My Mother is the Villain

Chapter 6: Question

Chapter 6: Question

A Heavenly Woman—this was a title reserved for women who possessed peerless beauty, the highest level of talent, grace, virtue, dignity, and an untouchable presence.

In truth, the criteria were even more demanding than that.

Even someone like Margaret Russell did not qualify.

Her beauty met the standard, and her talent far exceeded it—but she was not virtuous.

She was cold and ruthless. Many even called her a she-demon, so she was naturally far from meeting the requirements of a Heavenly Woman.

To earn that title, one had to be loved by the people.

Even the world itself would acknowledge them, granting a special symbol—the word "Heavenly"—upon their forehead. It was said to ease their cultivation and grant them additional power.

"It seems there hasn’t been a single Heavenly Woman in this era on the Ancient Blood Continent," Emma said.

"It’s extremely difficult..." Master Stone nodded. "And Heavenly Women are usually protected by powerful factions. But Young Master, you don’t need to rely on that method."

"Is there another way?" Victor asked.

"No, I mean... perhaps your mother could actually break the seal."

"That’s impossible. Even if Lady reaches the peak of power, that seal still carries the strength of one of the most powerful World Monarchs," Emma interjected.

She deeply respected Margaret and knew just how powerful she was.

But in this world, the power of a World Monarch could not be reached unless one became a World Monarch.

"You know nothing, little girl," Master Stone replied with a sneer.

"And what is it that I don’t know?" Emma frowned, displeased at being called a child.

"Has anyone ever stopped pursuing the World Monarch realm when success was guaranteed?" Master Stone asked.

Emma shook her head.

In every era, the greatest geniuses fought with everything they had to become a World Monarch—the strongest realm that existed.

It was even said that one would become immortal upon reaching that level.

Their power could span the entire world.

Only a rare few were so overwhelmingly talented that becoming a World Monarch was practically inevitable.

Margaret was one of them.

Yet strangely... she had stopped.

Some stopped because they realized their limits or feared death.

But Margaret? She was far stronger than all her rivals.

There was no way she feared anything—her rivals were the ones who feared her.

So why had she stopped?

"What you know about Lady is only a fraction. You weren’t even born when she terrified all the geniuses of her era, so don’t ever underestimate her," Master Stone lectured.

"How could I underestimate Lady..." Emma muttered.

"Alright, Emma, let’s go back," Victor said, no longer interested in continuing the discussion.

He wasn’t in a hurry to obtain the Yin-Yang Mirror anyway.

He was only thirteen—physically not ready for such matters.

As a reincarnator from Earth who had already been an adult, he was naturally only interested in mature women—those at least seventeen or older.

Upon returning to the Russell Clan, Victor was greeted directly by his grandfather, Paul Russell.

The man’s brows were tightly furrowed.

"Patriarch," Emma greeted respectfully.

"What exactly did you just do?" Paul asked, glancing between Emma and Victor.

Emma hesitated, unsure how to explain.

But Victor spoke first.

"Just punishing a group of frauds."

"And what makes you think they were frauds?" Paul asked, surprised by his answer.

"Out of everything we took, only one item survived Emma’s power. Isn’t that fraud? One in hundreds of thousands—no gamble is that absurd," Victor replied.

His words stunned the clan members.

It wasn’t that they hadn’t considered seizing those goods and destroying them to find hidden treasures.

They had assumed it would yield quite a lot.

But to do so, one needed enough power to ignore the Russell Clan’s authority—and not care about reputation.

Who would have thought that among all those items, only one was genuine?

Calling it a scam was not unreasonable.

How much money had those merchants made from this?

Victor didn’t elaborate further. He simply walked toward his mother’s castle while everyone remained in shock.

"Doesn’t he seem different?" some elders whispered.

"Yeah... it’s like he’s more mature than his age. He wasn’t like this before."

"Was he hiding his true nature?"

"Maybe. And now he’s changed because he has a Heaven-Class talent—even if it was stolen."

"A Heaven-Class talent is enough to justify confidence."

When Victor entered the castle, he saw his mother.

She sat with one leg crossed over the other, her long legs exposed through the slit of her dress.

Her sharp gaze fell on him.

Shua!

The iron box Victor had hidden in his clothes suddenly flew into her hand.

Victor remained silent—he knew he couldn’t hide anything from her.

She examined the box... and for once, a faint smile appeared on her lips.

Click!

A soft sound rang out, and a small gap in the iron box suddenly opened.

"What?" Emma was shocked.

Even knowing Lady might be capable of breaking it, she had expected it to take effort.

Even Master Stone would have thought the same—yet it opened so effortlessly.

With a slight push of her finger, the box fully opened, revealing a black circular mirror, surrounded by dark gold engravings of men and women in intimate poses.

Victor hadn’t expected it to be that size.

Even Emma blushed slightly upon seeing it.

"Victor," Margaret said, her voice calm yet piercing, "answer me honestly. You feel desire toward women, don’t you?"
