Chapter 354: Viola and Winter Part VI

Chapter 354: Viola and Winter Part VI

“Where’s mom?” He asked.

“She’s out to do her business. It looks like he has an urgent call to take.”

“Is that so?”

Wisana said in a wry voice. After that he laid down carefreely again, letting Maysa continue to stroke his hair.

“I was so shocked, you know?” Maysa said with a sour face. “That is how you always train with your mom? When Uncle Pairoch told me that you got knocked out at the morning practice, I was so scared. I almost called the ambulance after I saw your condition like that.”

Maysa said with a concerned face because she really thought that he was in a severe injury since he was dead still like that. And the others did not seem to care, they just left him lying on the floor like that, especially Ms. Wimon who seemed to be so cold when she looked at her son unconscious on the floor.

As if this was something so normal for them!

“It’s okay. May. This happens often.” He grinned. “When I practice with Mom, she always knocks me out like that. This time is worse than usual though. I was even knocked out for 3 hours. I guess that it will take an awfully long time before I can be compared with Mom.”

He said and let out a long sigh as Maysa looked tired just as much...

Because instead of worrying about his own body, this guy was worrying about the result of the fight. HRRR, guys really thought about this kind of thing only.

“Anyway, it’s 10 o’clock now. Aren’t you going out to the city with Dah?”

Wisana asked after realizing that Wisanaat, his little sister, volunteered to take her in-law out and explore Chiang Mai today. But how come Maysa was still here and having him lying on her lap like this?

“Of course not.” She said, squeezing his nose with her fingers, making him whine weakly. “How could I be in the mood to go hang out and have fun when my boyfriend was in a condition like that?”

“Hehehe.” Wisana could only force out a dry laugh. “Then right now, those guys are,”

“At the place where only heaven knows now. And Nam volunteered to go with them instead, because she was afraid that the trip wouldn’t be fun if there was one person missing. What a loving and caring sister she is for her brother.”

Maysa nagged, though she knew that Waree’s real intention was to give her a chance to spend time with Wisana alone. And she thought that it was the most pointless good intention because this guy and she stuck together almost all the time these days.

“I’ll take you out later then, just us. I’m sure it’ll be as much fun.”

Hearing her lover say that, Maysa gave him a sweet smile as she nodded.

“Okay.”

And seeing her smiling like that, the headache he was feeling started to recover slowly and strangely. Wisana rolled his eyes as he sighed, before noticing that Maysa’s other hand was holding a large book. He raised his eyebrows a little and then looked up into her eyes.

“Seems like waiting for me to wake up is quite boring, huh? How many books have you finished while I was passed out?”

Maysa paused, looking at the book in her hand, and curled up an amused smile.

“I just grabbed it a while ago. It’s an old book in the storeroom behind your gym.”

After speaking, she moved the book closer for Wisana to see the cover. After that, he narrowed his eyes, looking like he was not sure since when there was this kind of book in his house’s storeroom.

“Where did you get it again?” He repeated.

“From the storeroom. This one is old. It’s probably the issue from 30 years ago, but its condition is still good. Seems like it’s taken care of so well.”

The man was even more surprised after he heard about its age because the book that Maysa was reading was “Pride Magazine,” the weekly game magazine that updated information and news about the Pride game. It was a popular magazine that was two times older than him and was published in many languages all over the world.

“Why is there something like this in my house? No one here’s ever played this game.”

Wisana raised his eyebrows out of confusion because as he could remember, he had never heard anyone talking about the Pride game ever in this family.

“Maybe it belonged to your dad?”

Maysa guessed straightforwardly, but Wisana shook his head.

“No way.” He disagreed. “Has Dad ever been interested in any book that doesn’t have any sexy girl on the cover? I only saw him collecting those adult magazines.”

Listening to that, Maysa narrowed her eyes to her boyfriend instantly.

“And how did you know that he only collected that kind of book?”

“Well, I sneaked in and read all of them.” He held his thumb up with a cheeky face.

And after hearing that, his girlfriend held her knuckle up to knock the hurting head of his. But luckily, he held his hands up to stop her in time.

“I’m kidding, just kidding.” He said in a delighted voice, before giving her an annoying smile. “It’s Dad’s, huh? Maybe you’re right. ...So, he’s been interested in working with Pride company since he was young. That’s so cool.”

He finished speaking, before grabbing the magazine to look at the cover. And Maysa was right. The book was incredibly old, but it was clearly well cared for. There was barely a rip. The paper pages did not even turn yellow or crack at all.

“Vi ...ola?”

Wisana said each syllable of the name on the cover out loud, before Maysa smiled widely.

“Viola, she is one of those former players, and she was very popular in her time, too.”

After Maysa spoke, Wisana stared at the face of the woman on the cover right away. She was gorgeous like an angel. She had a slender body like a model. Her silver hair was in a waving motion and her amber eyes looked fiercely sharp.

Those eyes...

He felt like he had seen them somewhere before.

“I’m going to get jealous if you keep staring at her like that, Mister Wisana.”

Maysa cut in just like that, making the one who was using her lap as a pillow flinch instantly.

“You’re going to get jealous of someone from 30 years ago, too, Miss Maysa? This girl would have become an auntie by now. Who would be able to stay pretty like this forever, hm?”

Hearing Wisana nag her like that, Maysa chuckled as she slapped his arm softly.

“Who’s she?”

Wisana asked because he thought that she probably had read some articles about her in the magazine already.

“Well, she was famous and a very good player in that era.” She told him smilingly. “The woman was so smart and beautiful that many men had to surrender to her. Also, her play skills were savage like a monster that she was called goddess of war, you know.”

“Goddess of war?” Wisana repeated after her confusedly.

“Yeah, ...because she was the one who created the famous legend of 1 conquers 1,000. You’ve never heard of it? People still talk about it nowadays. I didn’t know who this legend was about at first, but after reading the magazine, I just found out that it was her, the woman named Viola.”

Wisana nodded slightly after listening to that.

“And what that 1 conquers 1,000 is about?”
