Chapter 594: Star Cities.

The battles with the demon army came to an end very quickly once Hao Ren took action in person. Then the team regrouped, they all gathered to discuss how they should prevent the situation like this from ever happening again. Ye Jian said, "They have their own arrays, and those things are rather scary."

Hao Ren nodded and asked, "What do you all think we should do?"

The people looked at each other before Ye Lan said, "We can set up an advanced monitoring station in all the directions and have them connected with each other. So as soon as the Demon Army is coming over to attack, we will handle them."

Hao Ren sighed and replied, "It is plausible but not going to yield a great deal of results to us. The demon army is unconventional, they have their own array system and they could go toe to toe with us, so we need to handle things rather sternly. It is not something that we can take lightly. The attacks this time were made in a wave pattern. They were kiting, I am sure you all can realize that. While I confronted them, I realized that the army was rather unified and disciplined.

They are no longer the scraps that we picked in the past. I am sure that they know about us occupying the information of the truth. It is evident from out attack and recapturing missions. This is why they are rather desperate. Also, I have another clue about the issue."

The people looked at Hao Ren and the young man waved his left hand, a hologram appeared on the table before them all. Hao Ren sighed and said, "Old Peng, pass me one of your cigarettes, and you lot better not tell Lingshi about it. I am frustrated right now."

Peng took out a cigarette that was made from spiritual herbs and had a rather calming effect on the user. The young man lit one up and took a puff before he sighed and exhaled the smoke before saying, "The formation where the hidden prison is located has a network of boulders scattered around. If you look at it from the side, it looks like a random arrangement. However, if you look at it from the sky, you will find that it is basically a star chart."

The hologram changed and Ye Yue remarked calmly, "The twelve star constellations."

Hao Ren nodded and said, "What is the biggest constellation among these?"

Ye Yue replied to him, "Sagittarius, it has twelve stars."

Hao Ren hummed and said, "We have to hold down twelve cities to keep this guy imprisoned. So, I was thinking, what if we have create the cities according to these arrays and have them increase the power of the laws that are binding that Archdemon?"

The people were surprised but then they nodded, and Ye Yue said, "From the naked eye of the cultivator their are many stars and the exact numbers cannot be tallied, however, I have a suggestion to make."

Hao Ren nodded and Ye Yue continued, she used her own communicator to project a hologram and said, "The twelve cities that we have serve as the main cities. We call them star cities, and so I propose that we create a network of cities around the Star Cities. This way, we would be able to increase our power and also see if this conjecture of the star energy being extracted through various cities is possible to reinforce the restrictions on the Archdemon."

The young man thought for a bit and nodded, as he said, "I agree to this, but the construction cannot be done with the traditional methods used here. I want to equip the cities with high level ammunition, Spirit cannons, Demon Suppression ammunition, and then I want you to do one more thing, teleportation network. Not from city to city but also around it, if these demons use some means to block our path, we just rush through and handle it. I don’t believe they can take down the entire area."

The people nodded and just then, Ye Jian said, "Young Master, we will need a lot of resources."

Hao Ren nodded, and the people fell silent, because it was true, while they were planning to save the world they were broke as fuck. The rules of this world were making things difficult for them. To create one city they needed one Commander, but if they want to make a network of cities then it would need a lot of commanders and that meant fighting Demon Commanders. This didn’t seem to be very feasible.

Xiao Mei spoke up, "Actually, there is a solution."

Everyone turned to look at her, and the robot cleared her throat before she said, "Well, if you only want to establish small outposts, let’s say with a thousand people, you need a Heavenly General to pledge loyalty to you and swear a blood oath to serve for your purpose. This procedure is noted very neatly in one of the records I found from the North Star city, and I also found out that some factions found this practice a bit too harsha and so they abolished it."

Ye Jian clicked his tongue and replied, "These dimwits, this procedure was often carried out by them to confirm loyalty and unity. The net would be impenetrable if they followed this ritual."

Hao Ren nodded, he was of the same opinion, and thinking about it he said, "This is feasible, but who will volunteer to take such a harsh oath?"

The people fell silent and Xiao Mei said, "We can actually tweak with this oath a little and make it more accessible and easy for the volunteers but it will ensure loyalty and unity among the people."

They realized that it was just the matter of how the words were spoken. Thinking about this, the young man nodded and said, "Xiao Mei, you will prepare a oath, and the rest of you, try to find volunteers, if you want people, I can go back home and bring along the people who have just stepped into the Heavenly Realm. I am sure that they all would like to follow and learn from you."

The people agreed and Hao Ren said once more, "This thing cannot be achieved in a day, so we have to be cautious while planning ahead to face what lay ahead of us. So, while we treat forward, be watchful of what we hold and what is coming for us."

The Ye Generals all stood up one by one and bowed to Hao Ren, "Yes, Young Master!"

They all spoke in unison and Hao Ren then waved his hand to dismiss the meeting. Before he told everyone that Yanling and Xuanshen could now speak and then he showed them all the videos and the pictures they had clicked the night before. The contrast in the persona was too much for the normal people to endure, but the Ye generals have been with Hao Ren since their childhood, this was why they all were used to this, but sometimes even Xiao Mei would think to herself, ’Human brain is so unpredictable.’

She could never tell what Hao Ren was going to do next.

The meeting came to and end and the people began to prepare for the future. Xiao Mei wrote down the plans they needed to create a network of the cities, she even began to scout for the locations using the satellite she had deployed in the void. While the Ye Generals all began to move and ask their disciples who was willing to take the oath and follow the path.

Although they were surprised, they were also gratified, these disciples were akin to their children, they have trained them, they have made them what they were today, and after all the pain and trouble they have gone through, all of them made them proud.

Hao Ren spent some time helping Hao Mei hunt demons, and then grow quickly. He covered for her, and never acted before protecting her. After taking a few days, Hao Mei broke through to Heavenly Soldier level and then she went out alone. The Ice Rapier in her hand shone once again and the demons who fled spread the tale of a human witch who killed their comrades with a needle.

Hao Mei had no idea that she was now the infamous Needle witch of the Human race. When Hao Ren found out about it during one of his patrols, he was shocked before he killed the demons by laughing loudly and mixing the Demon Suppressing Roar skills.

When he came back to the Floating Island, he was laughing so hard that Han Lingshi could not help but ask him what had happen, and when Hao Ren told her the truth, Han Lingshi was shocked and then she sighed because she knew that Hao Ren was going to tease Hao Mei and it was going to be a full on debacle.
