Chapter 247: Strike Back! Part IX

Chapter 247: Strike Back! Part IX

“Hurry up, Shin. Ignite the Crisis Nova now!”

The impatient shouted out as he was racing behind Shin. However, Shin only took a quick glance back for a split second, before keeping on running. He chose not to ignite the explosion, yet.

“What are you waiting for? Do it. They start chasing after us now!”

“Not yet. ...There’re still too few of them gathering in.”

“Are you crazy? If you wait until they all group up, we’ll be the ones who get doomed instead.”

“Not yet.”

Shin repeated the same words. His eyes were staring at the Chimera that had his spear sticking out of its body. Even though the Chimera was running randomly among its pack, Shin could still see which one had his bomb inside it. And that was because of the calmness and very sharp eyesight of him!

“Mister freaking Shin, they’re about to freaking catch us!”

“Stop shouting.”

Shin said calmly as he slowed his steps down a little like he wanted to draw those Chimeras at him, in other words, getting the monsters in one spot.

“Hey, Mister Shin, did your parents teach you to run slowly while you’re being chased?!”

“You’re so damn annoying. Can you just trust me on this?”

The Zero-Celsius man said patiently, before stopping his feet and starting his plan to group the enemies up in one spot. Seeing that, even Tryne made a snorting sound from his throat. He never thought that a quiet person like Shin could be impulsive and fearless from death like this!

It did not take long for Shin to succeed. Every Chimera had got to the same spot to hunt the nearest prey. And this was when a rare smile appeared on the attractive face. Then his feet started moving again as his personal AI spoke.

“Player Shindanai has started the earth element Longinus spear’s destruction. A reminder, after the weapon is destroyed, it will be unavailable for 120 minutes.”

Finally, Shin triggered his time bomb. Then he started running at full speed until he ran past Tryne, who seemed to be slower because he had to carry his massive sword as he ran.

“Hey, Shin, wait for me!”

Tryne said as he caught up with the other.

“I’ll be stupid to do that. The impact from a Crisis Nova is too strong!”

Shin replied, running ahead again.

“Really? How strong? I’ve never blasted a legendary weapon like yours before.”

“Strong enough to kill Ouroboros! Back then, even in the boss dungeon, its impact even knocked me off. But right now, we’re not in a dungeon. So, I have no idea how strong it can get.”

“Sh*t! And you just told me that now?!”

Then the two men started pacing up at their full speed with those Chimeras chasing after them persistently like they did not know that their lives were about to end in the next few seconds.

This moment felt like a slow-motion. While the boys were running as fast as they could, Tryne’s face was creased as he ran for his life. Shin clenched his jaws as he ran the fastest in his life. And those Chimeras were chasing after them with drooling mouths.

BOOM!!!!

12,250,120!!

Finally, the Crisis Nova blew off. Its impact outside the dungeon was brutally strong so it knocked the two forward instantly. Moreover, where the explosion occurred, a large scale of fire was blazing up high, looking like the image of the bomb that the U.S. dropped on Hiroshima city in Japan!

A lot of smoke was spreading all over the area as two figures of men fell flat on the ground with a sharp pain in their bodies that left them speechless.

“Ow, ow, ow, I swear I will never let my boss use his legendary weapon outside dungeons. Damn it.”

Tryne was holding his stomach which was in a small colic pain. Because when he got knocked down, his stomach hit the ground accurately.

“You’re talking too much.”

Shin was not any better. He sat up, while he was holding the back of his head, clenching his teeth like he was trying to endure the pain. After that, he looked in front of him and saw a massive hole there. It was the hole of disaster with many pieces of the remains of those Chimeras scattered around.

Then, this was the moment that the boys looked at each other before Tryne curled up a big knowing smile and burst out laughing. Tryne also held up his palm to Shin before he hit it slightly.

“We did it, Shin. HAHAHA, we totally got them!”

“Yeah, though we got all dusty like this.”

Shin said with a face that almost had a small smile on it, before leaning down wearily.

“You’re impulsive. And that’s awesome. But next time, if we have to pair up in the next fight, let’s not do this again. I almost got a heart attack.”

“Huh.”

The one who got called out for being impulsive did not say anything, because he was too worn out to respond. So, he was just sitting, leaning back defeatedly. ...However, his sense was warning him that something was still behind them. The amethyst-purple eyes widened as he got up immediately.

“Tryne, there’s still more!”

“What?!”

Tryne hurriedly turned back and saw that there really was a Chimera there, and it could come this close without them even realizing.

For Tryne, he was now too worn out to react to anything. And even though Shin tried to bring another Longinus out, his right hand was still unable to move, so he could not summon it out as he liked.

“Sh*t!”

All he could do was accept this and hold up his other hand to cover his face because this Chimera was about to leap in and bite him now!

But at that second, suddenly, there were some heavy footsteps coming from another side fastly. Moreover, that huge incoming thing rushed at the Chimera and bit into it before it could get the chance to attack Shin!

“That thing, ...Hell bound, an A-rank beast, right?”

Tryne spoke up softly, while Shin was widening his eyes confusedly.

This fire monster looked like a bull. Its two horns curled into beautiful circles. Its skin was burned brown. And its eyes were blazing with flames!

And there was no need to say anything, the Hell bound had broken the Chimera’s neck brutally, before yanking the enemy’s throat out as easily as biting meatballs out of the stick!

After that the Hell bound tossed the Chimera’s head on the ground and crushed it with its foot instantly, making the two men narrow their eyes frightenedly at what they were seeing...

“What the hell with that thing, suddenly rushed in like this? ...It’s come to save us?” Tryne said in a shaking voice.

“I don’t know either,” Shin spoke, sounding confused.

“But normally, Hell bound is a beast of Solomon, isn’t it? ...So, it has to belong to someone who’s summoned it to save us.”

Tryne started realizing that. But after Shin heard the word ‘Solomon’, he frowned his eyebrows right away. Because there was only one person that he knew and could possibly be Solomon’s beast summoner.

“Come on now, this is totally not okay, Hell bound. Every time you’re released, you have to be so violent, always. How many times have I told you that don’t act so barbaric like this?”

A few moments after that, there was the voice of a newcomer that rang up so sweetly. Moreover, after hearing that, the Hell bound’s manner had changed from night to day. Right now, it was wiggling its tail that had a flame blazing at the tip quickly as it ran happily past the boys instantly.

YIP!! YIP!!

The Hell bound was making a pleading sound in a way that put the boys in shock.

Meanwhile, the newcomer girl was smiling brightly, stroking the fire monster’s head like she was playing with a puppy or something like that. Anyway, was this really the same monster that just bit a Chimera’s head off in cold blood a while ago?!!

Moreover, how did this woman get here?!

“Waree?” Shin called for her.

“You’re alright, Shin?”

The newcomer asked with a smile on her face. And Shin, who could pull himself together again just now, nodded in reply, before walking to her.

“I am. ...Thanks for saving us just in time.”
