My Mate Has Two Wolves

Chapter 394

Chapter 394

Third Person's POV

Sunny returned home and, after a while of overthinking, decided to go out and buy something to eat.

The news of her breakup with Leo had already faded a few days ago. Now, the engagement of Blake and Catherine had taken over the entire internet. The buzz around her had significantly diminished.

Sunny put on a mask, went out without makeup, and wore a white woolen coat.

She walked along the avenue outside her block, remembering a delicious cupcake shop she had visited before. She hadn't been there in a long time and was craving their food. Maybe her mood had improved, because she felt lighter on her feet, not as burdened as before.

After all, Leo had proposed to her, and she was the one who had turned him down.

Thinking of this, Sunny let out a quiet breath and felt a fleeting sense of triumph.

But such thoughts were short-lived. In the world of love, there are no real winners. As long as one doesn't lose too badly, that's already pretty good.

Sunny remembered the route but couldn't recall whether to turn left or right. She stood by the roadside, carefully trying to remember.

Suddenly, a black van came up from her left. Sunny didn't find the vehicle suspicious and was still preoccupied with her thoughts.

It wasn't until the van screeched to a halt right in front of her and two men jumped out, grabbing her and dragging her towards the vehicle, that she realized what was happening.

For a second, Sunny was stunned. But in the next second, she swiftly lifted her arm, striking one man's chin. The man, caught off guard by her counterattack in such a dangerous situation, not only had his chin injured but also let out a cry of pain. In the next moment, Sunny kneed the other man in the groin, causing him to let out a pig-like scream. She then kicked him with her leg, sending him crashing into the side of the van, dazed and disoriented.

"Damn it!" The man whose chin had been struck was furious. He hadn't expected Sunny to fight back so fiercely. He pulled out a small knife from his waist and lunged at her.

In a panic, Sunny raised her hand to block, and the knife slashed across her arm. However, in the next second, she spun around and kicked the man, knocking him to the ground again.

"Get out of here!" the driver in the van shouted loudly.

The two men, now in a sorry state, had no interest in capturing Sunny anymore and fled back into the van, which sped away.

After the shock and anger subsided, Sunny realized that her right arm was severely injured, with blood soaking her sleeve.

She let out a cry of pain. The bystanders who had witnessed the scene were stunned. They couldn't believe that such a seemingly frail girl could have such impressive fighting skills.

"You should go to the hospital and get that wound dressed. It's bleeding a lot," a kind-hearted passerby advised her.

Sunny, frightened and panicked, turned and ran away.

However, the video of her single-handedly taking down the two men had been captured by some of the onlookers.

Sunny sprinted all the way back to her home. She was still terrified and confused about who those men were and why they had attacked her without a word.

She had narrowly escaped a dangerous situation. Her face was pale with fear.

Once back home, Sunny dared not go out on the streets again after being attacked. She quickly applied first aid to stop the bleeding. Fortunately, the bleeding stopped, but the gash from the knife was deep and painful to look at.

At a loss for whom to turn to, the only face that came to her mind was that of Leo.

In pain, with a pale face and cold sweat pouring down, Sunny finally decided to call Leo for help.

She didn't want to leave her wound untreated, as infection could lead to more serious consequences.

When Leo answered Sunny's call, he lazily asked, "What's up? Have you made up your mind about my proposal?"

Sunny, gasping and out of breath, said, "Leo, can you come over and help me? I'm injured."

"Injured? Where are you injured?" Leo didn't think it was serious, so he wasn't particularly anxious.

"I've been stabbed." Sunny replied in agony.

"What?" This time, Leo's voice was explosive with urgency. "Where are you? I'm coming right now!"

"I'm at home." Sunny hung up the phone after saying this.

Half an hour later, Leo was pounding on her door. He had run all the way there, and now his usually neat hair was disheveled. His face was flushed red.

After a few more knocks with no response, he was about to kick the door down.

Fortunately, Sunny, enduring the intense pain, managed to open the door just in time, saving her door from destruction.

When the door opened, Leo saw her pale face, covered in cold sweat. He quickly stepped forward, took a look at her injured arm, and saw the alarming gash on her fair skin, with blood still dripping down. Clearly, Sunny's attempt to stop the bleeding hadn't been very effective.

"What happened? Who did this?" Leo shouted, his eyes blazing with fury and concern, as if he wanted to tear the perpetrator limb from limb.
