Chapter 577 577: Dao Of Slaughter. (EDITING)

Hao Ren noticed that the situation of his model was not very good. The young man took a deep breath and mumbled, "This situation is rather critical, I have to be careful about how I approach the further issues."

*Yo, finally getting a taste of what it feels like to have your emotions drowning into madness?*

Hao Ren shook his head while he gazed at the corpse of the man standing in the square and replied, "It was not madness. It was the void of emotions in my heart just now. I had no idea this kind of condition would be so taxing on my mind."

*This is a double edge sword, you need to train your mind and at the same time you need to comprehend the deeper truth behind this path of Dao. Things would not be easy but they are necessary.*

Hao Ren hummed and asked, "Tell me one more time, why do I need to condense the three saint halos?"

*You need to make a name for yourself, and become the strongest husband that exists under the heavens.*

Hao Ren nodded before he replied, "Who asked me to become this strongest husband?"

*None, but it was just your situation that required for you to have such a motivation.*

Hao Ren nodded and replied, "No, it is not a motivation, but it is kind of an arrow that you have shoved up my ass. Also, wasn't it you who told me to condense a slaughter dao halo."

*I don't want to discuss this with you. Fucking go back to being the bitch you were before this, an emotionless puppet. Stop crying like a dumped woman.*

Hao Ren sensed a twitch on the corner of his lips. He sighed and then sent out a wave of flame cloud. He burned all the corpses to ashes, and then he waved his hands, the ashes of the human soldiers all gathered together and appeared in the center where the man with the tattered armor stood beside the big epee. Hao Ren created a pit and the ashes all gradually deposited inside the pit. Then Hao Ren waved for the corpse to move and it finally was laid to rest in the pit.

Then Hao Ren covered the pit and erected a tombstone. Finally his gaze fell on the epee that stood in the center of the square. The blade was stabbed in the ground as if the warrior who used it was making his last stand to defy fate. Hao Ren walked over and stood there next to the sword, he took a deep breath and sensed a dreadful aura radiating from the sword and Hao Ren noticed a character engraved on the blade, just above the crossguard, "Eternal Justice."

Hao Ren said, "Your master is gone, yet you crave for the blood of demons? How big is your thirst that will not be quenched even when your master has drowned in his own blood."

The sword craved, and Hao Ren asked, "What more do you want?"

The sword vibrated at a high frequency before it flung out of the ground and attacked Hao Ren, the young man slapped the sword with the back of his hand and caused it to fly some distance away before it fell on the ground. The sword tried to stand up again, and Hao Ren ignited the Nirvana Phoenix flames at the tip of his index finger. He looked at the sword on the ground and said, "If you want me to metl you into a puddle of sludge, try attacking me once more."

The sword trembled, but it didn't get up in the void. The young man took a deep breath and replied, "Is it the blood of demons that is causing you to lose your sanity?"

He waved his hand and the sword whooshed up in the void before he caught it once again. The weapon tried to get away from him, but Hao Ren didn't give it a chance. He simple channeled the flames through the blade. However, his control on the flames was so perfect that the strong yang nature of these flames cleansed the demonic energy that contaminated the blade but didn't harm the construct of the weapon.

The demonic energy washed away from the blade and the next moment, the blade calmed down, it was not trembling anymore. However, Hao Ren sensed that its spirit seemed to be waning. He sighed, this was normal for the sword spirit, after all, the reason it came to this world was the intent of the master who wielded it. Now without the master, it didn't see any purpose to exist and as a being of spirit it would gradually vanish.

Hao Ren looked at the blade and said, "Your master gave up his life to protect this city so there must be something special here. Why don't you try and protect this place till you break as well? Would that not be the continuance of your master's will?"

The sword vibrated gently, Hao Ren walked over to the center of the square and said, "When I advance to the Heavenly Commander realm and have to pick up a city, I will take this ruin and bring it back to life. Till then, can you stand here and guard the resting place of your master and his brothers?"

The sword vibrated as if expressing its agreement and Hao Ren stabbed it in the ground. Then he waved his finger around and created a protective circle around the city. This was the simple yet strongest defence and isolation array from the rest of the world. Hao Ren didn't want any of the demons to come over and take this place as a base. He was not lying when he said that he would set up a city here after he ascended.

He looked at the sword and said, "This is settled. I will come back soon."

Then leaving the ruined city he continued on his journey to find a cluster of demons. After a few days, his wish was granted and he spotted a small contingent of Demons, they all were moving faster than the normal demons. The young man realized these guys were the scouts, so he took out a hammer from his space ring and dashed over. Yes, he didn't fly or used his movement technique, because he was on a true essence deficit.

His plan was simple, and that was to fight these guys head on. The demons also spotted him and they charged over, thinking this one human was easy meat. However, as soon as they reached close to him, Hao Ren displayed his full speed, and his hammer descended among the crowd of demons.

The impact of his first move which connected directly to the chest of the demon laying before him, sent the latter flying as a bloody hole appeared in his chest. Then the slaughter continued, Hao Ren was not channeling any rage in his attacks, he was moving with a shallow indifference. His mind was still occupied with the thoughts of defending himself. It was still not yet in the zone where he could comprehend what the sensation of slaughter was like, from time to time, there would be the red halo condensing behind him.

However, just when he thought he was about to scratch something, the demons to kill had already died. The young man sighed and mumbled, "Can I please come upon a whole army of these things?"

The system replied, *Be careful of what you wish for.*

Hao Ren didn't mind, he just kept traveling in search of Demons to kill, and after five more encounters with the scouts, he located an army cap. This place was different from the rest of the demon gatherings. Hao Ren noticed soldiers, they were armed with sharp weapons and they all had strong armors on their bodies. The young man took a deep breath and gave his hammers a few swings before he flung it hard. The speed of the hammer soared and it created sonic booms in the void, and landed on the ground right in the midst of the demon soldiers.

Many were killed and some roared in agitation. They could dress up nice, but they could never hide their inner nature. Hao Ren reached out to grab the hammer and the weapon soared back to him. The demons tracked it and the soldiers yelled, "Human! How dare you challenge us!"

That said, the demons broke ranks and they charged at Hao Ren. However, they moved in neat formations, and the young man licked his lips before he said, "It must have taken them a lot of training to reach this level of sync."

His fighting intent was sparking an with that, he placed the hammer back in the space ring and pulled out a couple of brawling gloves. The moment of confrontation arrived and the demons stood right before him, and Hao Ren yelled, "Come, you punks!"

The battle began.
