New World with Four Husbands

Chapter 697: Falling in love

Chapter 697: Falling in love

When Coco said that she wanted to make out with Quizen, he didn’t expect that it would escalate further than that.

Because of his wife’s advances and flirtatious remarks, he couldn’t keep his hands to himself and ended up taking her on the washroom floor, right next to the warm water and had her moaning under him in no time.

Their endeavour led them to exiting the washroom an hour and a half after, causing the servants that stayed nearby the whole time to send them a wary and flustered look.

The blue haired mediator didn’t care though.

After their lovely and heated exchange, Coco looked like she was feeling better— with a cheerful bounce on every step and a small smile playing on her lips.

How can he mind what the other people were saying when his wife looked like she was the sun herself?

A content sigh escaped his lips as he opened the door for her, letting her walk inside the bedroom first before he followed behind her soon after, but as soon as he did so, a hand wrapped around his collar and yanked him to the side.

Quizen let out disgruntled yell, startled out of his skin.

"What’s happening?!" Quizen yelped, his fingers curling around the wrist of his assaulter and when he turned his attention to them, his blue eyes clashed with green ones.

"What’s wrong with you?" The fourth husband growled, baring his teeth at his friend.

"What’s wrong with me?" The third husband echoed, his eyes narrowing as he brought his friend’s face closer to his. "What’s wrong with you? How can you do that to Coco when you know she’s sick?"

Quizen grunted, shifting his gaze away.

He didn’t think about it earlier because Coco came unto him, but now that Alhai said it.. He was right, and it pained him that the prideful Alhai was right.

"Hey now." Coco called, snapping the tension between the fourth and third husbands. "I’m the one who asked him to fuck me. No need to be mad at him, okay?"

Alhai turned his head to look at Coco, his eyes softening at the sight of an incredibly refreshed looking woman.

"If you’re going to be mad at him for doing that, then you should be mad at me instead." Coco retorted, crossing her arms over chest and shot a pointed stare at him.

"I’m the one who initiated it anyway." She stated, her lips curling downwards into a frown.

A tense silence settled over the room, and Zaque stepped forward, determined to not let the situation escalate further.

"Come on, break it off." He called, approaching Alhai and Quizen, his hands resting on both of their shoulders and pushing them away from each other. "We don’t want anyone to get hurt, do we? Get on with it, you two."

Alhai stared at Zaque for a second, silently questioning him if he was serious, but Zaque remained firm with a stare.

Alhai huffed, seeing that his friend wouldn’t budge and just let go of Quizen.

Quizen inhaled sharply when Alhai finally let go of his collar, his hand flying to his neck to pat himself and sucked in as much oxygen as he could, making Alhai roll his eyes at how dramatic he was.

"I swear, you two keep fighting like children." Zaque grumbled, pivoting in his heels and walking towards his wife.

"Are you okay?" He asked, his hands snaking to her cheek and caressing the flushed skin. "Did you feel sick as soon as you woke up? I heard that it’s the worst in the morning."

Coco tilted her head and leaned to his touch, a smile creeping to her lips. "Yeah, I felt nauseous when I woke up, but I’m fine now."

Zaque nodded his head, a relieved smile emerging on his face. "That’s a relief."

"Thank you so much for worrying." Coco mumbled, her eyes fluttering shut as she rubbed her cheek into his palm, feeling content beyond words could describe.

Zaque’s heart skipped a beat at the sight of his wife’s blissful face, his breathing hitching and heart thumping loudly in his ears.

Is it possible for someone to fall in love with the same person all over again?

Zaque wondered, because he swore that he fell for Coco once more and he’s sure that he fell in love deeper this time, but that can’t be, right? No one falls for the same person twice.

Still, his heart swelled with the overwhelming affection and couldn’t help himself from enveloping Coco in a warm hug.

"I love you." He breathed out, burying his face onto her slightly damp hair. "I love you so much, and you have no idea how much I do, but all I can say is I love you."

Coco’s heart hammered in her chest, the confession muttered right above her ears.

His voice was deep and husky, which was completely different from his voice when he was breaking off the fight between Alhai and Quizen.

"I love you, too." Coco mumbled, her arms wrapping around his torso.

Zaque closed his eyes and tightened his arms around her a little, content to just feel her warm body against his and wished that no one else would ruin the moment—

"Uh, am I interrupting?" Came a voice from the bedroom’s open doors.

Zaque’s eyes snapped open and he whisked around to face the door, his gaze landing on Cleora’s bewildered face as she look at everyone inside the room.

"Heiren and Kairo fetched me.." The older woman stated, trailing off slowly. "But I can come back again later if this is a bad time—"

"No, no, no, no!" Zaque exclaimed, pulling Coco tighter against him as he laughed nervously. "I’m just giving my wife some love, mother. What is that you need? Did they tell you that she’s ready for a check up?"

Cleora blinked, but she nodded. "Yeah.. They’re with the family physician right now."

"Check up?" Coco echoed and pulled away from Zaque. "Me? It should be my husbands! They’re the ones with a baby!"
