Chapter 1323 719: The End (Part 2)

Mission accomplished, Jimmy quickly delivered two knife-hand strikes to the backs of their necks, grabbed their hair, slammed them into the wall, picked up the gun from the ground, and charged forward.

Finally rid of the surveillance, now it's time for Jimmy to get to work, the sound of "bang bang" echoed as several security guards were already forced into a side room by Jimmy and couldn't get out.

Picking up another gun, Jimmy glanced at the magazine, fired two shots through the door, kicked it open, and aimed at the person hiding under the bed using the gun of those he'd already taken down, discharging two more rounds, then placed the gun back into the hand of the already-dead guard.

First objective complete, Jimmy injured another guard, grabbed his gun, and ran back to the previous hand-to-hand combat spot, carefully checked and found his button before returning to the stairwell, shouted to Steven, and tossed him the gun he'd picked up.

The guy Jimmy had hit in the chest earlier was already lying on the third-floor corridor, completely motionless, seemed he wasn't so lucky, not making it through.

Steven checked the gun, and the two started climbing the stairs again, heading up to the fifth floor. Jimmy glanced at the corridor and said to Steven, "Check every room."

Steven nodded, followed closely behind Jimmy while keeping an eye on the stairs below, and thus began Jimmy's specialty of kicking doors in.

With his greatly enhanced physical condition, ordinary wooden doors and locks meant nothing to Jimmy. He simply kicked open doors in empty rooms to inspect, while if occupied, he'd kick them in and dodge to the side. If fired upon, he returned fire with two bullets; whether they lived or died was no concern of his. As long as they didn't do anything too outrageous, there would be plenty of room for explanation in the ensuing investigation.

However, a few people in the rooms sensibly surrendered, and Jimmy held them at gunpoint, directing Steven to frisk them to ensure no danger. He then transferred them into a side room to be detained, as all these individuals would be brought back for questioning later. Among them were certainly some of the club's management, but it wasn't clear yet who they were.

Steven had a complete recording, while Jimmy's footage stopped on the second floor. The button was now in his pocket, so the latter part of the recording was likely just blank.

Closing the door, Jimmy and Steven finally began to rest. Jimmy inspected the gun he'd just picked up while asking Steven, "How does it feel? Nerve-wracking?"

Steven, somewhat relaxed, replied, "Pretty thrilling. Did you use to do this too? With so many opponents, can we still get out?"

Jimmy: "It's alright, not a big problem."

Hearing their conversation, the people in the surveillance van knew they were temporarily safe. They immediately started making contact: "Backup will arrive in 2-3 minutes, the police station has already received a report, police cars are on their way, SWAT has also begun to assemble and head out. Hold on."

Upon hearing the update from the surveillance van, Jimmy was a bit frustrated. He'd just taken out that guy on the second floor, but another one was still on the third floor. With them arriving so fast, there was just no time.

Jimmy looked at Steven: "I'm going to take a look downstairs, do you want to watch over them here or come with me? They still have a lot of people."

Steven: "Holding up here should be fine, right?"

Jimmy: "Who knows if they have heavy-duty weapons? If they really throw grenades, we're in trouble. Alright, you wait here, I'll go check."

Jimmy didn't insist on finding a witness for himself; his target, the scumbag, was still trembling in the third-floor room. However, the gang members acting as guards were all hiding, none coming upstairs, with some even running downstairs. Besides one unfortunate guy he'd dispatched early, Jimmy found no one useful, cursing under his breath as he returned to the fifth floor.

When the police and FBI arrived, Jimmy and Steven received their notification and deactivated the alert. The guards and staff had long since fled, and the police just came to sweep up the aftermath.

All the remaining people in the building were taken away, including a few who hadn't had time to dress. With police assistance, they managed to change clothes before leaving. It was quite an operation, and of course, the people Jimmy had locked in a room wouldn't escape either, all got caught.

In the joint operation by the FBI and DEA, the police couldn't share in the glory. The injured went to the hospital, and the others were taken back to the FBI building. Several meeting rooms were specially cleared out to hold them, as the interrogation rooms weren't enough.

Back in the surveillance van, Jimmy and Steven changed out of their clothes and returned the surveillance cameras. The tech department needed to extract the footage; to be fair, the specialized equipment used by the special department was indeed powerful. Despite being just a button camera, its recording capacity is impressive, with the only issue being the limited duration due to the small internal battery size.

Fortunately, their operation wasn't too long, so they managed to capture all the necessary footage.

"Yang, your phone. There were a few calls earlier, but there were no names listed and we didn't answer them."

The agent in the van handed Jimmy his phone. During reconnaissance, he obviously couldn't carry his FBI-issued phone, so it was left along with his clothes and weapons in the van.
