Chapter 592: Obstacles.

Hao Ren and Han Lingshi could not believe that the twins have just spoken and they spoke the first words just when they happen to come back to look for Hao Mei. The young man looked at the maid who was tending to Yanling and took out a bag of spirit stones from his space ring and said, "Aunt Cui, thank you for looking after Yanling all this time. This is a vain method to express my gratitude to you. Along with this, you can also select a suitable Natural Heavenly treasure to consume and aid your cultivation."

Aunt Cui was shocked, and on the other side, Han Lingshi also took out the bag of spirit stones and handed them to the maid who had been tending to Xuanshen, along with the same perk as Aunt Cui.

Then Hao Ren looked at Yanling with a doting smile and asked gently, "Xiaobao, call me Baba one more time."

Yanling smiled widely and said, "Baba!"

This time the diction was perfect and Hao Ren chuckled and laughed as if he had tasted the nectar of life. Han Lingshi was the same, then the young lady looked at Yanling and asked gently, "Xiaobao, call me Mama."

Yanling called Han Lingshi, "Mama."

Han Lingshi didn’t know that at this moment her smile bloomed like a flower that put the entire world to shame. Hao ren played with Xuanshen as well, before the two headed over to the Eastern Courtyard where Tang Zhen and Hao Xinyuan were living with Yin, Yang, Agnee, Hiro and Jiro to look after the old couple. Well, more like the old couple was keeping an eye on the young ones.

As Hao Ren and Han Lingshi entered the courtyard while laughing wide, the residents were surprised, and Tang Zhen who was sitting in the garden asked, "Brat why are you laughing like a crazy person? Are you alright?"

Hao Ren chuckled and said, "Yanling, my sweet sweet darling, tell them who am I?"

Yanling hugged him tightly and spoke softly, "Baba."

Boom!

The people froze, and Han Lingshi also didn’t miss out the opportunity to flex and said, "Dabao, tell them, who am I?"

Xuanshen replied with a smile, "Mama."

Boom!

The second bomb had been dropped and Tang Zhen smiled with a gratified expression before she looked at the twins and said, "Dabao, Xiaobao, you two stay with grandma all day long but you only call out to Mama and Baba, you naughty babies."

The two children had not yet mastered the art of language, but they could still say a few things, so Yan Ling replied quickly, "Grandma, we were keeping it a secret."

The people were shocked even more. Hao Ren asked after getting a gist, "My darling, did you and your brother didn’t speak because you wanted to wait for us?"

Yanling smiled and nodded and said, "Yanling missed Baba."

Hao Ren almost melted, he hugged the little girl in his arms as if he was holding a treasure and then he sighed, thinking how he had been away and only thinking about getting stronger, yet here they were facing the affection of two children who were thinking about nothing else but their return. What made the guilt even worse was that despite having the ability to speak, the children had been deliberately holding back, just so that the first things they say makes their parents happy?

Hao Ren pecked Yanling’s cheek and said, "This time, Baba will take you..."

Before he could complete his words, Tang Zhen knocked the end of her cane on the ground and said, "Hao Ren, if you dared to take my grandchildren to that godforsaken place, I will beat the shit out of you, regardless of how strong you might have become."

The young man looked at Han Linghi, thinking that his wife would want to bring the children along but to his surprise the young lady had no objection. She even looked at Hao Ren and said, "Ren, with the secrets that you have uncovered, is it really safe to bring them along? That place is not just to fight, but to guard the border of humanity. So, we cannot let those guys take any chance of exploiting any chinks in our armor."

Hao Ren sighed and said, "Fine, I will follow your decision."

Then he looked at Yanling, who was snuggling on his shoulder and said, "Dabao, come over. Baba will take you to play."

Dabao became excited, the children didn’t show any repulsion towards the different element of energies that were emitted by Hao Ren and Han Lingshi, anymore. Although the couple had always restrained themselves to the level where they almost came across as a mortal, the children had been sensitive towards the innate aura they both had.

Han Lingshi knew that now, knowing that he cannot bring the children along with him. Hao Ren just wanted to spend more time with them. She knew that she had a bigger responsibility now. She turned to look at Tang Zhen and asked, "Ma, where is Big Sis?"

Tang Zhen sighed and said, "That kid has gone rebel, she is doubting her potential and is currently in seclusion. She told me that she would not come out until she has reached the Heavenly Soldier realm or die trying."

Han Xinyuan rolled his eyes and said, "Your Ma is just sounding too dramatic, Mei had gone into seclusion and she is very focused on achieving the heavenly realm to stand beside you two to fight the demons. However, recently she had stumbled upon a bottleneck, so she has not come out of seclusion."

Han Lingshi sighed and said, "I will go and meet her."

Then she greeted the kids before leaving the garden. As she left Yin said, "Grandma, is it just me or does Baba and Ma seemed to have grown a lot stronger than before?"

Tang Zhen shook her head and said, "You are right, I could not sense them on my spiritual sense even though they were standing right before my eyes. It was as if they have become one with the nature?"

Hao Xinyuan scratched his chin and said, "That is indeed possible. I am sure that they have reached a higher level of cultivation but just now when Zhen stopped Hao Ren from taking the kids to the Eternal Battlefield, I sensed a rage flicker in his eyes, it was just momentary but it was there. I am not sure why it happened, but it gave me a minute sense of dread. I am sure they have been facing something really crazy out there."

The people nodded in agreement. Agnee opened her eyes, she had been sitting in meditation the whole time and she said, "Baba has a strong scent of killing intent on him. It caused my heart to shiver. I have no idea what he has been through but this feeling is not good."

Hao Ren had no idea that the family was discussing the secret of his killing intent and thinking that he had gone through some tragedy and was not in a good mental space. Hao Ren was currently flying kites with his two children and he was truly happy, from the bottom of his heart, but he knew that none would get it all. Some can’t grab the earth and some can’t rise to the skies, and so, he was mentally resetting himself after that outburst was from a burst of killing intention that surfaced rather suddenly.

The young man thought about the situation and he knew that after getting back to the Eternal Battlefield he would need to pay attention to his cultivation and find a way to tame this wild energy inside him. Killing people was not easy, everytime you slaughter, some part of you would be affected. This was the situation with Hao Ren at the moment. The young man sought a path that would lead him to the peak of the Dao Path, and achieve something even better, like ascending the mortal realm.

However, things were not going to be easy, and he would have to work hard.

While Hao Ren was flying kites and playing with the twins, Han Lingshi had arrived at the courtyard where Hao Mei resided and she entered with a token of hers. Inside the courtyard she found Hao Mei practicing her sword moves in the center of the courtyard. Her brows were pinched together, as if she was really thinking too hard. It was visible in her moves, and the hesitation that followed.

Han Lingshi didn’t rush to speak up, Hao Mei had also sensed her existence but she didn’t say anything. Han Lingshi had revealed herself. After finishing the routine, Hao Mei asked, "Lingshi, what brings you here?"

Han Lingshi took out a bottle which was akin to a jade bottle but it emitted a really strong cold, and Hao Mei asked, "What is this?"

Han Lingshi smiled and said, "This is Snow Sword Grass. This thing is so sharp and cold that it can even cause the void to freeze and shatter. I am sure that it can help you overcome the current obstacle."

Hao Mei was not too polite with her sister-in-law and asked, "That brat sent you to bribe me, right?"

Han Lingshi smiled and said, "Well, something like that."
