Chapter 594 - 586: Father and Daughter Begin the Show of Affection Mode (Part 4)

"Did you bring the card?" Ji Anning asked as she walked and looked down, digging her wallet out from her bag. Seeing the bank cards were all there, she felt a bit more at ease.

Entering, she quickly caught up to Ji Chicheng and headed towards the elevator.

"Mr. Ji."

At the elevator, just as they were about to enter, a familiar female voice suddenly called out to Ji Chicheng from behind.

Ji Anning and Ji Chicheng both stopped in their tracks and turned around.

In Ji Anning’s eyes, a flicker of hostility shot through as she watched the beautiful mixed-race woman approaching them quickly. She frowned in annoyance and thought bitterly, "Could it be his uncle who asked her to come?"

As she pondered, Korea reached them, smiling at Ji Anning and waving without greeting, her gaze quickly shifted to Fenfen in Ji Chicheng’s arms.

"Fenfen."

"Auntie."

Fenfen, seeing Korea, happily waved her little hand.

By then, Ji Chicheng had already stepped into the elevator, and Korea hastened her pace to follow Ji Chicheng inside.

Ji Anning, noticing her move, didn’t think twice but took a big step and squeezed in front of Korea into the elevator, standing close to Ji Chicheng with her hands clasped and her body upright.

Korea followed into the elevator and stood on the other side of Ji Chicheng, her attention all on Fenfen, as she smiled and pinched Fenfen’s little cheek, "I’ve missed you so much, haven’t seen you in days, Auntie missed you."

Fenfen politely pursed her lips, "Missed Auntie."

Ji Anning slightly frowned and glared at the little girl, internally criticizing her for having no principles, being deceitful and thoughtless.

She played so happily at home every day and never mentioned this auntie, missed what, she didn’t believe it at all.

"Very good." Korea gently stroked Fenfen’s head and glanced slightly up at Ji Chicheng, asking, "Are you guys here to dine as well?"

After asking, she glanced at Ji Anning.

Nonsense, this is a restaurant, we come here if not to eat, are we supposed to visit the place?

Wait, no, she’s the current one, how can she complain about her so self-righteously?

Ji Anning, realizing her folly a bit late, felt somewhat embarrassed and quickly corrected her former attitude, smiling slightly at Korea, "Yes, I’m treating. Miss Korea, would you care to join us?"

Korea smiled somewhat awkwardly, "My mother came to N city to see me. I brought her out to dine."

What? So she wasn’t called by his uncle? She wasn’t tagging along to dine with them?

In Ji Anning’s mind, it felt as if a heavy stone had been lifted, smoothing everything out.

"But it’s just my mother and me, we can dine together."

Korea suddenly added.

Ji Anning: "..."

She really wanted to cut off her own tongue, as she originally thought Korea was invited by Ji Chicheng.

Thinking after all they were going to eat together, this would make her appear magnanimous.

Now, having spoken those words was like spilling water that couldn’t be taken back, if she now said it wasn’t okay, she would be contradicting herself, so she had to continue to feign jubilance, pretending to be gracious.

She really needed to teach her mouth a lesson when she got back, it was just too annoying.

"My mother and I are in private room three, tell me which room you’re in, and we’ll come to you later."

The elevator reached the restaurant floor, and Korea asked Ji Anning for their room number.
