My Mate Has Two Wolves

Chapter 369

Chapter 369

Third Person's POV

Sunny had obtained Olivia's recording, yet she hadn't handed it over to him immediately. She was still protecting Olivia. It seemed that in the face of love and family bonds, there was still a distinction in importance.

Clearly, her feelings for him were far less significant than the familial ties she had with Olivia.

Or perhaps, there was no comparison to be made at all.

Leo's heart was like a chaotic storm, agitated and bewildered, searching for a reason to calm down.

Upon reaching the base of the Imperial Building, Leo strode straight in and marched towards Blake's private elevator.

As the second son of the Royal Pack, Leo had never concealed his identity. Thus, as he strode through the lobby, he attracted only envious glances from women.

Even though Leo's expression was cold, his fervent female fans still pursued him relentlessly.

Perhaps it was Leo's taut expression, coupled with the band-aids on his face, that gave off an air of frosty detachment. The women around him gasped in admiration but dared not approach him, let alone ask for autographs or photos.

The elevator doors closed and ascended swiftly.

Leo clutched the phone tightly until he stepped into Blake's office.

Blake had already been informed by his assistant that Leo was coming to see him. Seeing the door open, he immediately frowned and said, "You're injured. Why haven't you gone to the hospital for a check-up?"

"I have something very important to tell you." Leo declared, raising the phone. "This is Sunny's phone. She met with Olivia and recorded her confession. It seems Richard is indeed behind this."

"Let me hear it." Blake's face darkened instantly, his voice urgent.

Leo played the recording. After listening to it, Leo said coldly, "Blake, this is the evidence. We can send him back to jail again. He's a heartless murderer."

"Leo, I also have something to tell you." Blake's beautiful face flashed with paleness and anger after hearing the recording, but he was calmer than Leo. After a few seconds of silence, he finally made a decision.

Seeing that Blake didn't immediately use the recording as evidence to prosecute Richard, Leo's face changed dramatically, revealing a hint of anger. "Blake, didn't you understand what Olivia said? Richard set her up to seduce our father and caused his death. This is a blood feud. We must punish him immediately."

"I know, Leo. He is guilty!" Blake raised his head sharply, his eyes filled with pain as he looked at Leo. His deep eyes reddened instantly. Then, in a hoarse voice, he said, "Do you know Grandpa doesn't have much time left?"

"What?" Leo felt as if he had been struck by lightning, trembling all over. His eyes widened, and even his overly dark pupils quivered. "What did you just say? What about Grandpa?"

"Grandpa doesn't have much time left. I heard it." Blake covered his eyes with his hands, as if to hide the redness in his eyes. He didn't want to accept this reality, but the truth was cruel and forced him to face this pain.

"How can this be? I've spoken to the doctor, and he told me that Grandpa's condition was good. Blake, who told you this? Who's spreading rumors?" Leo couldn't believe it. This was different from what he had heard, and he couldn't accept it.

"It was Grandpa and Grandma talking. I overheard it. It's true." Blake's tone was filled with sorrow.

"Is that so? Is it really true?" Leo suddenly felt unsteady on his feet and sat directly on Blake's desk, his expression dazed. "No wonder the last time I saw him, he looked thinner and his complexion was poor. It's because of this!"

"Leo, I understand your desire to bring Richard to justice. I feel the same way. I wish he would get what he deserves. But if we choose this moment to take him to court and make him confess to being a fratricide, Grandpa would be heartbroken. He might... " Blake almost couldn't continue, because the consequence would be that Grandpa could die of anger, and he wouldn't pass away peacefully.

Leo finally understood Blake's complex and contradictory feelings. He too fell silent, his eyes vacant.

Blake murmured, "Grandpa seemed heartless towards Richard, but he is still his son. When I was young, I heard that Grandpa valued Richard more than our dad, thinking he would definitely amount to something. That's why when sending him to jail, Grandpa fell seriously ill. It was because he was heartbroken that his son, whom he was so proud of, had done something so heartbreaking. This time, if Grandpa finds out that Richard killed his other son, he definitely won't be able to withstand such a blow."

Leo propped one hand over one eye, the other eye reddening.

The office was deathly silent. Neither of the brothers spoke, the atmosphere thick with sorrow.

"When did you find out? Why didn't you tell me sooner?" Leo lowered his arm and looked up at Blake. His voice was tinged with resentment.
