Chapter 346: The Night Before War Part VI

Chapter 346: The Night Before War Part VI

“You two are dating, right?”

Her question made the ones who were accused obviously pause at the same time.

“Eh, ...n ...no, we’re not. What makes you think that?” Maysa denied in a stuttering voice,

“You don’t have to hide it. I know from the first glance that you two are boyfriend and girlfriend. And how you acted at the meeting was obvious as well. Why are you hiding it, though? I think you two look good together.”

“...”

Both were speechless.

Who would have thought that this girl would get them busted within a quick look? And when Fahsai got their silence as the answer like that, it confirmed what she was suspecting instantly.

“See, I knew it.” She said, snapping her fingers out of satisfaction. “My rom-com radar never misses. So, if Mister Vincent is already taken, then Rak’s probably disappointed now.”

Her straightforward words made Shin shake his head wearily. Meanwhile, Valentine held her hand up to squeeze the nose of the leak-mouthed one harshly, making the girl cry “Ouch.”

“I think you’ve been talking more than necessary already. Maybe I should punish you a bit after we leave the party now.”

“Come on, I was like telling the truth.”

The younger one argued in an indistinct voice as Valentine turned to smile with Wisana and Maysa.

“Don’t worry about that. I already knew that you two are dating. So, you can trust me that I don’t have the taste of taking from others. Also, you two are already perfect together.”

Her words made the two look at each other with a complete wry smile.

So, it could be like this sometimes as well.

However, this Fahsai girl looked like one of those who spoke everything that came across their minds. She probably was not an annoying type or anything like that. She seemed nice.

“And you don’t have to worry about me either,” Fahsai said. “Even though Mister Vincent looks very handsome, I already have someone else I like.”

After that, she purposedly leaned on Shin’s shoulder, making the two’s smiles look wry even more. Wisana glanced at his sister and saw that she still looked like she did not care at all.

“Could you stop talking too much already, Fah? Staying quiet for a while doesn’t make you become mute, you know.”

Shin said with a deadpan face. He barely wanted to look at anyone right now. It was obvious that he was extremely annoyed.

“Why? We’re a couple, aren’t we?” Fahsai smiled brightly.

“Don’t say something stupid.”

“You’re being shy about it again, Shin. We’re an engaged couple and will get married to each other one day anyway.”

Her words sounded like she was in a good mood, but they made Shin clench his jaws, while Wisana and Maysa were widening their eyes.

“Engaged couple?!” Both cried out loud.

“That’s right.” Fahsai grinned. “Our families made the promise a long time ago. And personally, I’m fine with Shin, so I agree to it.”

Hearing that, Wisana and Maysa could only look at each other confusedly, while Valentine was face-palming tiredly. And finally, Shin turned his face away with an uncomfortable-looking face.

At the same time, waltz music that was specifically for dancing was played, a sign that the dance floor at the center of the party hall was now available. And many men and women were bringing their dance partners to the floor already.

“Goodness, they started dancing now. Shin, let’s go dance together.”

Fahsai yelled, but Shin was in the condition of not enjoying himself with people. He turned to scold Fahsai through the look from his fierce eyes, making the talkative one look withering in the blink of an eye.

“Good evening, everyone.”

But suddenly, there was another voice speaking up politely, making everyone turn to the voice. The newcomer was a tall man with a good-looking face and purple hair tied in a ponytail, looking unordinary.

“Oh, hello, Mister William. I didn’t notice that you’ve arrived at the party already.”

Valentine was the one who greeted smilingly, before standing up to shake hands with the male stranger formally. The man nodded with a smiley face.

“I just got here.”

“Is that so?”

Valentine smiled at him, before looking at Vincent. And then she realized that she had to introduce him to everyone as well.

“Everyone, I’d like to introduce to you. This man’s William, the leader of the William Star guild, the 8th-ranked guild that chose to be on the same side as us.”

Hearing that, Wisana’s mouth parted a little out of surprise, before hurriedly getting up to greet the other.

“My apologies for not noticing you. I’m Vincent.”

He quickly introduced himself, holding his hand out for the ponytail guy to shake it firmly.

“It’s alright. It’s not your fault that you did not notice me because your eyes are clouded by the beauty of Miss Valentine. If there’s something to blame, I think we have to blame this woman for being too gorgeous.”

Huh?

Everyone was stunned silently by the same thing. Especially Wisana, he hurriedly let go of this cheesy jackass’ hand right away. Like, what corny romantic movie was this guy from?

“Please have a seat with us, Mister William.”

Valentine invited him out of courtesy. Moreover, she was still smiling like nothing had happened and that she was used to how this guy was already.

“It’s okay, Miss Valentine,” William said. “Right now, there’s someone I can’t take my eyes off at all. From the first time I saw her, my heart skipped a beat. I’ve never felt this way before, and that feeling leads me to this table.”

He finished speaking and looked at Waree who was sitting at the table as well. The one who was stared at made a sound out of her throat like. “Yes?” before her mouth started gasping with no words coming out. And Shin who was sitting on the other side of the table parted his lips a little as well. Those purple eyes looked up at the cheesy man instantly.

‘Is he flirting with me?’

Waree doubted that in her mind.

Could he swear that he was flirting?

“Could you please dance with me for one song?”

Then William guy held his hand to Waree politely. Wisana made a sound like, “Hey, hey,” but Maysa quickly yanked his sleeve down to prevent his possessiveness from being triggered at the wrong time.

“Me?” Waree said confusedly.

“That’s right, Miss Waree. I hope you wouldn’t destroy the little hope of an ordinary man who dared to ask you, a beautiful angel from heaven, to dance to a beautiful song with me, right?”

After speaking, the William guy turned to look at Wisana with a wide smile.

“You wouldn’t mind if I borrowed your sister for a moment, would you?”

He asked straightforwardly. And Wisana had never seen someone flirting with one of his sisters so boldly like this before. Moreover, he was in a situation where he could not lose it and yell at the guy straightforwardly as well.

“...Er, ...I think.”

“That’d be my pleasure.”

Wisana did not finish his sentence when Waree spoke up in a sweet voice first. She placed her hand on the large hand of William, before standing up with good manners.

“Why would I reject a man who says something so straightforwardly like you?”

Waree smiled sweetly, before glancing at Shin from the corner of her eye.

“Well, if you may excuse me, everyone.”
