Chapter 259: Four Months Later Part I
Chapter 259: Four Months Later Part I
The sun had just started shining its soft golden light from the horizon, reflecting in beautiful sparks. A slow wind was blowing past a girl, making her light brown hair waving in a relaxing atmosphere in the morning.
The sound of the ocean waves crashing the bleach was heard in a pretty rhythm, while the girl was walking on the smooth sand. Her feet were touching the cold water, making her giggle joyfully.
“I was wondering where you might have been. Didn’t know you would take a walk on the bleach here, Nam.”
A gentle voice of someone rang up softly, making the slim girl flinch a little. But she moved her lips up into a soft smile at that, before rolling her emerald, green eyes at the newcomer.
“It’s me who has to say that. Didn’t you tell me that you had all the viruses handled? Why have you kept me waiting for so long? My college starts tomorrow now, you know?”
“I’m sorry. I’ve been caught up in a huge problem.”
Hearing that, Waree frowned a little.
“What kind of problem?”
“The Cerberus. There were like a hundred of them coming out.”
The reason still could not stop this gorgeous girl from sulking anyway. She managed to walk past Thada instantly, implying that she wanted them to talk as they walked.
“So, what did you do with them?” She asked while she was enjoying the waves touching her feet.
“Well, I eliminated all of them. It was a bit hard, but not too hard for me to handle.”
Thada answered smilingly, before walking up to her side.
“How about you? The last time we talked, you said that you got attacked by a Hydra or something.”
Waree made a disgusted face immediately. She grabbed her clothes, which were a thin fabric dress and a pair of comfortable shorts, for Thada to see.
“Look at my clothes. Now I have to wear my old ones again because that Hydra screwed up the new clothes that I just got.”
“What? Why didn’t you have that Manoch guy repair them for you?” Thada asked.
“Well, I did. But he said that it would take quite a long time. So, I have to grudgingly take these old pieces to wear. I guess that I need to stop hunting those tough monsters for a while since my combat equipment isn’t quite ready like this.”
She said and then smiled cheekily at Thada, making him shake his head out of endearment.
“But I never expected that you would build your guild up this large in just a month that you even form a unit for hunting bosses like this. The number of guild members has passed one hundred now, right?”
“One hundred and twenty-three players.” Waree corrected as she held up her hand to place it on her mouth consideringly.
“Very specific. That’s why you’re a deputy leader.”
“Of course.” She said and winked at him.
The older one just laughed at the cute cheekiness of the girl beside him. They both kept on walking along the beach, while a couple of players were busily running past them. However, those players did not forget to stop and salute her like the soldiers did as well. She could not help but salute back. And she did it in such an adorable way that made Thada crack out a laugh.
“Was that necessary?” He asked.
“I don’t know either. The one who made this rule was Na’s friend named Tunwa. He said it looked cool. Saluting was the symbol of the men’s world or some nonsense like that.”
Hearing that, the attractive GM roared with laughter right away.
“Nemesis seems to be a fun guild.”
“Right. A very fun guild.”
Thada smiled at those words of hers, nodding.
“It has been four game months since that chaotic incident in Dores, right?” The man sighed. “Right now, apart from the four gods’ guild and the Nemesis, the players start complaining that there are many bosses coming all to the wrong place and wrong time.”
“But some players like that, don’t they? They get to hunt many bosses without even wasting time looking for them. How convenient.” Waree said with a giggle.
“Well, they wouldn’t have complained this much, if there wasn’t the Jammer Effect going on.”
After speaking, Thada let out a long sigh, before turning to smile wearily at Waree.
“When you said you had something to talk with me about, this is that thing, right?”
Thada nodded at the question, looking like he had been ready to get to the topic for quite a while now.
“Where is your leader?” Thada asked.
“Probably around here. You have something you need to talk about with him as well?”
“Just a little bit. Could you get him for me, please?”
Waree smiled sweetly at Thada’s words right away. She managed to place her hand on the long-haired man’s shoulder from behind his back, patting the shoulder of the one whom she had respected like her big brother for years.
“Well, yeah, I could get him here for you, Da. But today is his special day. So, please wait for a while and let him finish his things first.”
“Special day?” The older one raised his eyebrows, making Waree giggle at that instantly.
“Yeah, don’t mind him.”

Clank-clank-clank...
The sound of a keyboard getting typed in a fast and steady rhythm was coming from the slim girl who was sitting on a cliff around the beach. The gorgeous one was reading the information that had been input on the guild’s database screen continuously.
Her hand was counting the items that the guild received each day, as well as the hoarded EXP that increased impressively.
“There you are, working here alone, you gorgeous chief of staff.”
Hearing that sudden voice, the slim one flinched a little, before curling up a sweet smile. She knew who the voice belonged to, without even turning back to see.
“Speaking of working, Nuch will be pissed if she finds out that you’re slacking off with me here.”
“Come on. Give me a break. I just fought that freaking octopus and I have to stay there as a foreman to take care of the workers, too?”
“Na, you’ve been grumpy like an old man more and more every day, do you realize that?”
The gorgeous girl said without looking at his face. The way she called his name had changed and it did not make the man surprised at all. That was because it was a long time ago when she stopped calling him by his full name and started calling him by his nickname as they had grown more familiar with each other.
It did not take long before the man sat down next to the chief of staff of the guild. Then he leaned closer to peek at her screen, seeing what she was up to.
“You’re listing the items’ information and calculating the EXP again? You do this often these days, May.”
Maysa smiled slightly at him, but her hands kept on typing on the keyboard without stopping at all.
“It can’t be helped. The war starts in a few months. That’s why I have to keep important things in order before it’s too late.”
“The war is in the next four months,” Wisana said, placing his hand on his lips. “To be exact, it’s almost 9 months in-game time, May. Aren’t you just being too rushed about this?”
“Because a leader like you thinks like this, that’s why I have to do it so soon.”
Getting nagged without her even looking at his face like this, the one who was talking too much paused and frowned unintentionally. He placed his chin on one of his hands out of boredom.
“You’ve been busy with work lately and you don’t play with me anymore. How boring.”
The childish man complained, making the listener chuckle instantly, even though she did not take her eyes off the screen. Moreover, her hands even sped up in typing.
“Well, since the Vincent fever has been trending, the workload has increased as well.”
