Chapter 157: The New Test Part II

Chapter 157: The New Test Part II

“Mister Sander!” The one who just woke up yelled when he saw the unforgettable man sitting with his knee up carefreely with him here.

“What are you doing here?” The troublesome one asked the master of the magic warrior office in a composed manner. And the other just shrugged, not minding him as he gave Wisana the bid smile like usual.

“Well, didn’t you contact me a couple of days ago?”

“And you traveled all the way from Aeneas for me?!? Wisana asked with a shocked face. Well, could he not be shocked since the distance between Aeneas and here was not a short distance? It was like traveling from the furthermost south to the highest northern part of the map!

“My sense told me that there would be something fun happening to you. So, I decided to come here right away. And my sense’s never wrong you know.”

“In other words, masssster was worried about yooooou.” Suddenly, a drawling voice came to his ear. And when he turned to the voice to see a girl crawling on her knees with a bowl in her hand, he lost it.

“WAAAAAAAAARGH!!!”

“KYAAAAAAAAAAA!!!”

Two loud screams came in unison unexpectedly, almost making the others’ ears numb.

“It’s come out!!” Wisana yelled, before strugglingly clinging to his sister’s back. He did not even care about keeping his cool anymore. He had thrown that away!

“Come on, Na. Why are you scared? That’s Lala. You’ve met her before, right? Don’t be rude. She’s mystically sweet.”

“Mystically sweet? ...Of course, she’s a ghost!” The man bawled as he pointed his finger at Lala the ghost, who maintained all her creepiness like the last time. And definitely, the other just gave him an algid smile, getting him goosebumps right away.

“...W ...why did you scream, too, Lala?!”

“Because you scream first, so I got scared,” Lala answered with a drawling voice as she tilted her head to the side cutely. But for Wisana, that was so creepy in the way that he could not even put it in words.

“But why did you have to come this close to me? To be honest, I got very scared... oops, startled.”

“Well, that was because I was bringing you some food. Everyone has already had dinner, except for you, Mister Wisana, who hasn’t eaten anything.”

“You cooked for me?” Wisana looked inside the bowl in her hand and then saw that it looked like some food like she said.

“I thought that you might be exhausted from using that kind of strength, so I had Lala cook some enriched food for you. Even though it looks weird like that, Lala’s cooking is one of the best, you know.” Sander added, his gestures looking like he was being serious.

“I ...is that so?” But the man could not help but still look unsure about this. The tall man sneaked out of his sister’s back to reach out and grab Lala’s bowl, carefully avoiding her cold hand.

“...T ...thank you so much.”

“Youuuuu’re welcome.” She said before the half-human half-ghost body floated into a shadow and disappeared, leaving Wisana to gulp down uncomfortably.

Damn, seeing this girl got him wide awake instantly, even better than the caffeine in any coffee.

“So, Mister Sander, you just came to me, because you just wanted to have fun here?” Wisana tried to change the subject, and the older one nodded in reply as he sipped after-dinner coffee out of a glazed cup.

“I came here to watch the Hunting Gate, too. But my main reason is meeting you here.” He smiled. “I was curious about how much my disciple had improved. But after I saw you do that; I’d say that I was dumbfoundedly shocked. You’ve improved so much.”

“Hehe, is that so?” Wisana took the compliment with a soft voice, before scooping up this purple soup with some strange aura up and staring at it.

“Th... this’s such a remarkable soup.”

“I’m sure you’ll like it.” Even though Sander was smiling widely as a confirmation, Wisana still helplessly glanced at Waree and Shindanai. And the two just nodded back at him, implying that “Just eat it. It’s not poisoned or anything.” Then the cheeky one smiled nervously, before putting the purple into his mouth.

“Oh, it’s delicious.”

“I told you.” The oldest one in the campfire grinned like he was so proud of his NPC’s cooking skills.

“So, how did you find me? Don’t tell me that you were looking around and just found me by luck.”

“No, I wasn’t doing that.” The man with a kind face shook his head amusedly before he turned his head in another direction.

“What happened was that I ran into a cute girl, and she led me to you.”

“A cute girl? Who was she?”

“It’s me.” Then another voice spoke up, drawing his attention to it. In front of his eyes appeared a nimble figure of a familiar-looking girl in a black coat with the logo of an angel spreading her wing on the chest, the symbol of Nemesis.

She had cute big round grey eyes, matching her bright smile, which indicated that she had a friendly and playful personality. Even though she let her hair down and did not tie it up like usual, Wisana could still recognize the girl accurately.

“May!”

“I heard that you caused a lot of trouble, while I was gone for many days,” Maysa commented with a moody face. Her tiny hands were placed on her waist, looking like she was ready to fight him. But the man did not mind her threatening pose. He put the bowl in his hand away, got up, and launched to his buddy instantly.

“I had Al trace Jinnie’s signal to get here. I’ve upgraded my AI to C level like yours, so it wasn’t that hard to find you, ...Oops!”

“I missed you so much, May!” Not just saying, but he also squeezed her in his arms, too. And then he started spinning happily, making the one who was getting hugged unexpectedly bawl at him in a combo.

“What the heck are you doing, Wisana? Have you gone nuts now? S... stop!”

“HRRR, missing you was like missing my heart. I’m so happy meeting you again, you know?”

“What are you saying?!” Hearing his teasing, she got even more embarrassed. But this cheeky man did not care. He managed to make a withered face, then pointed to his urgent party.

“It’s these guys, they’re too good like the devils. And they fought without even caring to have my back. Especially that sleeping kid.” He said, pointing his chin at Angela. “She’s so small, but she’s the most savage one! The way she blew things up with her magic was very scary. So, seeing your face is so comforting that ...I’m about to cry now, May bae.”

As he finished rambling, this guy acted as if to wipe tears off his face, making the one who was watching from afar like Waree burst out a loud laugh. As well as Maysa who was trying to keep her face straight so hard that her stomach started aching now.

Yeah, why not? Right after he got a chance, the child started telling his parent about getting bullied instantly. The one who had to put on the mum role curled up an amused smile, before caressing the big child here grudgingly.

“There, there, you were having a dreadful day, but your levels were ungraded, weren’t they? That is worth it, right? Good boy, good boy.”

“It’s easy for you to say that. Since I’ve been on the trip, every monster I ran into was very scary.”

“Come on.” Then she stroked the puppy’s head again, and Wisana did not seem to mind her doing that. However, the gunner’s smile faded away very quickly. Her grey eyes narrowed down a little before she started with an uncomfortable face.

“Er... actually, there’s something else that you need to deal with.” Her words sounded uneasy, making the listener confused a bit.

“Yeah?”

“Well... it’s kind of hard to speak and maybe you already forgot about it. But when you blacked out, I’d tried to talk things out for you as much as I could.” Maysa said, scratching her cheek. And when she saw the curiosity in the other’s eyes, she got even more sweating.

“What’s it about?”

“It’s that there’re three more people that really want to see you.”
