My Dragon Baby and Billionaire Husband

Chapter 806: Regret Medicine 1

Chapter 806: Regret Medicine 1

Ye Siyuan slept for three whole days, during which Si Lisao stayed by the bedside without leaving for even a moment. Eventually, exhausted, he fell asleep leaning against the chair.

When the nurse came in to change the medicine, she moved cautiously, not waking Si Lisao, and Ye Siyuan opened her eyes.

The nurse whispered, "Miss Ye, you’re awake? How are you feeling? Should I call the doctor?"

Ye Siyuan had been asleep for three days, and upon waking, she felt refreshed, with no discomfort at all.

She shook her head, her gaze falling on Si Lisao.

He was asleep leaning on the chair, his long legs crossed, arms folded across his chest, with his handsome head tilted to the right. He looked lazy yet untouchable, like a majestic lion lurking on the vast grasslands, inspiring awe.

With no place to rest his head, that sleeping posture must be quite uncomfortable, right?

Ye Siyuan wanted to wake him but, glancing at the dark circles under his eyes, she couldn’t bring herself to do it.

Ye Siyuan asked the nurse in a low voice, "How long did I sleep? Why does Lisao have such heavy dark circles?"

The young nurse replied, "Miss Ye, you’ve been sleeping for three whole days and nights. During this time, the Prince Regent has stayed by your side without leaving, even moving his official duties to the ward. You see, there."

The nurse pointed to the adjacent desk, which was piled with documents.

Ye Siyuan was surprised, "I actually slept for so long?"

"Yes, everyone knows you risked half your life saving Mrs. Si. Are you really okay?" The young nurse previously thought the Princess of Atlantis must be delicate, never expecting she’d go to such lengths for her future mother-in-law. No wonder the Prince Regent was so devoted.

Upon waking, Ye Siyuan wanted to use the bathroom.

The young nurse helped her with the IV bottle.

Entering the bathroom, the nurse hung the IV bottle high, then stepped out, closing the door for Ye Siyuan.

Everyone has urgent needs; after resolving hers, Ye Siyuan stood in front of the sink and washed her face.

Raising her eyes, she looked at herself in the mirror.

Initially, she thought her skin would deteriorate after three days of sleep, but the reflection was as if she had just had a spa treatment, her skin so hydrated it seemed water could drip off.

Her skin had always been good, but meticulously observing in the mirror now revealed it had improved several levels, like the skin of a one-year-old baby, even more tender than milk.

Ye Siyuan thought, she had slept for three days and nights, surely not having bathed for that time.

Feeling perfectly healthy, she simply removed the IV needle from her hand.

On the sink were shampoo, shower gel, and skincare products—all men’s, obviously used by her Lisao. She took the shower gel into the shower room, intending to take a bath.

During the bath, she unexpectedly found a mole on her waist was gone.

Huh?

She had a small black mole on her waist which she had always disliked. After trying to remove it, the mole grew larger, nearly the size of a pea. She always meant to get it removed but hadn’t taken action. Now it was gone without a trace of ever being there, leaving Ye Siyuan wondering if the mole had ever existed at all.

"What’s happening? My skin underwent a deep maintenance; several moles disappeared. Did I undergo cosmetic surgery?"

After bathing, Ye Siyuan returned to the ward.

Lying on the bed, she messaged Si Mingjing on WeChat, complaining about the matter.

Ye Siyuan: "Sister-in-law, what kind of water did you let me soak in? My skin is now glowing like biubiubiu, and several moles on my body disappeared. Did you give me a beauty bath?"

Si Mingjing: "Awake? How are you feeling?"

Ye Siyuan: "Very well. Sister-in-law, did you get the medicine from me?"

Si Mingjing: "Yes, I’ve got it. I’m coming to the hospital to see you now."

Ye Siyuan: "Sister-in-law, I’m starving. If you’re coming, bring me something to eat, please."

Ye Siyuan was ravenous, not having eaten anything in the past three days and nights. The nutrient drip could only meet basic needs, but her delicate stomach had been protesting.

Si Mingjing: "Sure, what would you like?"

Ye Siyuan: "Even a bowl of instant noodles would be delicious now."

So hungry, anything should taste delightful.

Si Mingjing prepared lunch according to her idea.

An hour later, Si Mingjing arrived at the hospital, bringing Ye Siyuan seafood congee and some soft snacks that were easy to digest. After not eating for three days, she shouldn’t consume heavy meals.

Si Lisao had woken up, sitting beside her going through documents.

Ye Siyuan ate the seafood congee proudly, saying, "Sister-in-law, why don’t you open a beauty salon? Or give me the formula for that mermaid bath; I’ll open a beauty salon with it. It’s incredible!"

Si Lisao sat nearby, smirking silently.

Si Mingjing said, "And what? Let customers sleep for three days and nights, then send them to the hospital? Aren’t you afraid of medical disputes?"

The thought amused Ye Siyuan, causing her to laugh uncontrollably. She replied, "It takes two to three months to recover from cosmetic surgery. Girls who love beauty can endure any hardship, can’t they?"

Si Mingjing thought: But others aren’t mermaids with self-cleaning abilities.

Full and satisfied, Ye Siyuan was in high spirits, ready to visit Mrs. Si in the adjacent room.

Mrs. Si had taken traditional medicine for three days, feeling some sensation in her half-paralyzed limbs but still unable to move. She needed at least half a month of medication, yet having sensation gave hope, and Mrs. Si’s mindset was positive.

Seeing Ye Siyuan, her eyes couldn’t hide the gratitude and warmth.

Mrs. Si said, "Finally, you woke up, child, or I wouldn’t know how to explain to your parents."

Ye Siyuan twirled in front of her, saying, "I’m fine, perfectly healthy, don’t worry. Once you’re better, you have to take me shopping."

Renewed in spirit, her face radiant with health, Mrs. Si was reassured.

Ye Siyuan was a delight to be around, always cheering up the elders, keeping Mrs. Si company in the ward all afternoon.

By the fifteenth day, Mrs. Si could get out of bed, her entire body functional. She was so moved she nearly cried, even her original doctor marveled at the profundity of traditional medicine.

By the twenty-fifth day, Mrs. Si completely recovered and was discharged, returning the pearl to Ye Siyuan, considering both Ye Siyuan and Si Mingjing as her saviors, wholeheartedly grateful.

Ye Siyuan was stunned, previously unaware she had produced a pearl.

Si Lisao and Si Mingjing never disclosed the truth to Ye Siyuan about the medicinal bath treating her cold syndrome, agreeing to keep it secret indefinitely. Thus, everyone, including Si Yuan, believed she had sacrificed part of herself to save Mrs. Si, which was just fine.
