My Mate Has Two Wolves

Chapter 393

Chapter 393

Eda's POV

"Eda, if only I had met you earlier, I would have always been by your side." Benjamin walked over to me, gently wrapped his arms around me. He held me tightly.

I'm a very strong woman. I've hardly ever cried from childhood to now.

But at this moment, for some reason, I felt like I needed protection. My heart was as fragile as glass, craving comfort.

"Yeah, why didn't you show up sooner?" I murmured with a smile, though my voice was a little choked up.

Benjamin held me. His tenderness enveloped my heart.

The things that scared me were indeed terrifying, but right now, his embrace made me feel safe.

He said softly, "Eda, if you're scared, let's not do anything. If you don't want to get married, we'll just keep dating; if you don't want to have kids, we won't have any. I don't want you to face those things that scare you anymore."

After hearing his words, I gently pushed him away, blinked my eyes, and asked in disbelief, "Really? If I don't want to get married, you won't force me? If I don't have kids, you won't blame me?"

Benjamin reached out, gently wiped away the tears from the corners of my eyes, and nodded. "Yes, no more pressure. People shouldn't change themselves just to please others. I love you for who you are, not for who I want you to be."

"Benjamin!" These were the most touching and warm words I had ever heard in my life. I suddenly threw my arms around his waist, buried my face deeply in his chest, and choked up again. "You're so good. Meeting you is the greatest luck I've ever had in my life!"

Benjamin chuckled softly. "Alright, if you keep hugging this tight, I'm going to run out of breath, and then you'll lose me!"

I realized I had hugged him too hard, as if trying to merge Benjamin into my own body.

I quickly let go. "Are you okay? I... I usually don't have this much strength, really."

Hearing this, Benjamin laughed out loud, but I felt a bit annoyed, thinking I was talking nonsense and making things worse. I felt extremely embarrassed and had an urge to kick Benjamin far away.

"Let's talk about the baby now," Benjamin gently turned my office chair, propped one hand on the back of the chair, leaned down slightly, and looked into my face. "This baby came unexpectedly. If we really don't want him, we'll do more good deeds in the future to accumulate some blessings for our child, so he can be born into a good family next time."

Seeing him speak so seriously, which was quite different from his usual rich-boy image, I couldn't help but laugh. It made Benjamin look a bit confused.

"What are you laughing at? I'm discussing the baby with you seriously." Benjamin frowned.

I stopped laughing, but my lips still curved up. "Do you think if we don't have him, he'll be born into another family next time?"

"He probably can. We'll take all the responsibility, and it has nothing to do with him. He should be able to find a good family!" Benjamin said earnestly.

I nodded in agreement. "You're right. He should have a good destination, but not in someone else's home, but in ours!"

Benjamin didn't understand at first, but when he realized what I meant, his face was first filled with surprise, and then he was overjoyed. "Eda, you mean..."

"I've decided to have this baby. However, I only agree to having the baby. The marriage thing, let me think about it slowly. I can't promise you both things at once," I immediately laughed, my smile tinged with a hint of helplessness.

"Really? You're willing to have him?" Benjamin was ecstatic.

I nodded. "Yes, since he came to us unexpectedly, he must have a connection with us. Let's not drive him away."

"Okay, we'll raise him together!" Benjamin was so excited that his handsome face turned a little red, making him even more radiant.

Seeing him so happy, a flicker of sadness crossed my beautiful eyes as I asked in a low voice, "What if she's a girl, would you still be this happy?"

The smile on Benjamin's face froze instantly. His eyes stared intently at my worried face. "Why are you asking that? It's our child. Of course, I'll be happy!"

"What if I only agree to have a girl, would you feel very disappointed?" I still couldn't completely shake off the shadows of my childhood. I asked this because I didn't want my daughter to go through the same pain I had. Even if I would love my daughter with all my heart, if Benjamin didn't, it would definitely be a tragedy.

Benjamin immediately said, "I, Benjamin, swear to God that I will love our child, whether it's a girl or a boy. If I go back on my word, may I..."

I quickly covered his thin lips with my hand, gently scolding him with a smile, "Why are you making such a harsh oath? You just said you wouldn't pressure me. I won't pressure you either. If you're good to me and the child, show us, okay? I'll know in my heart."

Benjamin sighed softly. "I feel like if I don't swear, you won't believe me."

"I believe you!" I nodded softly. "Apart from Howard, you're the person I trust the most!"
