My Perfect Female CEO

Chapter 828: A Swift Stroke

Chapter 828: A Swift Stroke

Zhang Furen never expected Zhang Jiren to act this way, filled with doubt."You want to know why? Fine, I’ll tell you why, so you’ll die clear-headed." Zhang Jiren sneered and explained, "You never should have, absolutely never should have, set your sights on my mother. No matter how you fool around outside, enjoying your debauchery, I don’t care and can’t control that. But you shouldn’t have had beastly intentions towards my mother, do you understand?"

Zhang Jiren roared, "My mother is a woman of misfortune, accepting everything in silence without the thought of resistance. I also know that she doesn’t have the qualification or courage to resist, as that would bring even greater disaster upon her, which is why everyone bullies her. But I am her son, and the responsibility of protecting her naturally falls on my shoulders."

He paused, looking extremely desolate, and said, "Every time I see my mother crying her heart out, I wish I could tear apart those bastards who bully her limb from limb, and among them, you’re the one who deserves to die the most."

"You knew, you actually knew. I thought you didn’t know anything at all, but it turns out, you understood everything; you just pretended to be oblivious. Your disguise runs deep." Zhang Furen was stunned, shock overwhelming him. He said self-mockingly, "I naively thought you were just a child, but you turned into a ruthless little wolf cub all of a sudden. I trusted you so much, only now do I realize that all your kindness towards me was fake."

"You found out too late. I endured and endured, just waiting for this day. Originally, I didn’t even want to kill you so you could continue living a life worse than that of pigs and dogs, but things change quickly." Zhang Jiren said coldly, "I don’t know what kind of dumb luck you have to gain the favor of the prestigious Chu Group, but now, you must die, and you will surely die."

"Knowing that the Chu Group values me, killing me would only bring disaster upon yourself. Why don’t you let me go? I promise to let bygones be bygones." Zhang Furen didn’t give up on any sliver of chance for survival and hope.

"Better broken jade than intact tile. You still foolishly hope I’d spare you, you despicable human-faced beast-hearted creature. Do you think I’d believe anything you say? Laughable, truly laughable." Zhang Jiren shouted, "Even if the Chu Group comes for me, I’ll handle it, but as for you, scum, there’s no way I’d let you off. Taking your life is the only way I’ll be appeased."

"Do you hate me that much? Even at the risk of severe punishment from the Chu Group, you’re bent on mutual destruction?" Zhang Furen asked in disbelief. At this moment, the Chu Group was his last lifeline, one he clung to desperately.

He pleaded urgently, "I won’t be the Zhang Family’s heir anymore. I’ll hand the contract over to you, then I’ll go plead with the Chu Group to draft a new heir. As long as you don’t kill me, I’ll do anything. I can give up everything, I just want to live."

At this point, if Zhang Furen still naively believed Zhang Jiren didn’t know he was the heir, he’d be as foolish as a pig.

"You’re truly willing to do anything to keep yourself alive." Zhang Jiren mocked with a smile, then said, "To let you die clear-headed, I’ll tell you two more things. Everyone thinks the video of you harassing my mother was accidentally recorded by a servant at the Zhang Residence and then leaked. In fact, I used a servant’s phone to spread it. And another thing, Brother Hai and his people beating and bullying you were deliberately dispatched by me to target you. Every few days, I sent you goods and money, only for Brother Hai and the others to rob you, and each time, your gratitude towards me deepened, not realizing that every time you were full of gratitude for me, I had insulted you once more."

Zhang Furen was suddenly dumbfounded. The first event got him kicked out of the Zhang Family, and the second made him live in painful torment, worse than death, worse than pigs and dogs. How could he not be shocked?

"It was all you, it was you who ruined me." Zhang Furen murmured hoarsely, "Unknowingly, you became so unrecognizable, so terrifying."

"Did I ruin you?" Zhang Jiren spat, "It was you, the beast, who harmed others, and thus ruined yourself. Can you not grasp even this simple truth?"

"..." Zhang Furen was speechless for a moment. Now, no words could alter the situation, and regret was too late.

"Do you still want to beg me to spare you now?" Zhang Jiren sneered.

"No more begging, I know you won’t let me go." Zhang Furen was extremely bitter. Right now, he was the fish on the chopping block. No matter what he did, it was futile, with only the road of death left.

But thinking of death, how could he willingly accept it? Yet, what could unwillingness change?

"Then go die." With that, Zhang Jiren grabbed a cleaver and slashed it down towards Zhang Furen’s neck, swift and without hesitation.

"Don’t kill me, don’t kill me." Zhang Furen instinctively pleaded loudly, struggling with all his might, but he couldn’t escape or avoid the fatal blow. Before the knife landed on his neck, he already lost all control.

"Squelch!" With the blade cutting into flesh, blood gushed out.

Zhang Furen could no longer speak. The more he moved, the faster the blood flowed. His eyes opened wide, his body trembling in the shadow of death.

Blood splattered onto Zhang Jiren’s face as well. He released the cleaver and dropped to the ground, drained of any strength. While striking, he was filled with resolve, deep resentment in his heart, the intent to kill overwhelming. Yet, seeing Zhang Furen’s expression unwilling to die, fear overcame him too, as if all his strength had been sucked out, leaving him weak and powerless.

He breathed heavily for a while before calming down. By this time, Zhang Furen was dead, his eyes wide open in death, blood splattering everywhere.

He wiped his face hard, only then managing to stand up. Although his face was stained with blood, it couldn’t hide his pale complexion.

He acted boldly, unable to hesitate, yet now he felt a fear bordering on panic.

Zhang Jiren tidied up for a while, adjusting his emotions to a somewhat bearable state.

He pushed the door and walked out, instantly surrounded by Brother Hai and his group.

"It’s done, you take care of the aftermath." Zhang Jiren murmured.

"Little brother, leave the rest to us, don’t worry." Brother Hai agreed and then led his men into the room.

Seeing the scene inside the room, Brother Hai and his group were stunned.

"Brother Hai, how young is this little brother, yet he’s more ruthless than us. I thought poisoning someone would be daunting enough, but I never expected him to kill with his own hands." The underlings spoke with trembling voices.

"Born into a wealthy family, if one doesn’t think about how to survive, sooner or later they’ll be removed. The little brother had no choice." Brother Hai explained, but inside he felt a storm, muttering, "I don’t even dare to kill, the little brother is too fierce."

After instructing his men on the cleanup, Brother Hai quickly went after Zhang Jiren.

Meanwhile, Zhang Wushan’s butler, ordered to deal with Zhang Furen, had already arrived nearby.
