Chapter 377: Keep the Change Part V
Chapter 377: Keep the Change Part V
“And what’s this? The number one hunter of the game, Shindanai? You? Getting all beaten up like this?”
Jade did not even try to hide the mockery in his voice. That made Wisana, who was lying on his stomach on the ground, glance at Shin, before trying to look up at the man who was towering over him.
Wisana knew from the tone of his voice that this guy was totally not fond of Shin at all.
“I was wondering who Sven would send here, and it turned out to be this damned ‘Hyena’.”
Shin spoke up fearlessly. His eyes were staring right into the other’s eyes.
“Well, now I can see why,” Shin said, before faking a smile. “It’s perfect. Who would be more suitable for a backbiting tactic like this if it wasn’t a dog like you, right? Does Sven still feed you kibble food, or did he change to some bones now?”
“You!”
“Don’t, Jade.”
Bhira was the fastest one to tell his ally to stop like he knew what the other was going to do. So, Jade could only clench his jaws, turning his face away. If there was not someone to stop him, he would have gotten on top of this big mouth and thrown punches in the guy’s face by now!
“Where did you find them?” Bhira turned to ask one of his guild members who dragged these two here.
“Around the path to the mine, chief. I think they were going to capture the area, but I don’t know what’s wrong with them. I saw them stunned on the ground, so I took them here.”
Hearing that, Bhira nodded in reply and then nodded again to tell his men to continue with their other duties.
“Jade, turn Vincent up.”
He turned to his friend and gave him an order, making the one who was told what to do raise his eyebrows.
“Who are you to be ordering me around? Do it yourself.” Jade shouted furiously.
“I would if I didn’t have to carry this woman right now. Quit being a jerk and turn his face up.”
“So troublesome.”
Jade slipped out a few complaints, before grudgingly doing what he was told. He used his foot to push Vincent’s body on the ground to turn his face up, making the Nemesis guild members in the barrier shout furiously.
“Hey, you. Have some respect for our leader!”
“You can’t expect this will end well after doing that, you piece of trash.”
“Let us out, and we’ll prove that, douchebag!”
There were shouts of anger coming from the Nemesis. Bhira was letting out a long sigh at that as he glanced at his ally with a weary face that implied, “If I knew you were going to do it like this, I wouldn’t have asked you to, you piece of sh*t!”
“Here they go, started barking. They really love their leader, huh.”
Jade said cheerfully.
“He’s a prisoner, but he has the same title as our leader, you know. You should respect him a bit.”
Bhira said, sounding fed up with him. Then he looked down at Wisana consideringly. The tall man squatted down beside him. Those sharp eyes were looking at the chest of the man who was called “The Emperor of Magic” on the ground in front of him.
Until now, Bhira still did not want to believe that this man would lose this easily.
From what he heard from leader Sven and Tryne from the Dominion guild about the man named Vincent, both admired the man as one of the most dangerous players of the game, even.
And that man just got taken down like this...?
“You were shot by leader Sven, weren’t you?”
Bhira asked in a polite voice. He knew from a quick glance at the wound in Wisana’s chest that it was caused by a magic arrow covered in a strong curse.
And the only one in the game who was able to do this was Sven...
No, Sven was the only one who was able to shoot both Vincent and Shin like this.
“Yeah, he totally got us,” Wisana replied smilingly. “I guess I really underestimated him. I didn’t anticipate his joining the first battle like this, nor the shots from 3 kilometers away. Please tell him that I’m overly impressed with his skills and this high-level war strategy as well.”
Wisana complimented the enemy with an honest face. He was smiling softly like they were having normal small talk. He barely noticed what a hard situation he was in at the time.
This kind of person was intimidating...
Bhira thought, then sweated a little.
“Huh! There’s no need to ask him to deliver your words.” Jade interrupted in a raising voice, “We’re about to take you all to our leader anyway, as war prisoners, of course, even though I really want to crush someone into the dirt so much right now.”
He said and purposedly tilted his head down to look at Shin. And the one who was getting hated just pretended to not care in response.
Unlike Wisana who was blinking confusedly, before looking at the woman in Bhira’s arms.
“Anyway, is the girl you’re holding one of my people?”
After hearing that question, Bhira looked down at Nuchjaree who was still unconscious in his embrace.
“Yes, she is.” Bhira nodded in response.
“How come she lets you touch her like that? This girl is normally fractious.”
“I’ve tamed her.”
And Jade was the one who answered that proudly. Wisana then looked up and stared at the man in front of him for a moment like he was memorizing his face as accurately as he could.
“What are you staring at?” Jade asked in an annoying manner. “Are you mad for your girl? She’s crazy, you know? She knew she couldn’t fight me, but still relentlessly kept resisting. That’s why I had to take it seriously. You can’t blame me for that.”
These words made Wisana crack into a laugh instantly.
“What’s so funny?”
Jade started feeling displeased, because since he got tossed on the ground here, Vincent had never once seemed like he was bothered by this situation and acted like he was winning all the time.
That smile really got on his nerves!!
“If you don’t stop smiling, I’ll break all your teeth right now, Vincent.”
But the more Jade spoke, the wider Wisana’s smile got. He even started giggling at the time.
“You’re asking for this, okay?!”
“Don’t, Jade. Stop being childish already.”
That was once again when Bhira had to come in between his short-tempered friend because the man looked like he totally was going to beat Wisana up this time.
“I apologize if that upsets you,” Wisana spoke up amusedly, before looking up at the two again. “It’s kinda funny, thinking about it. So, you’re really sure that you’ve captured us as war prisoners? Isn’t it too soon for that though? Your support unit hasn’t even arrived yet. Don’t you think that something unexpected might happen until then?”
He paused for a moment after speaking. Then he looked Shin in the eyes for a second, before staring back at Jade and Bhira again.
“I’ve got to admit that your backbiting plan is great, as great as the 3-kilometer shots of Sven.” He chuckled after speaking. “But that isn’t enough to get me in your hand, you know. No way.”
