Chapter 273: Coming Home Part IV
Chapter 273: Coming Home Part IV
“There, let me see you. Aw, I haven’t seen you in only a while, but you’ve got this much handsome? It’s been a long time since you moved out. And it feels like forever before you come back to visit once in a while. Don’t you know that our farm is getting a lot quieter while you are gone?”
“That’s why I come here to visit every year, Mom Yoii.”
Wisana replied Politely, before realizing that there were people who he needed to introduce her to. So, the tall man pushed two women to be in the front.
“Let me introduce; this one is Aunt Yoii. She was my wet nurse for me when I was a baby, so I call her ‘Mom Yoii.’ She’s also Uncle Pairoch’s wife as well. Oh, her name might be like this, but she’s still firm and sexy (1), you know.”
“Come on, Na. What are you saying?!”
Auntie Yoii hit his arm once, before turning to accept greetings from the girls, Tunwa, and Nuchjaree whom she was already familiar with.
She was a chubby lady with short hair and a kind face. She also had fair white skin like how most people from Chiang Mai did.
“Come on in. I’ve prepared some cool drinks and snacks for you guys. Miss Wimon’s been looking forward to you since dawn, and she even did the cooking herself today.”
And it worked so well after Tunwa heard the word snack, he hurriedly went inside the house right away. While everyone else was following him in, Aunt Yoii approached her husband who was busy unloading their stuff. Even though there were six bags carried in his hands, he still managed to do that easily with his strong body.
“Honey, who’s that girl?” Yoii whispered.
“The one with a ponytail and a white t-shirt, Honey.”
The couple sent a family secret code to each other as they followed the kids inside the house.
Those round eyes of the Auntie of the farm rolled to the one who was wearing a white t-shirt as her husband said. She examined through those big round grey eyes, her sweet smile, and her manners briefly. Then, a smile came across the elder’s face, a big smile that her wrinkle appeared.
“Aw, so cute. Na really knows how to choose. Miss Wimon would be so happy for sure.”
“I Told you that you didn’t have to be worried. Na had a good taste in girls.”
“Well, I can’t help it. I raised him since he was so little.”
“You said that, too, when our young lady was about to get married and move out. You were so paranoid for her, and how did that turn out? She’s happy with her life now, right? You also saw her and her husband being so romantic together that all the staff in the farm got jealous yesterday.”
“Yeah, I know that, but I’m just worried!” Yoii snapped her husband softly. “We still can’t be assured about that. I must test her a little, and we’ll see if the girl fits to be Na’s girlfriend or not.”
Hearing that, Pairoch paused.
“You still haven’t canceled this stupid plan? Stop right there. If Na knows, he will be angry, and I don’t want to get the collateral hit as well.”
“Don’t waste your time stopping this. Miss Wimon is the one who plans this herself, so it has to continue on no matter what.”
Pairoch let out a long sigh.
“Miss, too, acting like a kid.”
“Come on. Take this seriously, Honey.” Yoii disagreed in a stiff voice. “Think about it. That girl could be in charge of the farm one day, who knows? And there’ll be at least me, who will be against their dating if she turns out to be some lame woman.”
“I think you’re talking about the villain in the TV dramas. There’re many nice girls out there these days.”
“No, there are not.” Yoii cut him off. “She might look cute and pure, but she could actually be evil on the inside, who knows.”
“Okay then, do what you have to do, but don’t get me involved with this. I don’t want Na to be mad at me, too.”
“Fine, you useless employee.”
“Huh, why did you say that, Honey?”
“Er, Uncle.”
The couple had not finished their argument when there was a sweet voice interrupting them with all caution about her manner. Maysa was standing there with a wry smile in front of them, with Waree tilting her head to the side with curiosity about what these two were talking about.
“Yes, Miss May?” Uncle Pairoch yelled as he tried to act normal.
“Let us help you with that.”
She said, reaching her hand out to one of the bags that Pairoch was carrying, troubling him to protest.
“No, no, it’s okay. I can carry them just fine. I normally carry something a lot heavier than these.”
“That’s right, Miss. Leave a labor job like this to the uncle.”
Yoii said with a dry laugh. She was not sure if Maysa overheard everything they said or not, but she had to force up a smiley face at them for now.
The girls looked at each other for a second, before grinning so widely and giggling.
“No, it is not okay. Please let me help, at least let me carry my own bag.”
Maysa insisted, before grabbing her bag and Wisana’s to carry them herself, as well as Waree who hurriedly grabbed her shoulder bag, too.
“You don’t have to treat us like VIP guests like this. Just take two of us like one of the people here.” Waree added.
After that, the two took their bags inside the house as they giggled so cutely like Tinkerbelle all the way, leaving Pairoch stunned with their loveliness. Then he could not help but turn to scold his wife.
“I told you they’re nice, especially Miss May.”
Yoii had a surprised face, she gave her husband side eyes anyway and proceeded with the plan, still.
“Er, Miss, you two haven’t been here before, so may I ask you a question?”
The Auntie of Waleerak farm had started to game, so fast that Pairoch could only hold a hand to stop her, but he was two seconds late for this.
“Yes, Auntie Yoii?” Maysa answered at the same time as Waree.
“Are you afraid of Jakkalors?”
“Yes? Jak, ...kalors?”
Waree got confused when she heard this strange word, and that brought an evil smile across the aged face of this lady right away.
The first stage, “If you don’t do what Romans do when in Rome, then get out” seemed successful!
“What? You’ve never heard that one before? Aw, maybe you should have learned some northern vocabulary before you came here. Na would have liked girls who know the northern dialect, so...”
“It means lizard, Nam.”
Maysa cut her off in a way that made Yoii completely stunned. She glanced at the older one, before smiling at her with sparkling eyes for a moment and continued asking.
“What’s up with the lizards, Auntie? I’m not afraid of them though. I want to be a photographer, so I’ve taken photos of reptiles like this many times.”
“W ...well, nothing. It’s just that there are many of them around here. So, if you don’t like them, you can tell me, and I’ll have Uncle scare them away from the big house.”
“Oh, I’m cool with them around, thank you.” Maysa smiled widely.
“Me, too.” After she could catch up, Waree hurriedly nodded in support.
When she got this kind of reaction, the older one could only force up a smile confusedly before she sneakily made a noise of displeasure.
But well, that could be just a fluke, who knew? So, she tried again.
“Anyway, what kind of food do you two like? Is there anything you don’t eat? For example, those Bafakmon, Bakuesom, or Shakria?”
