Chapter 250: Nemesis Part II

“So, it means that the Jammer Effect’s probably gone now, right?”

The girls looked at each other, before smiling knowingly. After that, Rattana managed to open dozens of her information windows. Those big round eyes were reading through all the data on the screens fast, then she curled up a big smile.

“I got it!” She shouted. “Every virus has now been put into Lord Inferno. So, it means that the Jammer Effect phenomenon has totally disappeared.”

“So, right now,” Waree turned to smile so widely at her.

“Yes. There’s no effect on our brains after we die anymore. The worst case can be just that our levels get the rollback effect to a day or two days ago. And about the system that was askew earlier, it’s been back to 100 percent functioning now.”

After she heard that, Waree curled up a big smile right away. She understood it now. They created the barrier to be a place for the virus to develop, feeding it on every damage point caused inside the area, which was a basic way to develop viruses. After the district seal was destroyed, the viruses that were spreading inside the town gathered back in the egg hidden under the ground, urging it to become the only strongest virus!

“This is good news.” Waree smiled widely. “If there’s not the Jammer Effect anymore, then we don’t have much to lose. And, if we work together, we might...”

Rattana completed her sentence with a smile before she opened another screen up instantly.

“I’m contacting Da,” Rattana said.

“Then I’ll try reaching Angie and asking other players for help.”

Waree told her enthusiastically, while Shin was watching the girls who seemed to be hopeful again. Then he let out a long sigh, before turning to look at Lord Inferno again.

“Shin.”

But it was just a second before Waree tossed something at Shin, making the man pause as he almost dropped that item from his hand. The item looked like a seed of something that had a golden-yellow color with a slight aura glowing all around it.

“This is...?” he asked, raising his eyebrows.

“It’s a Tear of God, the item that restores all your energies fully, as well as dispels every negative effect you’re having back to normal. Earlier you did a Crisis Nova on one of your weapons, right? This item will make your item available to use again, too.”

Not replying with any words, he was only looking at the item with an amazed face. Shin had never seen this golden seed anywhere before. Moreover, its effects were also too good to be true. This was the first time he found out about an item that could repair players’ equipment and restore energies.

“I have to ask for your help, too, Mister Shin. Hope that you’re not a coward like your friend, are you?” Rattana asked smilingly.

“That’s just someone I know.” After speaking, he tossed the seed in his mouth immediately. “Also, how can I leave when the Hunting Gate is not over yet, and the last boss seems to be quite challenging like that.”

Hearing that, Rattana put on a big smile, nodding in satisfaction with the answer from the man in front of her. After that, she looked at Waree once again and saw the brown-haired girl making a tense face as she shook her head slightly.

“I can’t reach Angie yet.” She spoke. Her voice sounded wither.

“It’s alright, Nam.” Rattana placed a hand on the other girl’s shoulder. “I believe that the recent attack couldn’t harm our girl that easily. Trust me, she’s still alive. Maybe she can’t be reached because the signal over there is too confusing. That’s all.”

Waree nodded in understanding at the other one’s words, even though a part of her still felt worried a lot. It was still not sure if Angie was still alive or not. And if she died, did she die safe or not safe from the Jammer Effect...?

“Anne?”

It was only a second later that a voice came from Rattana’s communication device. It was the voice that made the girls curl up a smile of relief right away.

“Da, where are you now? Are you alright?!”

“Calm down, gorgeous. I don’t die that easily, still in one piece here.”

Thada’s voice through the device still sounded delighted and joyful as usual. And that made the girls look at each other, before grinning.

“Where are you now? We’ve got a big problem right now.”

“Yup, Nam, I know that. The explosion was extremely strong. I would probably be deaf-blind if I missed that.”

“Hey, jackass, this is not the time to joke around.” Rattana snapped at him.

“What? How’s that my fault?”

Rattana exhaled out a long sigh, annoyed by someone who seemed to have his fear and excited gland blunted in any situation!

“I did a calculation of the effect from this damn virus already, and it turns out that it’s a virus that developed from the barrier earlier. Also, if we shut down the server to destroy it outside the game, I’m afraid that it will be too late, so I think the best solution is to...”

“Kill it right now, right?”

Thada completed her sentence knowingly, and Rattana did not seem to be surprised by her friend’s words at all. She knew well that Thada was smart, almost too smart even.

“You’re late, Anne. And this is just a fire lizard. What are you so scared of, huh?”

Thada was smiling widely over there. His waist-length long hair was now tied up in a loose ponytail, making him look more earnest. And after seeing that, Rattana clenched her jaws.

“You silly!” She bawled at him loudly.

“Huh? Did I do something wrong again?” The one who got scolded raised his eyebrows.

“Yeah, you did. You started a fight without any plan. I was going to ask you to join us, so we could attack it together at the same time. But you have ruined it!”

“Da!!”

She did not finish yelling when Waree had to call out to warn Thada because Lord Inferno had shaken all the ice lever off it already. And its long tail was going at Thada right now!

“Oh! Later, Anne. I don’t have time to argue with you right now!”

A wind blew past Thada’s nose just a few inches away. Bending his body away a little, he could evade that attack skillfully. A second later, the long-haired man took a chance when the enemy was losing balance from that full-forced attack to leap up on its body, before casting a spell to attack it fast.

Thada did not stop there. He continued to summon massive sharp ice to stab right through the center of Lord Inferno’s body, causing it to scream out with pain!

A moment later, he kicked himself away from the enemy, then flicked his hand down as he proceeded to cast another attack spell continuously!!

An enormous thunderbolt came from the sky, striking right on the ice crystal that pierced through Lord Inferno, getting its painful scream out once more, followed by a lot of damage points. However, the nearly seven figures of the damage points made Thada click his tongue out of dissatisfaction instead.

“Even with this full combo of attack, that was all the damage it got?”

Of course, the two girls who were watching from afar were now gasping as well.

“Thada attacked it with one of his strongest combos, its HP didn’t even reduce by two million points? How is it so tough?” Waree said with a shaking voice.

“See? I told you we needed a plan. Damn it.”

GM Anne started complaining out of frustration, before opening her information window up and starting to run a scan on the enemy in front of her immediately.
