Chapter 19
Chapter 19
*Third person's pnt. of view*
The wind and water rushed past Sarah, causing the force of the downfall to tear at their skin and limbs as they plummeted down towards what felt like an eternal fall.
The women held on to each other for dear life, and before any could catch their breath, they came in hard contact with the water, and as soon as they tried to swim up for air, bullets teared through the churning waves hitting any target in sight.
So swimming for the surface was a no no, as Sarah debated what to do next she noticed her daughter suddenly floating in her own little pool of blood, as her body slowly rose to the surface.
Sarah was close to yelling out, but she caught herself just in time saving the last air supply within her being.
As she swam towards her daughter, Sarah's vision started going blurry, as she heard and felt her heart beat slowing down.
She suddenly felt cold, tired, in pain, and just plain exhausted, and just as she breathed the last breath, ready to be enveloped by darkness, a bullet teared through the water, and straight into her arm.
At any given time Sarah would've fought, she would've yelled in pain and agony, but being pregnant takes a lot of her energy, and this time just as darkness embraced her once again, such a familiar feeling, a lone tear escaped her, as Sarah realized that once again she failed, and this time around she was positive that if she made it out alive from Tyler's grasp, it would truly be a miracle.
*Tyler's pnt of view*
"Sir they got away, they jumped down a waterfall, and I don't think they will come out alive." Explained Lucas.
"Okay, shoot them, as soon as they reach the water shoot them, they won't have much energy, that should be enough to take them out, then bring them to me." I said emotionless, and before Lucas could reply, I broke off the connection.
I sat back in my chair, closing my eyes and rubbing my temples, as a headache teared throughout my head, with my every heartbeat.
I couldn't think straight, every one of my thoughts were enhanced with the memories of Sarah, and the good old days.
"Oh Sarah what are you doing to me?" I breathed.
I remember when I used to get these headaches coming home, she would sit me down, make me my favorite meal, and then she would give me a massage from my temples to my shoulders.
I suddenly smiled at the fact that I always told her that she had magic fingers.
I was on the brink of falling asleep when Jake stormed into the room as he yelled out of pure anger "You allowed them to shoot at the girls?!"
"Yeah, so?" I replied bored.
"So? So?! Dad we had a deal, you said they would be unharmed! I don't care how you treat Sarah, I don't care if you beat her to the pulp, and make her live like anything but a human being! But Jade is not an animal! I-"
"HOW DARE YOU PUT YOUR MOUTH IN MY BUSINESS WITH SARAH?!" I cut him off my voice booming with that of anger and authority, as I stood towering over Jake's frame, anger and adrenaline suddenly racing through my veins.
That little Fucker done went and put his mouth in the wrong business. He knows nothing of what I went through, and what I still go through. He doesn't know anything about my relationship with Sarah. Neither does he know what causes me to treat her as I have been doing recently, and at that moment I felt nothing but pure rage, and all I saw was red.
Without thinking twice my hand lashed out as my fingers secured themselves around his neck, and I slammed him against the nearest wall. I then pulled him off, throwing him on the floor then continuously kicked and punched him until he was bleeding on the floor.
Then I lowered myself to his ear and said rather calmly "Don't you ever, and I mean never put your mouth in my relationship with Sarah, or next time I won't be so nice." With that I got up, spit on his body, and left him lying there.
I left the room, and went to take a quick nap, in attempt to build up my strength so I can be ready for the girls' arrival.
As I laid on my bed, I breathed a chuckle as I thought out loud "I need to get laid."
*Lucas' pnt. of view*
After boss's orders, we climbed down the waterfall, just in time for the girls' bodies to float up to the surface of the river, and we quickly caught them before they actually floated away.
To say luck was on their side would be an understatement. They fell just a few inches away from the jagged rocks that resided at the bottom of the waterfall.
I also applaud them for their strength and bravery. It's not everyday you find women that could easily fend for themselves.
We had to carry their bodies back to the truck then, we had to drive and deliver the girls to Tyler.
The air around the other men and I was thick with guilt, to the point where you could cut it with a knife.
Everyone of us had already established how wrong the situation was, but each men had their families on the line.
Except me, I learned years ago to not defy Tyler, or else he will do what he promised.
I remember walking away from killing someone innocent, just to come home to find my beautiful queen lying in the living room, in her own blood. With that beautiful bump that held our future.
Ever since then, Tyler has used me as an example, he's kept a video of how he tortured her before killing her, just to hit a nerve and make me comply into doing his work.
I thought that I could get used to the video to the point where I could be immune to it, but no, her cries still haunt me to this day, and that's a scar that I knew would never heal.
And now every time Tyler wants his dirty work done, he will hire someone, and send me along for the ride as reminder for no one to defy him.
So of course we all had to sit in silence, although our insides screamed with guilt.
I absent-mindedly found myself admiring he youngest of the two girls.
She was of course slightly on the thin side, but I knew the cause. Her skin was slightly pale, but yet it was flawless, and it seemed fragile as if any little mistake could ruin it's beauty. Her long brown hair was knotted in different places due to its most recent situations, but overall she was absolutely beautiful.
So beautiful that she reminded me of a memory of the woman that I once loved.
I wasn't sure what took over me but I knew that I had to do something for these girls to make it out alive, even if it meant putting mine on the line.
For some reason, I stopped living the moment she was no longer with me, the moment I found out that she died, I was no longer alive.
