Chapter 1508 810: Hank's Breakdown

Chapter 1508 810: Hank's Breakdown

A few hours later, Jimmy finally saw Walter's car leaving the laundry factory gate. However, he didn't start his own car; instead, he continued to record the subsequent vehicles and pedestrians entering and leaving the laundry factory gate. Of course, taking photographs for documentation was indispensable.

Walter left the laundry factory at about the same time as yesterday. If he was just doing it to mislead others, he should still return to the car wash. Jimmy had already captured the times he entered and exited the laundry factory. Now, the key was to find other clues that could allow him to legally enter the laundry factory to discover the underground laboratory.

After monitoring for an entire day, it was finally quitting time for the laundry factory. Jimmy waited until most of the lights in the laundry factory were off before he left and returned to the hotel to rest.

The next day, he returned to the office. Miguel had arrived early, already informed about the goings-on. Jimmy tossed the camera directly to him, bringing up all the photos taken yesterday. The vehicle and personnel information needed his investigation.

Miguel was stunned by the number of photos in the camera's memory, "So many? It's impossible to handle in a short period of time."

Jimmy: "How many people do you need to help? Get these photos done today."

Miguel copied the photos to the computer, "I don't know, the more people the better."

Jimmy: "No, I need to keep it confidential... How about this, I'll call two more people over."

The two unlucky guys, who had just been tasked with investigating the chicken restaurant yesterday, received Jimmy's call and also returned to the office. Jimmy locked them in the conference room to start identifying photos, and had others order lunch takeaway for them. They just had to work overtime like this.

At Hank's house, the therapist had finished the training and was packing up to leave. Jimmy rang the doorbell. Mary, holding Walter's little daughter Holly, answered, "Hi, Jimmy."

Jimmy asked in surprise, "Hi, Mary, why is little Holly here? Hi, little one." Jimmy reached out and gently poked Holly's cheek, then looked at the therapist who had come to the door and asked, "How's Hank?"

The Black therapist smiled and said, "Quite well, Hank has been working hard. If nothing unexpected happens, his recovery should be shorter than anticipated. I need to head back now, goodbye."

Jimmy stepped aside to let the therapist leave first. He nodded to Mary and headed straight to Hank's bedroom.

Hank had just finished physical therapy and was resting on the bed. Given the sweat on his face, it was undoubtedly very painful and exhausting therapy, "Hey, Jimmy, what brings you here today? Did you find any leads?"

Jimmy: "Just came to check. The therapist just mentioned that your recovery is better than expected; you might recover early."

Hank: "That's great, I've had enough of these days. Tell me some good news, I know you wouldn't do something meaningless."

Jimmy pulled up a chair and sat by Hank's bed, "Alright, I do have some still unconfirmed matters that I need to discuss with you. Do you remember when the blue meth first appeared on the market?"

Hank: "Of course, a year ago, it started appearing sporadically on the market, only a very few people had such stuff."

Jimmy: "So, the cook you targeted back then was Heisenberg, wasn't it? Where did that name come from?"

Hank: "Street gang members, and we used him to catch that fake Heisenberg. Why are you asking this?"

Jimmy: "I went through all your reports from last year about blue meth, and I found a coincidence in the timeline, and maybe something that might be quite uncomfortable."

Hank's expression changed, "What?"

Jimmy glanced towards the living room; Mary was holding Holly on the sofa, and there was no one else around. Only then did he take out a sheet of stationery from his briefcase, "I think you should remember when Walter found out he had lung cancer, right? Look at these dates."

Hank stared incredulously at Jimmy, reached out to take the sheet and glanced at it, then immediately looked back at Jimmy, about to speak. Jimmy raised his hand to stop him, "Don't say anything, just read first, then listen to what I have to say."

Jimmy organized his thoughts and began to speak, "The blue meth started appearing after Walter was diagnosed with cancer. At first, only small amounts were present in the market. Based on where the products appeared, it could be deduced that it was likely within the Salamanca Family's territory. Compared to now, the quantity was really too small. I tend to speculate that they were probably using rudimentary tools for cooking, likely a home-made operation.

According to the entries in Gale's notebook, blue meth needs methylamine as a production material. And in the police records, there was indeed a case of a barrel of methylamine being stolen from a warehouse. So, a reasonable deduction is that the stolen methylamine was used to make the initial batches of blue meth.

For a while thereafter, a month or two, the quantity of goods on the market remained roughly the same. Clearly, their meth lab hadn't changed. But from two months onwards, first, the market sales stopped for a while, quantities plummeted, and then it was widely distributed again. Evidently, they had gained support, acquired a big laboratory, and after that, the quantity didn't fluctuate much and began to spread to several surrounding states.

Up to now, the quantity of blue meth hasn't significantly decreased, even after Gale's death, it still appears regularly on the streets. Am I right?"
