Chapter 174: Training Part I

Chapter 174: Training Part I

The morning light came faster than it was expected.

The new day started quickly like turning a book page. At the same time, the cute little girl who oversaw the chief of staff of the Nemesis guild was sitting on the ground with a thin mat beneath her.

Her tiny hand was scrolling through the information screen inattentively. Those grey eyes of hers were not even looking at the screen at all.

The plumped pink lips were parted a little. If there was a fly around here, it would surely go inside her mouth. And this girl had been spaced out like this almost all the time last night. Even though she was supposed to plan things out and take a good rest...

She still could not force herself to sleep anyway...

Since she overheard the conversation between Tunwa and Nuchjaree.

‘Do you want me to just go straight to Na and say that Orn already has someone she likes?!’

That was all to make her stay up all night. Also, there were more details that got her stressed out, the more she listened to them.

“...Good morning.”

She was thinking this and that for a while before a soft voice of a man greeted her behind her back. The pair of grey eyes followed the sound and saw the black-haired man, the owner of the amethyst-purple eyes walking out from his tent, wearing an unbuttoned shirt, revealing his strong chest.

“Good morning.”

Maysa greeted him back politely. Even though she did not know much about this guy, both Wisana and Waree seemed to like his personality, so she went along and was nice to him as well.

“You wake up early,” Maysa said.

“...Yeah, I wake up around this time every morning.”

Shin replied casually. He also saved his words out of his habit. But Maysa did not mind. She just paid attention to her information window to continue managing her plan.

“You couldn’t sleep?” Shin asked.

“...Something like that,” Maysa answered without looking at him.

Hearing that, the man with the amethyst eyes snorted in his throat, before he opened up his inventory window to bring a coffee machine and a small ceramic cup out.

“...I think I understand why you couldn’t,” Shin said as he started making coffee. “He was screaming that loud last night. I even had to find something to cover my ears before I could force myself to sleep.”

Maysa glanced at the new friend who was looking back at her with an emotionless face.

And after she saw that, she slipped out a laugh, understanding right away what Shin was talking about.

“When was he quiet down anyway?” Shin asked.

“...Uh, around 5 a.m.”

Hearing Maysa’s answer, the young man let out a sigh as he rubbed his temple.

“I guess that was when he’d experienced hell.”

“I guess so, screaming like a pig getting slaughtered like that.”

The pretty girl, who tied her hair in a loose ponytail today, said as she laughed amusedly.

Thinking about the guy Shin was talking about made her amused even more. ...That was right. Last night, they would not be able to sleep if they did not have something to cover their ears. Why? Because of the shrill scream of Wisana that sounded like a pig getting slaughtered.

She thought, then glanced at a mountain range that was covered in snow in the distance.

Last night, that guy’s scream came resoundingly from there with a brattling explosion noise in a way that made Maysa curious about what kind of training Uncle Sander was giving to his beloved disciple. But one thing that she was sure of was that...it would not be something pleasant to look at.

Finally, she slipped out a laugh, turning to look at Shin again.

“Judging from his scream, he should be improving for real. At least his levels would probably be upgraded a lot now.”

“I hope so.

Shin replied casually, before pouring the flesh-made coffee into his mug.

“Do you want some?”

“That’ll be nice. Thanks.”

Then Shin poured the coffee into another mug before handing it to Maysa, who was smiling slightly at him. After that, the two did not say anything more. Maysa wanted to spend her morning checking and planning the strategy to fight Ouroboros to be as accurate as possible. The same with Shin, he managed to sit down before checking the necessary items for the boss hunting quietly.

People who had similar characteristics, they did not need to say much. But both Shin and Maysa knew that the other was the smart type like them. So, they already quietly had respect for each other since they first caught eyes.

“Good morning, May. Good morning, Shin.”

Just one moment passed before it was Waree’s turn to come out as she yawned, but not forgetting to greet her friends cheerfully.

“Good morning.” The two greeted back gently. Then Maysa glanced over to see that Waree was holding a hand of little Angie who looked drowsy as they got out of the tent.

“What’s up, Angie? Good morning.” Maysa smiled as she greeted her.

“M’ing.”

The little kid yawned as she nodded at Maysa in reply. And Waree smiled widely, while she was taking her to join the guild’s chief of staff, who looked very concentrated on the battle plan.

“How’re you doing? Is the plan going alright?” Waree asked.

“Yeah, it’s okay,” Maysa replied, before drinking a big gulp of her coffee. “Last night, I bought the monster’s profile from the Association of Explorers, and it cost me up to three hundred thousand coins. I’d probably get complained about this by Ae for the rest of my life.”

She said, making a sour expression that made Waree laugh.

“You can have Na pay the money back to you later. He’s the one who wants to fight this boss anyway.”

Hearing Waree say that, Maysa let out a grin right away.

“Right, I definitely will.” Then she handed the information for Waree to see. “Look at its stats, Nam. And tell me what you think.”

The girl with the emerald, green eyes stared at the screen in front of her. And at the first second, she paused, before narrowing her eyes at it, then her lips frowned out of indescribable emotion.

“How is it?” Maysa repeated.

“Uh... how should I put this in words? Shocking, I think?”

Waree scratched her cheek.

“But well, Ouroboros is the 14th most difficult monster of the Pride. I think it kind of makes sense for it to have the abilities stats this much.”

It was Shin’s voice that rang out gently, he managed to walk and stand behind the girls’ back without them even realizing it. Right now, he was handing Waree a coffee, not saying anything much. And she just took it smilingly, before paying attention to Ouroboros again.

“I already heard that the boss was savage,” Waree said. “...But to see its information with my own eyes like this, I have to say that... this is gonna be tough.”

Tips from the association

----------------

Ouroboros is a monster of alchemy. Its outstanding ability is that it has every element of magic. Also, it has an enormous body. However, the body is not a certain thing. So, do not rely on it in the fight too much, because Ouroboros is likely to do something unexpectedly all the time. ...And a reminder, it does not have a weakness. If you want to hunt Ouroboros, the party should have at least 50 members with average levels of more than 150.

After the emerald, green eyes finished reading every sentence, then it was another time that Waree let out a long sigh. She looked at Maysa for an opinion, and the one with the role of planning a strategy only shrugged in reply, not knowing what to say either.

“Yeah, this is the monster that your brother wants to challenge.”

“I shouldn’t have read that. It makes me withered somehow.”
