Chapter 271: Coming Home Part II

Chapter 271: Coming Home Part II

“As long as they have the storm in control, I still believe that they have a plan to deal with us to gain the upper hand for sure. Especially the kid named Vincent, I distrust him. My instincts say that he’ll definitely cause us problems.”

“That’s what I think as well.”

Nero concluded with a smile, making Scarlet pause.

“You were at the incident, so you had to see something in him as well, right?”

“No, not me, but Allen did.” Nero shrugged slightly. “Suddenly he just wanted to fight one on one with that Vincent kid. I mean, ...you know what he’s like, right? But the results were that the guy killed the virus that was developed by half of his and my data so easily, making us retreat to the dark zone in no time.

“A dangerous one, huh, this kid.”

Scarlet smiled so sweetly, totally contrasting with her words.

“But he’s just a kid that has no idea about what’s behind the Pride world, Miss. So, I think that we shouldn’t be worried about this guy that much, even though he’s Viola’s son.”

“Because he’s Viola’s son, that’s why I can’t be assured about this.”

Nero laughed at those words. He nodded slightly, as he placed the empty teacup down on the cart before he got up and brushed the dust off his pants.

“If you’re so worried, should I be keeping an eye on this kid for you? Observing him has become my hobby anyway. I can go find him in Pride right after Allen wakes up.”

“You don’t have to.”

The woman cut him off with a smile, while she was standing up slowly.

“I’ve sent Miguel to do that job already. She’s gone to observe Pride for three weeks already.”

Those red lips curled up a little as a strange-looking spark flashed in those big round eyes that were pretty like deep blue gems.

And hearing that, the listener slipped out a laugh.

“She’s been undercover to spy on people again? It’s really her strong skill.” He shook his head slightly. “Then what do I do? To be honest, if Vicent’s not involved, I really don’t want to do anything.”

“So, don’t do anything,” Scarlet said in a drawling voice. “You, me, and Allen have to stay in the dark zone because the full moon is coming soon, ...then he will be awakening again.”

Her words made the tall man pause instantly. His fair face showed excitement for the first time.

“Boss is going to be awake?”

“Yeah, and completely as well.”

“That’s great. So, our plan can be started finally!”

They both smiled at each other. Two different colored pairs of eyes were looking at the furthest casket with the amber decorated on the cross on top of the pitch-black wooden cover.

With letters carved into it saying, ‘Lucius’.

“Tun! Can you stop being so stiff? The plane has landed on the runway safely for ages now!”

The scolding was heard with laughter in the background, but that did not make the golden brown-haired stop shaking at all. At that moment, there were five teenagers standing at Chiang Mai airport with four pairs of eyes staring at the chickened man as they felt both amused and pity for him.

Even though Tunwa was trying to walk as naturally as he could, his damn body was still so tense that it made him walk like a robot anyway!

“When will you stop being afraid of heights?”

Nuchjaree said with a tired face. She put her backpack on her shoulder, while one of her hands was pulling the luggage of someone who was unable to stop his legs from shaking right now.

“Nuch, being scared of heights is not a cold to be cured by a set of medicine!”

“What I’m trying to say is, you’re already grown up, why are you still scared of this kind of thing?”

“It’s not related to growing up or not. It’s not related at all!!”

Tunwa argued loudly as he stomped out ahead of them. To the back, Wisana put his moderate-size shoulder bag on his shoulder, as well as Maysa and Waree who only had the same bags on one of their shoulders as well.

“You don’t look well, Nam, don’t tell me that you’re afraid of heights like Tun, too,” Maysa asked, touching the other’s shoulder gently because her face really looked unwell.

“I didn’t sleep much last night, so I feel a bit motion-sick right now. I’ll be fine.”

Waree smiled at her to assure her that she was okay. And after Wisana finished using his cell phone, he turned to smile wryly at his sister.

“Apart from May, you’re the other one who gets excited, right? I’m so happy for my mom that there are so many people looking forward to meeting her like this.”

His words made the girls look at each other for a second, before reaching their hands to pitch the upper arm of the leak-mouthed one, making him scream out.

“Taking someone’s stress as a joke like this isn’t nice at all, Na!”

“You’re mocking instead of comforting your girlfriend when she’s anxious, this is what you deserve!”

After they finished speaking, the girls turned their faces away from him, making the one who got ganged up frown sulkily. But well, he was not sure if he should be glad or sad that these two got along so well that they could team up to bully him like this!!

“For May, I understand what she’s worried about right now,” Wisana said, rubbing his arm where it was hurt up and down. “But why are you nervous, too, Nam? What do you have to do with this?”

Waree paused with that question a little. Her gorgeous face was down like she was not sure what face she should be making. And that made Maysa mutter her lips at Wisana, implying that he just said something bad. And the one who got scolded with the look in her eyes raised his eyebrows.

“Well, no, there’s nothing to do with me. But I can’t help feeling anxious about meeting Miss Wimon anyway. Well, I’m afraid that she’d hate me.”

That was when Wisana understood it all.

She had a point. Even though he had accepted Waree as a sister now, he still could not be sure if his family would do the same. Because the fact that Waree was the daughter of the person who made his family separate would never fade away.

Waree had been stressed out about meeting the person whose mom just took her lover away. She did not know if everyone there would give her a gentle smile like Wisana did for her every day or not. But seeing the sad face of his sister, Wisana held up his hand to stroke her hair softly with a gentle smile.

“Come on, everyone will like you surely.” He said, rocking her hand left and right. “Who wouldn’t, since you’re so adorable like this? ...Oh wait, there’s something you should be worried about actually.”

“What?” Waree raised her eyebrows.

“It’s about people in Mom’s farm.”

Those green eyes flashed with worry again for a second.

“People on the farm don’t like me?”

“It’s not that.”

“Eh?”

“There’re many guys in the farm, and if one of them hits on you, I totally won’t be okay with it, especially Uncle Choke. You need to stay away from him. This one is a flirt and talks like poetry.”

The answer made the listeners stunned for three seconds, before cracking a laugh.

“Come on, Na!”

“You’re so nonsense, silly!”

Then the girls giggled as they walked ahead of Wisana, making the man smile widely. After seeing that they got more relaxed, he took out his phone again and contacted someone.
