Chapter 192: Versus “Ouroboros” Part VII
Chapter 192: Versus “Ouroboros” Part VII
“Magic?” The older brother raised his eyebrows.
“Maybe it was some high-ranked reviving skill from the guardian of light class, right? You always have something to surprise me, Waree.”
A moment later, the gentle voice of Shin just answered everything, making Wisana look at him. And he saw the owner of the cold face nodding to everyone who started standing on their feet again.
“I’m still alive?”
Maysa asked confusedly, before looking down at herself to see if she was still in one piece with 32 organs, or not.
“We got totally attacked by Ouroboros, didn’t we?” Tunwa spoke up, not understanding.
“That’s right, I thought that I was going to die for sure,” Leonard added.
“That was Waree.”
A small voice of Angie spoke up, making everyone look at Waree at the same time. And that was all to make the guardian of light smile sweetly before she caught eyes with her different-aged friend who was smiling slightly back at her in reply.
“How did you do that, Nam?” Maysa said, unable to make sense of it.
“It was just a group reviving magic skill.” The young woman was smiling so sweetly as she answered.
Everyone was surprised. At the moment between life and death, Waree could use the skill in such incredible timing. She had predicted that there would be some unexpected event occurring for sure. And that was why she cast the ultimate spell ready, which was called Angel Pray. It was a high-ranked reviving skill that could restore 100% HP for everyone in the party!
Moreover, she could also revive her friends in a split second right after they were dead on the spot, so they were not sent to the hospital...
Both her prediction and timing in using the spell were totally on an ultimate level!
Maysa thought, then she let out a long sigh, grinning.
“You saved us, Nam. Thank you so much. Otherwise, we would have been lying alongside each other in the hospital by now.”
“It’s my job anyway.” Waree winked at her knowingly. “Oh, I need to tell you guys that I won’t be able to use this group reviving skill again now. It has a long cooldown period of up to 3 hours.”
“Understood.”
“Maysa smiled in understanding, before letting another long sigh. She felt quite relieved that at least the team’s plan had not changed that much. Though they were barely making it work out right now.
Then Maysa glanced at the huge Ouroboros that was now wriggling in trying to get Wisana’s chain off itself senselessly. Its six hands were held still, unable to do anything. Seeing that, Maysa licked her lip, before beckoning to get everyone to her.
“May, we only have 3 minutes. Whatever we need to do, we have to hurry.”
Wisana came to remind her, and the chief of staff nodded in agreement.
“Guys, I’m going to explain the enemy’s strategy and a bit of plan changing.” Maysa started, before looking at Warunya. “Earlier when we were fighting it for a while, Warunya and I tried to analyze its information and we came to this brief conclusion.”
Then Maysa nodded at Warunya as a sign for her to show the Index of the Alchemy book to everyone.
“According to the book, it’s obvious that the enemy has elements in it up to 6 kinds, and each of them runs in different parts of the body.”
Maysa pointed to the arms in the drawing of Ouroboros, one at a time as she explained it quickly.
“Each arm has different element’s abilities. Also, every one of them has strange magic appearing out to support its attack and defense itself so sneakily.”
She pointed at the first arm.
“For example, this arm has the fire element. It increases both physical and magical attack points by double. And from what I see, apart from increasing attack stats, this arm doesn’t have any more special magic abilities.”
Then she pointed to another one.
“And this one is the earth element arm. It adds more armor points for itself, and it has magic self-defense, making every part of its body strong, so our attacks cannot get to it.”
“But Na and Shin cut into it with their weapons, didn’t they? And Shin even made the damage up to 9 million.” Tunwa interrupted confusedly. ...Because he saw with his own eyes that these two used their weapon to slash one of Ouroboros’ arms, making it bounce off. And the last one even stabbed a spear in its chest, making its blood spurt!
“That was because of our armor piercing skills, Tun.” Wisana was the one who answered the question. “One of the magic warrior class’s abilities is to attack through the enemy’s armor points. Also, the sword that I used had the same ability as well.”
“Crusader class players have the ability to attack through the enemy’s armor, too.”
Shin repeated, making Tunwa make a wry face. These guys were obviously a tank! No, in Na’s case, it had to be a bomb dropper jet!
“For this reason, I’ll leave the job of destroying this arm to you, Shin.”
It did not take long before Maysa pulled everyone back to the topic again, making the one who got assigned the job raise his eyebrows.
“Me?”
“Yeah, from everyone in the party, you seemed to be the most suitable one to deal with that earth element arm. Apart from being the most agile one, you can also attack through the armor with the most damage.”
Hearing that, the man with lavender eyes accepted it with a nod.
“Got it.”
Maysa smiled at his answer, before she looked down, pointing at another part of Ouroboros’ drawing.
“And the other arms are the water element arm that supports it by increasing 1% of HP every 30 seconds, and the air element arm that increases movement speed for every part of the body. You guys already saw that earlier, its attack was just moving its arms around, and that was it. That was the ability of the air element.”
She finished speaking and then let out a long sigh.
“These two arms are nothing to worry about. The real problem is the other pair of arms.”
“Why is that, May?” Waree asked.
“They’re kind of cheating. Like this arm, it has a light element, and its abilities are supportive magic skills. This is the answer to why your magical attacks didn’t work on it.”
“...What do you mean by that?” Angie asked.
“It means that as long as the arm’s there, it will activate the Magic Shield skill all the time. So, it will make our magical attacks completely ineffective.”
And that was all to make everyone gasp with the sound like “Huh!” coming out of their throats at the same time.
Especially Angie, she managed to gaze at that cheating monster that seemed to be her personal rival now!
Magic resistance at all times? That’s not funny at all!
“But if we aim for that arm, we’re kind of able to attack it, aren’t we?”
However, it was Wisana who gave his opinion briefly, making his friends look at him.
“What do you mean?” Maysa asked.
“Earlier, I had Nuch tired attacking that arm with a magic arrow, and it hit the target without any problems.”
“Really?” The chief of staff said surprisedly, looking at Nuchjaree who was already smiling at her in response.
“Yeah, I totally shot an Arrow Spark at it.”
Hearing that, Maysa frowned her eyebrows tightly, before opening her information window up in front of her fast. Her slender hand started scrolling down on the screen as she read the text there quickly. Then a delightful smile appeared on her gorgeous face.
“Then, things will get easier now.” Then she chuckled, turning to smile at Nuchjaree and Angie. “Nuch, Angie, and me, we’ll deal with this arm, okay?”
“Me...?” Nuchjaree asked.
