My Life In A Fantasy, Women-Dominated World

Chapter 170: Translation Bead... Ending

Chapter 170: Translation Bead... Ending

Aaron hopped from a corpse to another corpse like a tiny monkey scavenging for food.

He worked with brutal precision and speed, harvesting their blood cores quickly.

Unluckily for him, the acid in their hearts had pretty much dried under the sun, exposing the toxin’s blatant weakness.

He realized that if he wanted to use this venom, he had to do it in the night or at least under a cool shade, otherwise he won’t even blink before it evaporates off.

Alyssa, after saving his life, became much more carefree around him and Aaron didn’t stop her either.

She got so casual that she didn’t even care about the personal space, grabbing his hair and tugging them as she climbed on his head.

She sat on his head, using his hair as support, sending light winces down his nerves as he growled at her to get down.

"Hehehe, I am taller than you. Bow before me, monster!" she giggled playfully, refusing to listen to his wishes to get off.

"Ugh... Don’t pull my hair then, sit quietly." he sighed in defeat, before adding, "Also, stop calling me a monster, geez."

"If not a monster, then what are you?" she asked curiously.

"I am something known as a human."

"Hooman?" she said with a tilt of her head.

"Human."

Aaron chuckled, entertaining some of her curiosities while harvesting the blood cores.

As for the stealth elder, she could hear them as well, and instead of opening his ear completely to her, he created smaller holes in the walls instead, which could allow sound to pass through but not her or any harmful plans she COULD be cooking.

He couldn’t bring himself to trust that woman as his instincts refused to let him be so naive.

And Aaron was a man that learned to trust his gut feelings, that was what Claire taught him as well, and he took that advice to his heart.

After nearly 15-20 minutes of non-stop harvest, Aaron took out his backpack and collected all the bloodcores into a polybag before storing the bag in his backpack.

Then he threw his backpack into the inventory as well, leaving only two cores with himself in case he found out its use.

Once the farming and the rest were dealt with, Aaron stood back upright, stretching his body backwards, twirling his neck and massaging it to relieve some pain.

Alyssa, sitting on his head, clutched the hair tighter and laughed loudly as she felt the world moving rapidly.

It was like she was sitting on a world-class roller coaster that moved constantly, making her feel excited.

"Directions for our next target please~" Aaron grinned while stretching his arms.

By now he had finished harvesting the gold shrooms from three tribes.

Strength, Stealth and Ranger.

He only had to rob two more before he acquired the cure from the venom tribe elder, and he was in full mood to get it done by today.

"There!" Alyssa pointed in a direction, chirping and pulling his hair like a little rat in that famous animated film.

Hell, not only that, she even tried to control his body like that rat, but alas, this was no animated film and fantasy.

She only received an angry growl pertaining to her stunt, before Aaron flicked her top of the mushroom cap with his middle finger, making her yelp, screaming "MISER BASTARD, I SAVED YOU! LET ME PLAY!"

Aaron chose to ignore the childish cute mushfolk, grinning slightly as he leaned low.

He took a deep breath, his knee bending as he took a stance before shooting in a direction at his top speed.

Alyssa’s faint and panicked screams reached his ears but he didn’t slow down his speed, zigzagging and stepping on the nightcrawler corpses as he made his way towards the fourth tribe.

With his decently high stamina and agility stats, it wasn’t difficult to run at high speed for a long period of time, as he didn’t slow down even after 30 minutes of sprint.

Of course, Alyssa’s weak body couldn’t handle such a long duration of abuse, making her retire from her throne on his head and settle back onto his shoulder.

Finally, Aaron reached his destination, taking greedy drags of air.

"Which tribe is this?" He asked casually.

"The lingso tribe." Alyssa replied in brief, still pouty about getting taken down her seat.

"Lingso...? I thought it would be something related to strength or shit."

"...?" Alyssa looked at him questioningly, "Wha?"

"What’s this tribe’s name."

"Ashr lingso tribe." Alyssa replied with a tilt of her head before squinting, "Ashr translation bead shikr ending."

Her words sounded like a mix of her language and his language, making him frown deeply.

Although her statements sounded broken, he understood the reason. The translation bead that she had fed him, its effects were reducing and soon he wouldn’t be able to understand whatever she or the other tribes were talking about.

"We need another one of those." He said in haste, awkwardly gesturing the same, "Can it be found inside?"

Alyssa had a confused and irritated expression on her face as she tried to gesture back at him.

She raised one finger, then made a beak sign, opening and closing the beak as she spoke, "Translation bead, oushta trish killa?"

"Ughhh!" Aaron groaned, grabbing her and putting her on top of a rock that was decently high, looking at her face to face as he tried to convey his message.

Alyssa also understood what he wanted slightly, gesturing her guesses to check if they were on the same page or not.

It took them several tries and attempts, a lot of back and forth gestures to convey a simple message.

’We need to get another bead.’

Once the intent was cleared up, Aaron grabbed Alyssa and placed her back on his shoulder before closing up her cell with tinted glass.

Then he looked at the ’lingso’ tribe in front of his eyes, several small mushroom buildings and distant mushfolks that appeared like ants from this distance.

Without hesitation, he stepped towards them.
