Zhao Rong stared at Miss Lili in disbelief. "We only slept for three minutes," he said. "So how do I feel like I've slept for twenty-four hours?"
Miss Lili chuckled and held up the Dream Interference Device. "Brother Zhao Rong, while you were all asleep, I used this to enter your dreams. I followed the instruction manual and pulled you into an ultra-deep sleep, which is why it felt like you slept for much longer."
Realization dawned on Zhao Rong. "So the Dream Interference Device is that incredible… I thought it could only affect a person's dreaming state, but I never imagined it could actually let someone enter another's dream and induce such a deep sleep. It's truly magical."
The assistant added emphatically, "With this device, we won't have to waste so much time sleeping anymore."
Yu Lan was also amazed. "The Dream Interference Device really is a miraculous gadget! With this Divine Artifact, I'll never have to worry about my sleep again!"
Xuelian was even more astonished. "Sister Lili, can I use your Dream Interference Device to enter someone else's dreams?"
Lili nodded. "Of course. As long as you hold this Dream Interference Device and point it at someone sleeping, you can enter their dream. You can talk with them, play with them, and even do..."
Xuelian blushed at the implication and said to Lili, "Sister Lili, you have to lend this to me someday. I want to use it to enter Brother Zhao Rong's dream and fulfill a long-held wish of mine…"
Xuelian dreamed that one day, Zhao Rong would descend on a seven-colored cloud and carry her away in an eight-bearer sedan chair to be his bride.

While everyone was lost in their own little schemes, Zhao Rong brought them back to the task at hand. "Our mission today is to find the Rainy Night Killer's cave in the woods. It's getting late, let's get moving."
With that, Zhao Rong began leading the group toward the small woods behind the school playground.
However, Lili suddenly yawned, looking exhausted. "I just used the Dream Interference Device to enter all of your dreams and help you rest, but now I'm wiped out and need to sleep. One of you needs to enter my dream and help me achieve an ultra-deep sleep. It's the only way I'll be able to keep up without feeling tired."
Hearing this, Zhao Rong assigned the task to Xuelian. "Miss Lili, go rest inside my Magic Ring for a bit. I'll have Xuelian use the Dream Interference Device to enter your dream and put you into an ultra-deep sleep right now."
Lili nodded and entered Zhao Rong's Magic Ring. Since the ring contained a comfortable and secure pocket dimension, it was a safe place to rest. In order to enter Lili's dream, Xuelian followed her into the Magic Ring.
And so, while Lili and Xuelian stayed inside the ring, Zhao Rong, the assistant, and Yu Lan headed for the woods behind the school playground.
However, the moment Xuelian entered Lili's dream, she was horrified by what she saw.
Inside Lili's dreamscape, a figure in a raincoat and mask was wielding a scythe, relentlessly pursuing Lili as she ran for her life, screaming for help.
Suddenly, Lili spotted Xuelian and clung to her in terror. "Xuelian, save me! That person is the Rainy Night Killer! He not only managed to get into my dream, but he's also linked the dream to reality!"
At Lili's words, Xuelian immediately stared at the so-called Rainy Night Killer. When the killer saw that Xuelian had also entered the dream, he stopped in his tracks.
Seeing him pause, Xuelian grabbed a stone from the ground and hurled it at him, imagining it as a bomb. The stone exploded in a powerful blast the moment she threw it, knocking the Rainy Night Killer to the ground.
To Xuelian's astonishment, however, the killer got back up. He resumed swinging his scythe and charged toward Lili.
Seeing this, Lili urged Xuelian, "Xuelian, you have to get out of my dream and get Brother Zhao Rong! He's the only one who can stop the Rainy Night Killer from killing me!"
"But if I leave, what if he kills you?" Xuelian asked anxiously.
Trying to buy time, Lili said, "Don't worry, Xuelian! This is my dream, inside my mind. I'll find a way to deal with him!" As she spoke, she conjured a large iron cage in mid-air and slammed it down over the Rainy Night Killer, trapping him.
When Xuelian saw the killer contained within Lili's conjured cage, she said, "Lili, hold on for a moment! I'm leaving your dream right now to find Brother Zhao Rong. I'll have him come in and capture the Rainy Night Killer alive!"
With that, Xuelian jumped out of Lili's dream and then out of Zhao Rong's Magic Ring.
At this point, Zhao Rong, the assistant, and Yu Lan had already reached the edge of the woods behind the school playground. Just as they were about to enter, Xuelian suddenly leaped out of the Magic Ring.
When Zhao Rong saw her emerge, he immediately asked, "Xuelian, did you already get Lili into an ultra-deep sleep?"
Xuelian shook her head, her expression terrified. "Brother Zhao Rong, you have to come with me into Lili's dream right now!" she exclaimed, holding out the Dream Interference Device.
Zhao Rong was puzzled. "Since you already put Lili into an ultra-deep sleep, why do I need to go into her dream? Is something wrong?"
While operating the device, Xuelian quickly explained, "Brother Zhao Rong, you don't understand! The Rainy Night Killer has somehow gotten into Lili's dream! He's in there right now, chasing her with a scythe!"
Hearing that the Rainy Night Killer was in Lili's dream, Zhao Rong's eyes widened. "What? That's insane!" he exclaimed. "We have to get in there right now and capture that guy! Hurry," he urged Xuelian, "take me into Lili's dream!"
Xuelian nodded. As she manipulated the Dream Interference Device, she asked, "Brother Zhao Rong, are you ready?"
Zhao Rong's gaze was firm. "I'm ready. Take me in."
Before he could finish his sentence, Xuelian activated the device and pulled them both into Lili's dream.
When Zhao Rong arrived, he found himself in a hazy, bewildering landscape of white mist and blurry scenery. He looked at Xuelian standing beside him and asked, "Xuelian, are we inside Lili's dream now?"
Xuelian nodded. "Yes, Brother Zhao Rong. We're in."
Before she could say more, a monstrous beast appeared before them, its massive jaws agape as it charged straight at Zhao Rong.
"Holy moly!" Zhao Rong yelped, startled, quickly drawing the Damo Sword from his Magic Ring. "Where did such a huge beast come from?"
"Don't be surprised, Brother Zhao Rong," Xuelian reminded him. "This is Lili's dream. Anything can happen."
Just as Zhao Rong braced himself to slash the beast with his Damo Sword, it suddenly vanished.
As he breathed a sigh of relief, a massive chasm cracked open in the ground not far away. The fissure widened rapidly, swallowing the ground as it surged toward them.
Reacting instantly, Zhao Rong took a propeller cap from his Magic Ring, slapped it on his head, and grabbed Xuelian. "Propeller Cap, take off!"
As they flew into the air, the massive chasm abruptly disappeared. At that same moment, Zhao Rong spotted a man in a raincoat and mask, wielding a scythe and chasing a woman.
And that woman was Lili.
