Chapter 280: The Upgraded Nemesis and Major Meeting Part V

Chapter 280: The Upgraded Nemesis and Major Meeting Part V

“Well, to ignore the fun thing that is right there in front of us is not really like me either. But you might have already known that, since I’m your number one troublemaker anyway, right?”

Everyone laughed at his words. The little joke could loosen up the stress in the room a lot.

“We’re kind of used to that already, Boss. It doesn’t really feel like Nemesis if it’s not chaotic.”

A man with a monocle spoke up right away. He was sitting next to Manoch. And his sentences made everyone laugh.

“Remember when we were out there to get rampaged in the Blood Moor Volcano? I don’t think I’ve ever experienced anything worse than that day. Boss. I assure you that was the worst day of my life.”

Another lady who looked kind of aged spoke up with endearment in her tone. After that, a girl with short red hair spoke up as well.

“I know right? That day, Miss Stella had to run from the fire golem, while you were getting called to heal everyone that you drank the pixie potion like water. I remember how you drank it to boost up your energy, looking like those guys drinking Red Bulls. That was scary.”

“But that day, our Boss was totally beaten up, too. Did you see that Balrog burned his pants to make a hole in the middle? Hilarious.” Manoch joined in to tease the Boss as well.

After that, everyone cracked into a delighted laugh, while the one who was sitting at the head of the table was scratching his cheek to cover the embarrassment. The endearing boss was getting teased from every direction and he could only give a wry smile in return.

A-HEM!!

When the joy started to be a little bit too much, a cold cough sound was heard amid everyone’s laughter clearly, making them quiet down. And Manoch was desperately trying to hold in his laugh as much as he could, even though the one who just coughed was gazing at him with those grey eyes.

“Uh, where were we? Right.” Wisana scratched his face. “...Since we’ve decided to bring our guild into the war, I’d like every unit chief to ask their team if they’re ready and willing to join the war or not. Because there has to be someone who doesn’t want to join it as well. So, in such a case, the GMs have built the beta server up to support the players who don’t want to participate in the war. They can transfer their IDs to the server and play the game normally until the war period ends.

After Wisana’s voice, there was a hand of someone raising up. She was the oldest one here. She had golden hair kept in a tight bun by five hairpins, and she was wearing a gown coat like those doctors did.

“Yes, Miss Stella?”

Wisana opened his palm to her as an invitation for the woman to talk.

“Is there any age restriction in joining this war? There’re quite a lot of minors in my unit, the youngest one is 14, I think.”

“No, there’s not, Chief Stella.” Maysa was the one who answered. “Everyone can participate in the event. But you have to remember that the period of the war in this season will be a lot longer than usual. They’ve changed it to 10 hours for 5 days, I think.”

“So, the problem is how to calculate and manage the time outside the game, huh? There have to be those people who have something to do in the real world and cannot stay in the game that long as well. Okay, I’ll go back to explain this to everyone.”

“Great.”

Maysa smiled at the words from the woman named Stella. This golden-haired woman seemed to be the most senior one in the guild, she gained the most respect from others also. She got promoted to be the chief of the medical unit that included 30 players from the healing mage class, or those potion compounders.

“And for the members that don’t belong to any unit yet, I’ll have to ask you a favor to give them the details about the war, Nam. Anyway, please help them with choosing a unit as fast as possible, or there’ll be a huge mess coming surely.”

Wisana turned to speak with the deputy of the guild, a.k.a. his sister, and she nodded in reply right away. Seeing that, the older one smiled, before turning his attention to the members at the meeting again.

“Next, I’d like to ask about the progress of the tasks that I gave you at the beginning of the month. I’d like to check how prepared we are, so we know what to add on and what problems we have to fix.”

He finished speaking, before taking the information papers from Maysa. Then those amber eyes read the texts on them thoroughly.

“Cut that Jerk Tunwa and slacking Nuchjaree right off. These guys skipped the meeting, and I’ll ask your opinion on how to punish them later, I want to suggest having them work as an assistant with the NPC in our restaurant for a few days will be good.” He said, then let out a weary sigh. “Also, the guild consultant is still missing, maybe he still sulks at me, so, let’s skip him today also.”

Everyone let out a laugh at Vincent’s joking words perfunctorily because they were afraid if they went along too much with their boss who liked going out of the topic, they could get the cold gaze of the chief of staff again.

“Staring with you, Miss Stella.” Wisana began as he looked up from the papers to the golden-haired woman’s eyes. “How have your medical unit been doing with making the potions and herbs deals?”

“Yes,” Stella nodded in reply. “I’ve prepared many kinds of potions for dispelling the curses. And about mid-month, I started coordinating with the members who have planting skills to grow many types of herbs to be the ingredients in compounding potions. Right now, our products have turned out to be of excellent quality, with a quantity that should be enough for us to use. So, in conclusion, we now have enough potions for the war, our herb growing is going so well, and we have hired NPCs to take care of the garden and deliver the harvest to the camp continuously.”

“That’s great.”

Wisana replied as he wrote something down on the paper in his hand, before handing it to Maysa. And she almost cracked into a laugh after reading it, because this cheeky one wrote, “Did Miss Stella ask for the budget to make her herbs field from Ae? Look at his face.”

As expected, the one in charge of money frowned, making Maysa shake from trying so hard to hold in her laughter as she hit her boyfriend’s arm teasingly under the table as well.

“Uh, how about you, Orn... Ow! I mean Warunya, is the green label item production going well? How’s coordination with the other units?”

Wisana had to say that through gritted teeth after a small hand of the one next to him pinched him harshly because he called someone unnecessarily too familiar!

“No problem, Boss.” The owner of that gorgeous smile replied amusedly. “My team has been working very hard recently. Because there’re orders from other units for those green-label items. So, I have to hire an alchemist NPC to help us with the workload as well. We’re doing just fine.”

She said with a small laugh, sounding so cute. This gorgeous girl had been confirmed by people around her that she really looked cuter many times in this new hairstyle. Even though it was fire red which totally contrasted with the previous one, it still made her look extraordinarily good in another mood. Her big round eyes were catching her boss, while she was smiling at him without any special feeling going on between them anymore. However, he had to make a noise of pain through his gritted teeth again, because this time, it was his toenail that was getting crushed right now.

“E ...er, so there’s a high rate of success in producing, right?”
