My Dragon Baby and Billionaire Husband

Chapter 807: Regret Medicine 2

Chapter 807: Regret Medicine 2

The fine rain shimmered in the evening glow, and Ye Siyuan hadn’t come up to the sea surface for a long time to catch some air. She wasn’t someone who liked living under the sea, because growing up on land with her parents, she preferred the sunshine and dew. Now that Mrs. Si had recovered, everyone felt much more relaxed, so Ye Siyuan dragged Si Mingjing up to the sea surface to watch the sunset.

Spring had arrived. In the distance, the sea and sky were one, and the sunset painted half of the sky, while a gentle drizzle fell nearby.

Ye Siyuan didn’t mind the rain.

She swam freely in the drizzle, her beautiful tail splashing countless droplets on the sea’s surface.

Si Mingjing, on the other hand, transformed into a great dragon, roiling through the sea, occasionally leaping out to play with the waves.

Out of nowhere, a cruise ship passed by. Someone on deck was using a telescope to admire the sunset when they unexpectedly saw a dragon and a mermaid chasing each other through the lens. He rubbed his eyes hard, thinking he was seeing things.

"Dragon, dragon, dragon, I saw a dragon!"

There were other tourists on the deck, and they all laughed when they heard him.

"There’s no such thing as real dragons in this world. You must be hallucinating, right?"

"It’s true! I saw a big white dragon and a mermaid playing in the water."

"Let me see."

A companion leaned in to look through the telescope, but after searching back and forth, all in vain: "You must be kidding me! If there really is a true dragon, I’ll change my surname to yours! But mermaids do exist; I heard that the Mermaid Princess of Atlantis recently became infertile because she took the wrong slimming pills. I guess mermaids of Atlantis will become extinct in the future!"

"There really is!"

The person looked through the telescope again but no longer saw the dragon or mermaid.

He became unsure and murmured to himself, "Could it really be my imagination?"

Si Mingjing and Ye Siyuan returned to the bustling Imperial Capital of Mu Continent under the sea. Si Lisao had an important meeting, which hadn’t ended by quitting time. Xiao Changsheng said the meeting might last two more hours.

So Si Mingjing brought Ye Siyuan to dine with him in the Royal Palace.

Ye Jingzhe wasn’t around; Little Xiangru had turned into Little Liyu, with only Su Chaoyang and Xi Lei, the two little dragonlings, by their side.

The two children had already been enrolled in school.

When Si Mingjing returned to the Royal Palace, the two little dragonlings had just returned with their little backpacks.

Xi Lei threw his little backpack onto the sofa casually and clamored that he was hungry.

Si Mingjing ordered someone to prepare a meal.

The four of them, two big and two small, sat at the dining table to eat.

Ye Siyuan took out the pearl that Mrs. Si had returned to her and asked, "Sister-in-law, do you think the pearl I produced can reverse time and alter destiny?"

Si Mingjing wasn’t sure: "You can give it a try. How does it work?"

Ye Siyuan said, "My mother said that as long as you swallow it and then focus on recalling your most regretful moment, you can return to that moment. You’ll have a full hour, and if you make a change during that hour, when you wake up, your life will be altered."

Si Mingjing listened with great interest while eating: "It sounds magical."

Ye Siyuan played with the pearl and said, "Sister-in-law, I have nothing I’m truly regretful about. Do you?"

"Yes."

Ye Siyuan handed the pearl to Si Mingjing and said, "Then sister-in-law, you take it to use. My mother used to sell Regret Medicine. Those who bought it all managed to change their lives by going back to the past."

Afraid that Si Mingjing wouldn’t believe her, Ye Siyuan gave two examples.

"There was once a female singer. She signed with a company, believing they would groom her into a big star. Little did she know, the company was a mere front for illicit activities. Lacking significant resources, she was constantly forced by the manager to entertain wealthy patrons. She tried to resist but couldn’t, reaching a point of depression where she wanted to commit suicide. My mom, feeling sorry for her, sold her a Regret Medicine.’

She took it, went back in time, and did not sign with that company. An hour later, she returned to reality, and sure enough, her fate had changed. She was no longer a nameless nobody; instead, she found herself backstage at a concert, with countless fans waiting for her performance, as if she had hit the jackpot.

Because she changed her destiny and didn’t sign with that fraudster company, she was later discovered by a genuine talent scout and became a famous female singer all over the country."

The more Si Mingjing listened, the more intrigued she became. Could returning to the past for just an hour and making different choices really lead to such significant changes and reversals in life?

Ye Siyuan continued, "And then there’s Aunt Tang Zhou. When she was young, she was tricked and died falling off a cliff. My dad and several uncles were heartbroken and held her funeral. At the funeral, my mom gave my uncle a Regret Medicine. He returned to a few minutes before Aunt’s fall and prevented the accident. All the uncles, anxiously waiting in the funeral parlor, found that the place no longer existed, and Aunt was lying in the hospital instead. Although injured, she was out of danger. My dad and uncles were overjoyed."

Ye Siyuan’s words presented immense temptation.

If she had regrets, she wished she could go back in time right away...

Si Mingjing, holding the pearl between two fingers, felt an inner stir of eagerness.

She put the pearl away and said, "I’ll give it a try later."

"Sister-in-law, remember, after taking the medicine, you must focus your mind and think wholeheartedly about the moment you regret the most in that year, the moments most filled with regret, so that you can return to the past and change your destiny."

Si Mingjing nodded.

Little Su Chaoyang shook his cute, fluffy little dragon horns and chirped while eating, "Mommy, when you go back to the past, will you protect me right after I was born so that uncle won’t take me away?"

"Uh..." Si Mingjing hadn’t considered that.

She thought the children were well-raised by her brothers. Despite some grievances, she felt mostly grateful. After all, when Xiaobai was on the brink of life and death, it was apparent that having her brothers raise her children had more benefits than drawbacks.

Xi Lei also nodded coolly with his little head: "Mom, I don’t want to be taken away by uncle either; I want to live with mom and dad. If mom goes back in time, I won’t be taken away by uncle, right?"

Si Mingjing pressed her brows and asked, "Isn’t uncle treating you well?"

"He is. Uncle super spoils me, but I want to live with mom and dad."

Si Mingjing couldn’t satisfy the children’s desires and said, "Uncle has raised you with great care, diapered you, and looked after you. You must remember uncle’s kindness in raising you and be filial to uncle in the future."

Which meant she didn’t agree at all.

Little Su Chaoyang and Xi Lei, the clever little dragonlings, realized from mom’s words that it wasn’t going to happen, so they lost interest in their aunt and mom’s conversation and focused on eating instead.

Su Chaoyang, undeterred, asked, "Mommy, what is it that you regret the most?"
