Hearing the three words "Ji Anning," Ji Chicheng’s fingers hit the brakes in time, and excitedly brought the phone back to his ear, "You’re in J city?"

He suddenly remembered, Qi Helian had sent him a message yesterday saying he was in J city and would be coming to N city in a couple of days.

Now Qi Helian gloated, "Not scolding me anymore? Not angry?"

Ji Chicheng’s brows twitched slightly, and he pressed his thumb to his forehead, his emotions so agitated that he was now struggling to keep up, "Speak!"

While he was dying of anxiety on this end, Qi Helian was still teasing on the other end, "She’s staying at the same hotel as me, so if you yell at me, I’ll go and take advantage of her tonight."

"Keep an eye on them for me," Ji Chicheng said, disregarding Qi Helian’s teasing. He then suddenly remembered something else, "Right, also pay attention to their movements, see if anyone is following them."

The matter with the plane ticket was definitely not Ji Anning’s doing, it must have been Charles trying to mislead him.

He recalled the photograph on Charles’ bedside table, his eyes narrowing in suspicion.

Why would there be a photograph of his mother on the bedside table in his home, his room?

An event early in the morning, not far from the hotel.

Ji Anning got up early, not wanting to wake Fenfen, she asked her assistant to take out the clothes and got ready in the outside bathroom.

Fashion had prepared stylists and makeup artists for them, she applied light makeup on herself.

Ji Anning had just picked up her bag, about to tell her assistant to keep an eye on Fenfen, when the little girl suddenly ran out of the room barefoot, stopping at the door and rubbing her eyes with her little hands.

She had intended to leave secretly and quietly, not able to bear parting, not having the heart. She did not expect to still be discovered by her.

"Mommy is going to work, you stay with sister," Ji Anning squatted in front of Fenfen, coaxing her with a slight smile. As she spoke, she looked at her watch and then said, "At twelve o’clock, Mommy will be back, okay?"

The little girl, learning that Ji Anning was going out, pouted and shook her head, "No, want Mommy."

Her soft voice made Ji Anning truly reluctant to leave.

She picked up Fenfen, sat down on the couch.

The doorbell suddenly rang, the assistant went to open the door, "Mr. Qi."

Qi Helian, dressed in a silver-blue suit and a white shirt, stood tall and straight at the doorway.

He nodded to the assistant who greeted him, then his gaze shifted into the room, upon seeing Ji Anning on the couch, he stepped inside, "Anning."

Ji Anning looked up and smiled, "You’re early, Mr. Qi."

"The event is early," Qi Helian said with a lazy stride, stopping in front of Ji Anning. He looked down at the little one in her arms, the child’s large, curious eyes fixed on him.

A trace of affection rose in the corner of his mouth as he bent over and reached out, his long fingers gently poking at the little girl’s chubby cheeks, "Baby, come, let Daddy hold you."

As he spoke, he clapped his hands and opened his arms to the little girl.

"No," Fenfen pouted and hid in Ji Anning’s embrace.

Qi Helian frowned discontentedly, "Why? Am I not handsome enough?"
