Chapter 130: The 7 Curses Part IV

“...W ...what is this? Is it a possessed sword or what?”

The curiosity arose, making him start plotting some nonsense.

SCREECH!!

While his head was spinning out of confusion, suddenly there was a high-pitched scream coming from behind him. It was a Litiem monkey that was laughing, satisfied by seeing this dumb player fighting his weapon in the most hilarious way.

“Huh? Is this damn monkey laughing at me? I’ll kill you!” After getting mocked, he started to get quarrelsome.

Wisana stood up again with another sword drawing out instantly. He launched himself forward, aiming to attack the monkey monster that dared to laugh at him. And the Litiem paused a little at that.

The shiny silver thin blade was pulled out of the sheath quickly, and he raised it up with full force, aiming to slash the enemy to death in one hit.

“I... I’m freezing!!”

He could not do anything, because his body was frozen solid like a rock right on the spot. The cold covering all over him started being concretized now, because Wisana noticed that there was some ice flake freezing on his hands and feet, making the heat from a while ago gone, leaving him only the cold spreading in the area.

“Wha... what kind of screwed up crap is this? W... w... why can’t these swords find the middle ground? This one is freezing meee!!!” He said as his teeth were bumping against each other and when he saw the same monkey rolling on the ground laughing, his nerves got even tighter.

“Na, what’s wrong? Why are you screaming?!”

A moment later, Waree and Angela ran toward him with a concerned look. The older one was not sure if he should be grateful or sad that they were going to see him in this embarrassing situation.

They got closer to him, and his impetuousness earlier was completely gone with the wind. And just like how he was expecting it, the girls were stunned. Waree got speechless when she saw her brother was awfully close to turning into an ice cube with the baboon laughing at him in the back.

“The Litiem did this? That’s weird. I remember it’s an air element monster, isn’t it? How come it has a frozen curse?” The woman asked cautiously, almost making Wisana cry.

“No, it wasn’t the monkey, Nam. The sword in my hand did.”

“Sword?” The green eyes looked at the weapon right away, and she was not surprised by it. But after she counted the longer ones with the other 5, suddenly her gorgeous face turned pale.

Waree could only gasp up and down while pointing at Wisana unbelievably.

“KYAAA!!! Na, are you crazy? Why are you using those kinds of things? I heard that you were crazy and weird, but I never thought that you could be this bad!!”

She yelled after she could process the situation. But her words did not make sense to the older one that much. And Angela, this time that brat threw away her cold look and was now rolling on the ground laughing with the baboon already.

“Wuuuh, what do we do now? Our party has these things carrying around like this.” Waree was still freaking out. Her pretty face got a little bit frowned like she was about to cry.

“BUWHHAHAHAHA!! Unbelievable! Unbelievable!! Y... You’re so awesome. Come on! I haven’t laughed this hard for maybe two years. M... my stomach hurts, HAHAHAHA!! This is the best.”

The little mage said each word out strugglingly because she was shaking from laughing. And she even added to the degree of her amusement by kicking her feet up and down rapidly, too.

Wisana got very confused at her action.

“Wait, hold on. Can anyone tell me what’s going on here?”

“Come on! What are we going to do now? Who would be able to fix this? I think that even Anne wouldn’t, either.”

“HAHAHA!! Ouch, it hurts. I’m dying...”

“Hello, girls, I’m still here, you know. Can you tell me what’s going on?” The confused one tried to bring the girls’ attention back to him. And this time, Waree heard and looked up at him finally. Her tall slender figure walked toward him with an awful look on her face. And... she seemed to purposely keep a distance from him, too.

“Na, where did you get these swords?” She asked.

“Someone sold them to be at the market in Dores earlier. Why?” Wisana answered obediently as he held another hand that was not holding the sword to her, asking for help. “Anyway, can you dispel the frozen curse for me, please?”

“KYAAA!! Don’t come near me. I don’t want to get cursed, too!” Unexpectedly, his pretty sister screamed out in the manner of being extremely terrified. Moreover, she jumped away from her brother for a meter, leaving him gasping in shock.

“N... Nam, you’re disgusted with me?”

“No, it’s not like that,” Waree replied with a shaking voice. “It’s your swords. You don’t have any idea what those things are?”

“No, not really. He just said that they were the 7 stars swords.”

“7 stars swords?” She repeated softly, before rubbing her temples harshly because of her idiotic brother. Seeing her worried expression, Wisana sneakily gulped down.

“Wh... what’s wrong?” He tried probing her.

“You’ve been fooled.”

“Huh?”

“These swords are not 7 stars. They’re actually called 7 curses.”

Silence...

There was no response from the man in front of her. It was like he was trying to force his little brain to function at its full efficiency to process her words.

“Er... may you explain what exactly they are?” Finally, he asked with a whispering voice.

“Promise me that you won’t get mad.”

“Yeah, I promise.”

Waree let out a hard sigh, while she was giving Wisana a weird look. It could be either a sorry feeling for him or a pity.

“The swords you bought are cursed weapons. Anyone who equips them gets cursed, and they will not be able to take them off until the swords get broken by themselves.”

“I... is that so?” The hoarse voice said shakingly. His smooth face started dripping sweat, but he held his breath before asking another question. “And what’s next?”

“Normally, a cursed weapon has only one curse. But these 7 curses, or your 7 stars swords are more special than the others, because they come with 7 kinds of curses, 7 colors, 7 flavors for you to have different tastes of pain.”

“And that’s good news?”

“The worst,” Waree said with a weary face. “From now on, you won’t be able to get rid of those weapons. Your weapon slots are now locked, so you can’t equip other weapons either. And importantly, I’m not sure if the curses can be active on their own without the swords being drawn out from the sheaths or not.” She continued, getting a dry laugh out of the man in front of her.

“...S ...so, it means that,” Wisana spoke up.

“You’re screwed, brother.”

Wisana was withered. His shoulders were sloped down, looking like he was about to faint. But luckily, he still had the ice from the frozen curse to support his balance, preventing him from falling face down on the ground.

Curses, ...huh! It was funny that he was planning to farm the hunter point along the way to challenge that Ouroboros boss just once.

He was even dreaming of challenging that Shin guy to satisfy himself, too

“D...”

The start made Waree raise her eyebrows. She stared confusedly at her brother who was now bending his head down so low that she could not see his face.

“D what, Na?”

“Damn you, you freaking hellish merchant!!!”

“KYAAAAA!!”

The sister screeched loudly out of shock because the man in front of her was trembling. Even though he still had solid ice all over him, his tall figure was scarily wobbling.

The anger made Wisana lose it to the point that he was not worried about the curses at all.

“GRAAZ!!! If I ever see that bastard again, or I’ll trample his *beep*, before cutting his *beep*, then I’ll throw it in the ditch and let the rats bite his *beep* into pieces!!”

“Ew!! This is not my brother. Na’s never been this hardcore before!”

“HAHAHA!! Please, I can’t take this. You’re the most hilarious, Wisana. HAHAHA! Help, I can’t stop laughing.”

“Let me go. I’ll go kill the man, that damn merchant. So, this is why he sold them at ten thousand coins. ARRRGH I’m so furious right now. Let go of my leg. I’ll kill him. Screw the curses. Let me goooo!!!”
