Chapter 324: Babysitter Part III
Chapter 324: Babysitter Part III
And before they realized it, it was morning already.
"Speaking of your dragon bible book,” Tunwa said, paying attention to the thick book in his hands again. “We actually have to see a dragon, so the book can make a profile for the dragon for us, right?”
“Yeah.” Wisana nodded in response.
“So, last night, I suppose you killed a lot of dragons, didn’t you? There’re only a few dragons you’ve seen, counting from only those that you’ve hunted with me and Lord Inferno. But this book already has more than 40 races of dragons, Na.”
Listening to that, Wisana grinned, glancing at his best friend with a sparkling eye.
“My friend, you can’t imagine what it was like to be surrounded by every dragon in the dungeon. Even Angie was stunned still at the number of the enemies, dude.”
“Really?”
Tunwa turned to speak in a low, deep voice.
“Really.”
“Na,” The one with brown hair leaned closer and grinned. “Next time, if you don’t take me to have something fun like this, we’re not friends anymore, okay?”
“Oh, don’t worry about that. There will be a lot of fun things coming if you’re staying with me.”
“This is why I’ve been hanging out with you, bro.”
And then, the two started bursting out laughter resoundingly that they made other people around jump. Because, well, the laughter of these crazy men who risked their lives for fun was not undertone at all.
“I really can’t wait for the war to come, you know.” Tunwa started a new conversation with an extremely lively gesture. “Think about it, we’ll be able to fight other players without violating the game’s rules, anywhere.”
“Why are you acting like some bully gang kids, Tun? I’m too tired of cleaning up after you now, you know. Have you not learned that at our first meeting, I had to save you from those senior students, or you would have been beaten already.”
“Hey, they were the ones who started picking a fight with me.” Tunwa objected with a stiff voice.
“I know, but you shouldn’t have made an annoying face at them in the first place.”
Hearing that, Tunwa made a snorting sound out of his throat.
“Na, my face might look annoying, but your mouth is totally a big, bad one!
He never let the chance to nag the other back go. These crappy standing comedians continued roasting each other, and the people who were looking at them from afar seemed like they were used to this already. Because something like this happened every time the chief of the field unit and the leader Vincent talked to each other.
“Anyway, today you have a major meeting in Dores, right? That meeting for the war’s agreement thing.”
Tunwa asked, and Wisana nodded in response.
“They just now sent me a notification that they’re sending a car to pick us up at the guild at 9 o’clock.”
“Bro! They’ve got a car for you? Our Vincent’s mightier than I expected.”
“Yeah, they know how VIP I am.”
Wisana never let go of the opportunity to talk big as well. Right now, he was sticking his chest out to look dignified. And that made the other feel annoyed that he had to hit Wisana’s head with a knuckle harshly.
“But why is the meeting in Dores? I thought that they would arrange it at the capital Tristan at first.”
“I don’t know either.” Wisana shrugged his head. “But I heard Miss Stella say that those major meetings are normally arranged in Dores anyway because there’s the Athenia tower that can hold more people than in the capital.”
“Oh,” Tunwa drawled in understanding, before slipping out a chuckle. “Speaking of Miss Stella, she’s so omniscient. It’s like she has the answer for everything.”
“You’re saying that Miss Stella is...”
“Old.”
Then the two burst out laughing at the same time before Wisana smacked his friend’s head harshly. Then he snapped.
“Calling her old is too harsh. Let’s just say that she has more life experience than we do.”
“Including those wriggles on her face, too?”
After Tunwa’s voice, the two laughed out loud again. And if one had to guess, Miss Stella, the chief of the medical unit was probably sneezing so hard as if her nose would fall off right now.
“You can’t say something like this in front of her ever, you know? This might be just a joke between us, but women won’t find this funny at all.” Wisana was trying to hold back his smile as he turned to warn his idiotic friend.
“Yeah, I know. I always know the line of having the offensive mouth.”
“God, why do you sound so proud speaking that?”
KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
They did not continue enjoying their chitchat, because suddenly there was a scream coming up resoundingly, making the boys pause and other Nemesis guild members around there jump. Many birds were scared out of their nest on the trees, and many glass windows were cracked right away.
“What the hell is that noise? It’s freaking making my ears hurt!”
Tunwa yelled aloud, while he was holding up his hands to cover his ears because the noise was still not stopping. Moreover, other people around here started passing out on the ground, because they could not endure the noise.
“This scream?”
Wisana creased his face out of the hurt in his ears. He was shocked, too, but deep down, he felt remarkably familiar with this sound strangely.
“It sounds like it’s coming from the back, around your bedroom, Na,” Tunwa shouted out amid this resounding loud scream.
SMASH!
And finally, the glasses of water were broken into pieces, because they could not hold themselves together with an ear-hurting, treble sound like that. Wisana glanced at his friend for a second, before he could get it together and realized that sound really came from somewhere around his room totally. Then those amber eyes immediately widened.
“Holy! That can’t be!”
“Na, hey, where are you going? Wait up.”
And the boys did not waste any more time to rush to the source of this ear-piercing scream. Wisana knew in an instant that there was only one person... well no, one creature who could scream this loud. He had only heard it once, but that was enough for him to remember so well.
And even though the scream this time did not come from the same one, it was not much different ....as they were of the same kind of creature!
Wisana leapt over and ran straight to his room in a moment. Along the way, there were many guild members being unconscious on the ground disorderly after they got attacked by this destroyer scream. When he got to the destination, he saw his private room door was left open.
That was all to make Wisana cover his ears tighter and hurry inside the room instantly.
“I knew it. You’re awake.”
Wisana said wearily, looking at the image in front of him which was something that made him tired somehow.
“Woah! This girl’s got quite a killer voice. Na, hurry up and go comfort your baby!”
Tunwa, who just caught up with him, hit Wisana’s shoulder to get his consciousness back because he could barely stand this destroyer voice now. Hearing that, Wisana nodded, before rushing to the owner of the noise who was still screaming out loud nonstop.
Right now, the black-haired girl with a pair of amber eyes and those cute little lips was throwing a big tantrum on Wisana’s bed. Her hands were gripping the mattress tightly, a normal reaction for a kid waking up and not seeing their parents around!
The damage from her voice was way too far from a normal kid though!
“There, there, hush now, honey, daddy’s here now, shhh.”
