Chapter 237: The Awakened Emperor Part VIII

Chapter 237: The Awakened Emperor Part VIII

“So, all this is your calculation?” Viola asked.

“What?”

“All this giving Vincent’s information to the item hunters. How they fight by attacking from every direction and avoiding the Impulse by hitting from blind spots. And the magic jammer to disable the Element?”

“Yes! We’ve calculated all the plans!

The answer was from Allen who just jumped down to be standing next to Nero. He looked all beaten up, good proof of how intense his fight with Sander was!

“Oh, it’s already over. Allen?” Nero turned and asked.

“Hell no!” Allen replied. “He asked to pause the fight for a while because he wanted to talk about something, god damn.”

The owner of the bloody red eyes cursed. And a second after that, Sander walked back to join them in the same beaten-up condition just like Allen. He placed his hand on Viola’s shoulder softly, before curling up a wide smile right away.

“Seems like you’re having a fun talk here, Viola.” He said, glancing at the screen in front of him. “You’re watching the boy fight those item hunters, huh? What? ...He’s already losing? He’s lying like dead there.”

He turned to speak with Viola with a playful smile like he was not surprised by seeing Wisana getting beaten up like that at all. So, Viola goggled at him intensely.

“You’re not worried about your nephew at all, huh, Ran?” She snapped.

“Just kidding.” Sander smiled widely. “But I know that he would never lose so easily in this kind of fight. So, I’m expecting to see the climax scene from now on.”

He said, then purposely paused. He looked Allen and Nero in the eyes, and a few seconds later, a cunning smile came across his face before he continued...

“I’m waiting for the scene where that boy beats up the enemies’ asses.”

The two listeners were stunned instantly, especially Allen who glanced at the screen and saw Wisana lying still as a sign that he was totally dead. ...And that was all to make Nero burst out a loud laugh right away.

“HAHAHAHA. He’s already down like that, how could you still say such things out loud?” He said and then looked at Viola. “You should put a limit on bragging about your son, miss. It’s obvious that he’s defeated. What are you expecting to happen?”

“This is why you will never win against us.”

She said, then smiled widely at the two, making them pause right away.

“Let me tell you something, you Frazier’s dogs.” Those amber eyes were staring right at the enemies. “Trusting and having faith in our alliance makes our power limitless. And I give all my trust in Vincent, not because he’s my son that I raised on my own.”

She finished speaking, then caught eyes with Sander before they both let out a knowing smile. Then the wind around them started blowing stronger, it had changed direction quickly like it was implying something that was about to awake.

“But I give my trust in him as the Emperor,” Viola spoke, smiling widely. “And thank you for your plan. It’s because of your stupid tests that our emperor’s awakened from the long sleep finally.”

Sander continued before he crossed his arms on his chest.

“From now on, you better be keeping your eyes open, listen carefully to what you’re about to hear, and keep in mind that no matter how hard you try with all your cheating methods, our emperor will not even be bothered. Also, you should know your place, and know which king you should bow your head to!”

“You’ve calculated it all out huh? Don’t make me laugh.” Sander chuckled. “He then and he now are different, you fool. At every second, the man improves himself limitlessly. And that’s the quality the true king has!”

“What?”

The two men spoke up dumbfoundedly. However, they did not say anything more, because suddenly, there was a clapping sound coming from the large screen behind them. They turned around and what they saw got them shocked and gasping right away!

----------------

There was silence all over the Light Ring for a while. It was not because Vincent was lying still on the ground, while those item hunters were stepping on him mockingly, ...but because of a soft clapping sound and the smiling face of someone.

Another Vincent was there in a completely healthy condition. Even though his clothes looked a bit dusty, his face was delightful with a good mood smile. He was not wounded, while he was sitting carefreely on the top of a building, away from every hunter down there. And he was clapping as if they deserved his praises!

“Brilliant. You guys took about 15 minutes to take me down, you know. That’s not bad. I really admire that sincerely.”

Wisana, who was sitting on the top of the building, spoke in a cheerful voice, before resting his chin on his hand as he gave them a soft smile.

“You! How did you get there? And what about...”

Black said confusedly. He was stepping on Vincent right now, and this was a real body, even. So, who was the one sitting at the top of the building exactly?!

“You shouldn’t have made that kind of face. Now it shows that you’re stupid.”

After he finished speaking in a cheerful voice, he crossed his legs relaxedly.

“Let me introduce you to an ability of mine.” He said, then pointed to the black choker around his neck. “This is the Darkness, a legendary item that can use some of my HP to create a perfect illusion limitlessly.”

“Create an illusion?” Every one of the item hunters was gasping confusedly.

“That’s correct. The Darkness will take any amount of my HP to create a perfect illusion that has the same stats as me, but the HP of the illusion will be the same as the HP that I shared to create it.”

“So, you’re saying that you’ve been using this illusion to fight us from the start?!” Black snapped.

“Good question.” Wisana smiled widely. “Since when did I start using this illusion to fight you guys again?”

“You were using it to fight us, so what? We still have the advantage to win over you anyway!”

That was Red who spoke up and looked like he was about to charge Wisana who was sitting on the top of the building, but Black grabbed him by the shoulder first.

“Don’t. We don’t know if this is another illusion to fool us or not.” Black shook his head.

“That’s a smart choice.” Wisana complimented. “Because you can’t be sure if the one that is sitting here is another illusion or not. I don’t mind if you still want to chase me again though. But if you don’t want to waste your time on nothing, I suggest you stand there for a little while.”

After he finished speaking, Wisana finally stood up and jumped down to the ground below. He snapped his fingers once, and the illusion of him that was dead on the ground started fading instantly.

“But like Red said, Vincent.” Black turned to bawl at him. “You can create as many illusions as you want, but you really think that will help you turn the situation around right now, huh, you fool?”

“You’re sure about that?”

The man said in a calm voice, but there was some energy in it that could make the item hunters shiver at the same time.

“Why do you think I’ve been making that illusion running around the barrier...?”

The listeners were stunned, and then they stared at that cunning smile of the one in front of them. And even Black, who was the smartest one, opened his mouth slightly as he made a snorting sound out of his throat.

“Don’t tell me that you’ve been fooling us with that to reduce our energy, and after we get exhausted, you will take that chance to strike us back? If that was all you could come up with, then you’re very stupid, Vincent! Don’t you know that we can’t get tired?!”

“That’s all you can think about? You’re more stupid than I thought.”

Wisana retorted harshly, making the listener pause instantly.

“I’m going to tell you why I made that illusion running around the town. First, I knew that you might have some cheating trick to not get exhausted, so I didn’t expect it would help me drain your energy anyway. What I was expecting from this were you guys’ fighting and movement patterns. So, I spent 15 minutes watching all of you in a battle thoroughly, and in the meantime, I could restore my energy back in full as well.”

After he finished speaking, one of Wisana’s eyes started flashing with another color intimidatingly from beautiful amber to vividly red like blood.

“You’re saying the illusion that was running around was a target for us to attack so you could study our abilities?!”
