Chapter 309: Dragon’s Blood Ceremony (1) Part I

The night sky was fading as the sun was rising out of the horizon with a golden light, a sign that a new morning was about to start from now on.

It was a delightful morning with a man who had a healthy-looking body and blue hair. He was wearing a straw hat and a white tank top soaked in sweat. He had a pair of loose, comfortable pants on and a pair of high-top boots. Briefly, he almost looked like a farmer.

“Oh, this one is nicely ripe.”

A cheerful voice spoke joyfully. His rough hands in a pair of gloves were holding pruning shears out, nipping the branches above a strange-looking fruit that looked like an apple but pink in color.

“This season can grow everything so good, especially these Eden fruits. After they got some dragon fertilizer, the fruits won’t stop growing now.”

After speaking, he tossed that beautiful pink fruit behind his back that already had a girl with twin-tailed hair and a cold face waiting there to catch it accurately with a basket in her hands.

“How about we bake strawberry pie, topped with Eden seed today? What do you think, Thong Yod?”

After that, the owner of the blue hair turned to smile sweetly at the girl who was carrying a large basket.

“I think it’s a good idea. The pie type dessert is my strong suit anyway.” She replied with an emotionless face.

“Right? It seems our guests will need to eat a lot of it, too.” He smiled widely. “After doing a tough quest like that, maybe some sweets that can restore some energy might be useful for them. So, do me a favor and make a lot of it please, Thong Yod.”

“Copy that.”

The NPC named Thong Yod bowed in reply gently. Then the blue-haired man named Lexiera the Baraza XIII, or what he preferred to be called by everyone, Lex, took off his gardening gloves and tossed the pruning shears into his inventory right away.

“Anyway, where’s your sister, Thong Yod? I haven’t seen her at all this morning.”

Lex asked as he started walking out of the fruit field that had many kinds of trees planted neatly in rows.

“She’s gone to feed the dragons at the farm.” The emotionless girl replied while she was carrying the basket in her hands closely behind him.

“Right, she’s so hard working. Those dragons would be so happy to be taken care of by such a pretty girl like her.” Lex said, before looking ahead of him and seeing that the one they were talking about was coming in their direction just in time. “There she is, showing up right after we have mentioned her.”

The newcomer girl had twin-tailed hair and everything else looked exactly like Thong Yod. The only difference was that her face was not dusty even a little, and she was wearing a red overall with a pair of high-top boots.

“How’s it going, Thong Yip? Are our dragons happy today?” Lex asked.

“Not so much, Sir.” Hearing the answer from the second emotionless girl, Lex drawled in his throat that sounded like ‘What?’ “There was something happening that disturbed the dragons’ feelings a little. So, they started screaming and bawling messily. It took me quite a while before I could fix all that.”

“And what’s the thing that disturbed them?”

Lex got curious. It could not be other monsters, since those would never come near that area that was full of dragon poop, the item that had a strong smell and the quality to keep other monsters away effectively!

So, the more he tried figuring it out, the more he got curious. What kind of thing could trigger the offensiveness of the dragons?

“It’s me!”

After that, there was a hoarse voice coming from another man, sounding furious. Lex looked in the direction curiously, and at the first glimpse of the newcomer, he almost slipped his laughter out. Luckily, Lex was polite enough to hold that snort back in time.

“What puddle did you roll yourself over, Mister Vincent?”

Lex asked in a teasing tone, making the veins under Wisana’s temples twitch.

“To be more accurate, this is dragon’s shit!”

“Well, yeah, I know. But what I want to know is why you put yourself in a pile of dragon’s shit like that.”

Getting a retort like that, the owner of those amber eyes raised his eyebrows, before rolling up his sleeves like he was about to come fight this smart mouth especially.

“Not that I wanted to try rolling on those piles of poop to breathe the microbe into my lungs. Stop playing dumb, or I’m going to put some of this poop on your face.”

“Uh-uh, please stop it right there. I’m not fond of playing dirty like that.”

Lex laughed out loud as he ran behind Thong Yod’s back so fast, leaving the one who was going to get back at him pushing a breath of frustration out.

Right now, the tall man looked all dirty with the brown dragon poop that was well-known for having the slinkiest smell. Most of his face was covered in dragon poop. His hair got all messy. And this did not happen to the man only. There was also this little girl who usually was grumpy already, right now her face looked grumpy even more when her face and her body were covered in the brown stinky thing. Angie was staring at Lex like she wanted to fight him too.

“My goodness, even the little mage got stained by it, too? So, how exactly did you two end up with a huge load of poop on you like this?” Lex asked with a smile.

“It’s because of that crappy dragon flare of yours, jerk,” Wisana yelled. “After we used it, it teleported us to your dragon farm, and right on where a dragon just took a dump, like what the hell. And after those dragons saw me, they thought that we were thieves also. Good that this woman came in time, or we probably got crispy burnt again surely!”

After listening to that, Lex burst out a loud laugh, making the one who got mockingly laughed at almost losing his temper again. But the irritating master started shaking from trying to hold in laughter instead. His hands were holding up in apologizing.

“T ...there could be a mistake when you said the password,” Lex said, hands trying to cover his mouth from laughing. “If you said it in the wrong key, or a bit out of the accent, it would take you to the wrong spot like you saw. If you said it properly, you would have been waiting for me in the office by now.”

He said, pointing at a large building that was not far from here.

Hearing that, Wisana almost breathed fire out of his mouth.

“Then you should have said that sooner, you jerk! You want to try falling in a pile of dragon shit for once, huh?!”

After that, Wisana made an uncomfortable face, as did Angie, who was trying her best not to breathe this unpleasant smell in her nose more than this, or else she might get cancer growing out of her nose, surely. Lex looked at the condition of the two and turned to Thong Yip and Thong Yod with a knowing smile, trying to hold back his laughter.

“Anyway, let’s have you two go clean yourselves first for now. I believe that you have everything that I asked you to find, right?”

Hearing that, Wisana gazed at Lex.

“Of course. Why would we get back to you if we didn’t?”

“Good.” The glasses man showed his satisfied smile. “I’m going to take a shower as well. So, Mister Vincent and little lady please enjoy the bath, and we’ll talk about the final quest later, alright?”

Wisana and Angie almost bowed in gratitude for the words of this Lex guy so much.

“This is the first time that the words coming out of your mouth are so pleasing to me, to be honest.”
