Chapter 1283 700: Operation (Part 3)

Chapter 1283 700: Operation (Part 3)

Morrison ran to the agent and shouted: "Cease fire, where's the gunman?"

The agent didn't turn around, still aiming with his gun at the front, "Behind the big dumpster in front, there are two of them now."

Morrison: "Cover and fire." With that, Morrison bent down and ran forward, grabbing the agent by his clothes and pulling him back.

Jimmy also fired at the dumpster. The dumpster should already be filled with quite a bit of trash, Jimmy could see someone behind it, but the Glock bullets didn't hit them.

This kind of metal dumpster is usually surrounded by iron panels that aren't very thick, theoretically not bulletproof, so the trash inside might be what's blocking the penetration of the pistol bullets.

Seeing Morrison dragging the agent back, Jimmy said to the alert agents: "Be careful, I'm going up."

Jimmy bent down and walked into the alley beside him, keeping the Glock pointed at the opponent's hiding spot. The opponent hadn't shot at Morrison earlier, and now as Jimmy ran over, they didn't shoot immediately either; it was only when Jimmy continued forward that they fired at his location.

Jimmy saw their position in advance, and when he saw the extended arm, he aimed at the opponent's soon-to-be-exposed arm. As the opponent fired, Jimmy also shot directly at them. Although there wasn't much cover in front of him, Jimmy trusted his judgment that the opponent's gun was pointed slightly off from him.

"Bang bang..." the gunshots rang out, and just as Jimmy had predicted, the opponent's bullets landed not far in front of him, and after firing one shot, they were hit by Jimmy. The person on the edge of the dumpster fell backward, causing the person behind them to be knocked down as well.

The two crawled quickly toward the auto repair shop for cover, and Jimmy stood up, jogging to the side of the dumpster, firing again at the people inside. He didn't aim for their heads because he didn't know who these people were and needed to send them to jail; killing them outright would not be good.

The two who were shot in the torso fell to the ground still and turned to fire two shots at the back door, after which Jimmy directly knocked the guns out of their hands, "Drop your guns, raise your hands."

Seeing Jimmy bravely rush in, the agent behind also charged forward, rushing from the opposite side of the alley, and Agent Hope also ran over.

Hope came slightly later, and Jimmy had him scout to confirm there were no other exits, so he went directly around the auto repair shop. Hearing gunfire, he ran over, but due to the distance, he was slightly slower than Jimmy and the others.

Hope approached while shouting: "FBI, Yang, are you okay? Are you hurt?"

Jimmy aimed at the two on the ground without turning around: "I'm fine, both gunmen are down, come over to prepare for arrest."

Hope and another agent crossed Jimmy, and after taking two steps, Jimmy immediately shouted: "Step back."

Jimmy aimed at the room beside him, which looked like a lounge or security room. When the person inside peeked out, he directly fired at their position, "Bang bang," two consecutive bullets hit the iron door in front of them, scaring the person back.

Jimmy opened fire directly because the opponent came out holding a gun, but they cautiously peeked just enough to see the situation behind, only exposing half of their head; the rest stayed at the door.

The iron door as cover worked well; it must have been specially reinforced, as Jimmy's bullets didn't penetrate, leaving the opponent unharmed.

With Jimmy's shots fired, Hope and the agent retreated behind Jimmy again.

"I'm hit."

The voice calling for help came through the radio again. The auto repair shop was large, and Jimmy's Heart Eye Vision couldn't fully cover it.

He glanced back, seeing Agent Morrison providing emergency bleeding control for the agent who had been shot earlier. It surely wasn't Morrison who was shot, so it was the SRT and agents at the front entrance; gunfire hadn't ceased there, and from Jimmy's observation, they hadn't gotten close to the central repair workshop yet.

In the repair shop building, Jimmy could see five or six people, but couldn't be sure because some rooms jutted out, blocking part of his view. This auto repair shop might also deal in used car sales, as there was a large parking lot out back with many cars parked.

This seemed off; Jimmy was familiar with the SRT outside Baltimore's office. Though they hadn't worked together, their training was extensive, so why were they being suppressed at the front entrance without advancing into the central building?

Jimmy kept aiming at the adjacent room, where the person inside was still crouching with a gun pointed at the door, not emerging.

After waiting a while, Jimmy said to Hope beside him: "Hope, watch this room, there's a person inside with a handgun; I saw him earlier."

Hope: "Understood."

Jimmy stood up, slightly bent, and powerfully launched himself forward. The backyard was wide open; if he ran slowly, he'd be in trouble if ambushed.

On the ground, the two weren't moving; it was unclear if they were unconscious or dead, but Jimmy hadn't aimed for their heads earlier, only hitting torsos and arms, so theoretically they shouldn't be dead now.

Jimmy paused after running over, kicking away their guns with his foot, then charged toward the central repair dismantling workshop.

Morrison had already completed emergency treatment for the agent, now running to Hope and the others, gathering information on the situation. They left one person guarding the back door while Morrison and Hope headed toward the small house beside them.

FBI agents acted in three lines, with only Jimmy getting near the repair workshop. In his view, he could now clearly see the people there.

In the workshop, five people were present, focused on the front, occasionally shooting. One was doing something in front of a car with its hood open, while four engaged the SRT at the front.

"FBI, drop your weapons, raise your hands and surrender."

Instead of sneaking an attack from behind, Jimmy followed protocol by announcing twice, allowing two of the four turning toward him.

"Bang bang bang bang," shooting four times, Jimmy retreated back, Glock jammed, a frustrating malfunction at a critical moment.

He ejected the magazine, racked the slide repeatedly, then loaded a spare magazine, firing again at their positions. Now the FBI had a big advantage; Jimmy didn't need to overdo it conspicuously, hence shot at unrelated targets. Concerning the two, they were already shot in the torso and fell out of his sight.

The sound of an engine starting caught Jimmy's attention; the person in front of the car had already gotten inside. After starting the car, the other two fired quickly at the SRT outside then dove into the car, disregarding the two Jimmy had downed. The trio drove toward the main entrance, which was more accessible; the back entrance had obstacles they needed to avoid.

Jimmy was genuinely shocked by these people; were they really so ruthless to abandon their fellows?

After firing at the car driving to the main entrance, Jimmy completely lost sight of it, as his radio crackled with: "They're breaking through, stop that car."

Gunfire rang out urgently, accompanied by a series of clanging sounds. After a few booming noises, gunfire gradually ceased, "Cease fire! Cease fire!"

The car rushing to the main entrance took a round of concentrated fire, then swerved to hit an obstacle, coming to a stop.
