was stunned. His eyes were lingering on something else like he was looking for words to say. At the same time, Shin could sit straight now, while Waree was using a spell to dispel the curse on his hands. The guys turned to catch eyes with each other like they were talking about something silently.

“What is it? What’s happened to her?”

Maysa started to feel worried. And seeing that, Wisana pressed his lips together. The memory of what happened back there was appearing in his mind before he said.

“They have her.”

----------------

“God damn. I was so close to death. Luckily, you were there to save us in time, or I would not have had any guts to see leader Sven ever again.”

A deep voice rang up tiredly. Bhira, chief of the field unit with those dark eyes and signature orange hair felt relieved after he got himself on a large carriage finally.

Inside the closed carriage, Jade, chief of the intelligence unit with silver hair was there as well. His face had a large wound trailing from the center of his forehead to the left cheek.

“It’s my duty.”

At the same time, a sweet voice came from a girl who was sitting across from Bhira. She was a small woman with an outfit that covered every part of her skin. There were only the lips that could be seen, apart from these, she was hiding them all. Even though there was little revealing skin, it could still be seen as tan, and those pink lips never smiled.

“By the way, you came to support in such perfect timing, Miguel. Did boss send you?”

Bhira asked again. His eyes were glancing at the girl in front of him to see her shaking her head slightly. Then he raised his eyebrows out of curiosity.

“I noticed that the situation was worsening, so I sneaked out to help.” She replied briefly.

“Well then, Boss’s not going to be mad with this? He doesn’t like someone to disobey his orders.”

“But if I didn’t come, we couldn’t imagine what possibly could have happened to you two and this hostage. If it wasn’t because of me, you wouldn’t have captured her to Sven like this.”

After hearing that, Bhira glanced at the one next to him.

On the long seat on his side, there was a woman unconsciously lying there. There were many bruises on her body. Their most important hostage, Nuchjaree, chief of the intelligence unit of the Nemesis guild.

“You’re right.” Bhira let out a soft sigh. “If you weren’t there, Vincent would have taken this woman back with him by now. ...That guy is totally dangerous. Even Leader Sven shot him twice, it still couldn’t kill him.”

“True.”

The woman named Miguel nodded in response. Her lips were still without showing any emotion.

“But that skill of yours really is something, Miguel.” Bhira complimented her after he recalled it. “Marionet Drive” was one of the SSS-tier skills. You’re incredible for being able to use a skill like this.”

“It was nothing, really.”

Miguel replied briefly again. The face under the clothes turned to the carriage window as it moved forward at a steady speed.

“You’re always humble about it. You’ve just joined our guild, not for long, but you’ve done a lot of magnificent work already. You’re going to be Sven’s favorite player surely.”

“It’s nothing special.” And that was once again that she said humbly.

“Anyway.” Bhira cut her off. “Some of our plans might be a little bit messed up, but we could still get our main goal. We’ve captured the main area now. Jade is badly wounded, and he probably starts yelling through the camp right after he wakes up, but we’ve got the top-tier prisoner back with us. And with the best bait like this, Leader Sven will come up with several tactics to deal with the Nemesis instantly.”

After hearing that, Miguel turned her face to the slender figure of Nuchjaree who was unconscious there again. She saw this woman’s lips parting a little in her sleep and cracked out a quiet chuckle.

Then Miguel’s lips started curling up into a smile slowly. It was a smile that Bhira missed, and it looked so cunning as well.

“You’re right. We’ve got the best bait now.”
