Chapter 1396 - 754: Arrests (Part 2)

Butler: "Agent, can we talk privately?"

Jimmy glanced at the butler and frowned, then nodded, got up, and followed him out of the private cinema. Wright paused the video, waiting for everyone to gather before continuing.

Jimmy and the butler stepped outside, where the butler softly explained the hostess's refusal. The guests at the party were of a sensitive nature, and they certainly didn't want to appear in front of the FBI.

Jimmy took out a pack of cigarettes, lit one, and stood by the door, gazing at the distant scenery. After a while, he waved his hand, "Let's focus on the current leads first."

After discarding the cigarette butt, they returned to review the dock's surveillance footage, focusing on locating the person they had noticed earlier. However, they never saw him again before the yacht departed.

They rested and grabbed something to eat, needing to conduct another confirmation afterward before concluding.

Without the butler noticing, Jimmy borrowed a phone from Agent Wright to report their investigation results to the Miami office, suggesting they request a search warrant for all surveillance video. This would complete the procedure, and the warrant would later be brought by the support agents.

Though it seemed somewhat unscrupulous, Jimmy had no choice. The goal wasn't just capturing the bombing suspect; confirming his previous suspicions was essential. Given the girls had been brought to this island, these parties likely left traces of hosting or the host's actions.

With the current evidence Jimmy gathered, obtaining a search warrant wouldn't be an issue. Additionally, once the support agents arrived, they could enhance the surveillance footage for further investigation, albeit with slight distortion.

Jimmy grossly underestimated the importance of this case. Just hours after making the call, by evening, a ship had arrived at the dock. Three technical personnel and five support agents were fully equipped, which was considered significant backup for the Miami office.

Agent Wright was evidently familiar with them. After exchanging greetings, one agent took a warrant from their bag and handed it to Jimmy.

Jimmy glanced at it and walked straight to the villa's main building, presenting the warrant to the butler. At this point, it wasn't up to them to agree or not. Thanks to the warrant, they could directly acquire the original surveillance footage without needing it transcribed by them. If any footage went missing, Jimmy and his team could arrest them for destroying or forging evidence.

The butler had not anticipated Jimmy's swift action. During their earlier conversation, Jimmy seemed less urgent, and who could've predicted they'd secure the search warrant within hours?

As for the warrant's authenticity, there was no doubt. In such a major case, if the FBI presented a fake warrant, the butler wouldn't be the one in trouble.

The crucial moment finally arrived. Though it was already evening, Jimmy didn't allow anyone to rest. A temporary office was set up in a large room where everyone conducted the investigation.

There was a plethora of surveillance videos. Multiple copies were distributed so everyone could partake in the investigation. Meanwhile, the three technical personnel began enhancing the prior recordings.

Jimmy didn't scrutinize the footage thoroughly; his requirements differed from others. He fast-forwarded the footage and swiftly located his target.

Jimmy: "Bring the butler here, now."

The two agents next to him glimpsed at each other, paused their tasks, and exited the room.

The butler seemed calm, unperturbed by being summoned so late at night. Without saying much, Jimmy directly showed him his computer. "Who are these women?"

Butler: "They are just accompanying personnel arranged by the agency, not people from here."

Jimmy: "This one, and this one," pointing at the two girls in the video, then switching clips to highlight another, "and this one; these individuals seem not to be adults."

The butler appeared puzzled, "Um, those people were arranged by someone else. I haven't verified their ages and identities."

Jimmy: "Where are they? Their appearance coincides with the suspected bomber."

The butler remained silent, prompting Jimmy: "I suspect they are connected with the suspect. I need to know their whereabouts. Please!"

The nearby agents sensed something and positioned themselves behind the butler. One even placed his hand on his gun.

The butler turned to glance, then faced Jimmy, "They are still here."

Jimmy raised his voice, "Earlier, you mentioned only service and management staff were here. Are you sure?"

The butler nodded, "Yes, they are in another building."

Jimmy fixed his gaze on the butler, then ordered, "Everyone, pause. Let's go together."

With the butler leading, Jimmy and his team reached the main villa. The butler retrieved a key, unlocking two doors to the basement. Jimmy, at the forefront, quickly retreated a few steps.

The basement wafted with unpleasant odors—a mixture of various perfumes and other unpleasant scents—a sensory assault Jimmy, sensitive to smells, instinctively disliked.

Jimmy waved his hand, "Go check it out."

The closest agents drew their guns and descended slowly, the female screams echoing below. "FBI, stay calm, don't move," they shouted.

The following agents joined them downstairs. Jimmy remained above, soon escorting a group of women from the two basements.

The chaotic scene before Jimmy was overwhelming. While previously noticing several people below, when all the women emerged, he regretted not arranging for the Miami office to send female agents.

The most noticeable among these women were four shorter girls, clearly young by appearance but nonetheless attractive. Although living in the basement, neither their appearance nor attire suggested captivity; it rather resembled a typical household setting.

An agent approached Jimmy, covering his mouth as he whispered, "These individuals seemed to be living in the basement with bathrooms, restrooms, makeup tables, and beds. Besides lacking windows, it's much like a regular dormitory."

Jimmy nodded, replying softly, "Well done. Let's begin."

Due to the large number of women, the team split up for questioning, ensuring at least two agents were present with each woman to prevent any incidents. They tirelessly worked for hours, thoroughly registering information from everyone.

Despite the all-night effort, the adrenaline ran high as they caught a big one this time. Besides twelve women being contractually arranged by the agency for two weeks, the backgrounds of several other women were questionable.

Some were caught while smuggling and sold here, while others were kidnapped and brought over. Among the four underage girls, one was even a U.S. citizen, having been kidnapped and held here for several months.

Jimmy clapped his hands, gathering everyone's attention: "Okay, secure everyone, including the servants and guards. Disarm them, contact the Miami office—I need more people for investigation. Seal off the dock to prevent anyone from leaving."

All agents drew their guns, secluding these women in rooms with closed doors, then dividing into pairs to detain the rest. Chaos ensued throughout the villa with constant screams.

Jimmy didn't partake in the arrests; instead, he and Mark dashed out of the villa towards the dock. The only escape route was by boat, effectively turning it into a trap once secured.
