Chapter 111: Instinct Awakening Part IV

Chapter 111: Instinct Awakening Part IV

“Na, Angie! Be careful, it’s not dead, yet!!!”

BOOM!!!

A strong quake came when the massive figure of the werewolf monster suddenly got up. Its huge palm grabbed the girl, before casting her to crash into a big tree around there with full force.

“Nam!” Wisana shouted. The golden-brown eyes widened, not believing what he saw.

Right now, the werewolf boss could stand up in full height to sneer its fangs at them once again, while it was pulling the dozens of light blades out of its body. It did that so calmly like the blades did not cut into its flesh as they were being pulled out.

“Damn it. How could it not die after taking that amount of damage?!” The man frowned, before he turned to check on his sister. And when he saw her lying still on the ground, he then felt the frustration rising up in him.

Crap, the paralyzed debuff!

“Nam, can you dispel the debuff yourself?!”

“Y... yeah. But it’ll take a while.” Waree replied strugglingly, making Wisana tense even more.

This was bad. The main damage like Waree could not move in the situation like this. And holy cow. How much HP the king of Lycan had left exactly?

“Master, try to keep moving. The king of Lycan is targeting you!”

“What?” He could not process what was going on yet when the big werewolf started walking toward him with an immense amount of pressure. It was kind of strange that it did not go to take Waree’s life. Instead, the Lycan boss was coming at the weakest one in the party, ...which was him.

Damn, how could one be repeatedly out of luck like this?! The main damage like Nam was down. And a mage like Angie would not be able to catch up with the enemy’s speedy movements either.

So, it was him who had to do something!

“Angie, back away. Try to guard Nam!”

“Understood.” The girl replied plainly. Unlike him who was now under extreme pressure. Right now, the only thing he could do was just buy some time for Waree to cast a debuff dispel and be normal again!

“Come at me. If it’s about speed. I still insist that you’re slower than me!”

GROWL!!!

The werewolf monster growled out like it was accepting another tag game challenge. And in the blink of an eye, they both disappeared from the girls’ sights, leaving only evidence of attack all around the area, including the sound of branches breaking, and the tumultuous sound of footsteps. Even so, the girls still could not see them at all.

“That guy is using his full speed to fight now.” Angela exclaimed slightly. And how would she cast a support spell, if they were fighting so fast like this?

“The speed of light?” Waree clenched her jaws. “...If he keeps going on like this, he’s going to be the one who is disadvantaged.”

The little girl paused at the words. “Why?”

“That Lycan can’t get exhausted from fighting. Also, it seems to be kind of strange somehow.” The woman said while a soft light was illuminating on her body, showing that she was healing herself.

“You’re right.” Angela agreed. “Every time we got hit, we’d get paralyzed. And its HP shouldn’t be more than four hundred thousand, right? It wasn’t this difficult when we hunted it in the U.S.”

“Yeah, but let’s talk about that later.” She cut her off as she was glancing at the battlefield that was getting more and more violent. “Na won’t be able to endure this speed for so long. When he gets exhausted, the Lycan will take the chance and get him for sure. Until then, please cast some attack spells to support him, too.”

“I got it.” The little mage assured her, tightening her grip on the scepter to be in place. “And what about you?”

“I need some time to dispel the debuff. It’ll take quite a long time. But don’t worry. I can still cast some spells like this. Anyway, you got a rank B seal breaker stone earlier, right?” The question made the little girl raise her eyebrows slightly, before Angela opened her inventory window up to bring a hand-sized blue round stone necklace out.

“This one?”

“Yes. Give it to me. I’ll find a way to help him.” The little mage did as she was told obediently, before she got back to focus on casting a spell. And Waree who just took the blue stone, started muttering something under her breath, too.

CRASH!!!

1,580!

Not long after that, Wisana was seen in the condition of getting pushed back and blown into a line of trees, making him whine in pain as he was holding his stomach.

The king of Lycan followed and approached him instantly, showing that the running around of Wisana did not work on the monster. Because the exhaustion had slowed him down, and eventually he got cast into a tree just like that.

“...Damn.” The man cursed, even though he was still not able to get up right now.

He could not do it. Their levels were too different. And the enemy’s speed was as fast as his, too. It seemed to be too difficult for him.

“Get out of there, Wisana!!” At that second, the monotone voice of Angela came interrupting. So, he used his last strength to jump out of the spot quickly, like he knew what his teammate was up to.

“Lightning War Tech!!”

BOOM!!!!

47,625!

A dazzling silver light struck down, right on the back of the werewolf boss, making it scream out of pain. Wisana still remembered how deadly this spell was, when it could take the mini boss, T-ranra down with just one hit!

And the king of monsters was no different. When it got hit by the thunderbolt, it was sent to count the stars on the ground instantly!

“Is it over?” Wisana asked, still not being able to stand.

“No, not yet. It’s not going to be that easy.” Angela answered. And she was right. Because a moment later, the werewolf monster started to get up on its feet again slowly.

GROWLLLLL!!!

After the scream, it sprinted to Angela out of the blue, making the man flinch. So, he tried to get up, and was about to go help her.

“Don’t come here!” The small voice snapped, making the one who was about to join in the fight pause in no time.

“You’re just going to get in my way. To be honest, you can’t compete with it right now. The monster is way too difficult for you.”

“But...”

“I said no! This is serious. Just learn to analyze the situation. Can you not act like you’re a hero for once? Know your capability!” Her words did not sound sarcastic like before. That was the first time Angela criticized Wisana with a serious tone, making Wisana stop helplessly.

Seeing the other one’s completely withered, the critic from earlier sneakily let out a sigh.

“Is a medium-ranked scepter like this going to endure?” She said to herself, flicking the scepter in her hand once, before letting it float in the air. And in a blink later, there was a dazzling light appearing from it.

“Shining the light to multiply the letters of mantras. Chasing and slashing down the vicious enemy with hundreds of thousands of spells.”

Infinity Spell

After she finished casting, the three-foot-long scepter appeared with a pair of white wings, spreading out from both sides of it. The dark-colored gem on the top was pointing at the werewolf boss steadily.

“Get riddled!” Angela shouted out loudly, before various types of elements dashed from her magic circle, piercing right through the monster fast. The speed and the damage could be compared to a machine gun that could shoot out many bullets rapidly and continuously!

BOOM!!

A thundering sound came in a combo, wave after wave. Even though each shot was low-ranked magic with less damage, with an immense number of them, it was enough to postpone the attack of the Lycan boss for a while.

“Awesome!” Wisana could not help but shout excitedly while he was watching the thrilling fight scene in front of him.

“Don’t disturb her, Na.” Waree scolded the brother slightly. “She needs to focus a lot since she has to cast 5 verses of short spells in a second at the moment.”

“5 verses per second?!”
