My crazy Cultivation Path

CHAPTER 127

CHAPTER 127

— Simone’s point of view —

Barely dodging the man’s blows, Simone studied him.

Those two long arms are a problem. And he’s clearly faster than me… maybe rank seven, she thought.

The man gave her no breathing room, swinging his axes from every possible angle.

Under pressure, Simone manipulated the iron bar to parry one of the axes. The impact produced a dull thud that tore through the air.

The shock distracted her for a split second.

— On top of speaking poorly, you dare lose focus! the man roared, slashing horizontally.

Reacting too late, Simone shifted the iron bar to block the strike. But the blow was so fast that the axe violently shoved the bar back, hurling Simone away.

— That wasn’t even entertaining… Weak. You’re weak.

When he saw Simone get back up and charge at him, he spread his arms wide.

— Enough, little girl. At least I’ll be kind enough to kill you quickly.

Right in front of him, a chunk of the ground suddenly rose and shot straight toward his head.

On reflex, he stepped back—but one of Simone’s iron bars burst forward and pierced his left flank.

Blood gushed from his mouth. Pain pulsed through his entire abdomen. He gritted his teeth.

But Simone gave him no respite. Bursting out from the crack in the ground, high in the air, she smashed a lightning-fast straight punch right into his face.

The man’s head snapped backward from the impact.

He immediately countered with a diagonal slash. His long arms concealed the attack.

Yet, by instinct, Simone manipulated the iron bar and guided it into her hand. Spinning quickly, she parried the axe. Then, seizing another bar, she struck back.

The man blocked with his second axe.

A savage flurry of blows followed.

Simone struck like a beast.

The man, like an enraged hunter.

Until the moment Simone managed to push both axes away at once.

But instead of rushing in, she violently hurled her two iron bars.

Seeing an opening, the man chose to crush her with his axes rather than defend himself.

Idiot, Simone thought.

With a flick of her hand, the ground shattered, raising two stone barriers to shield her flanks.

— As if those pathetic walls could stop my axes! the man roared.

At the impact, the barriers exploded.

But right in front of him, the iron bars reached their target. They blocked his vision. He barely dodged the one aimed at his head.

The other slammed straight into his right flank.

Completely absorbed in the fight, he didn’t cry out, swallowing the pain.

Suddenly, the bar embedded in his abdomen jerked upward and smashed into his chin, snapping his head back.

In that instant, he felt a blade pierce his body.

Simone had turned a recovered stone into a blade and was slashing his abdomen with unprecedented savagery.

Her own body was covered in blood and wounds, but the determination burned in her eyes.

Feeling life slipping away, the man attempted one final attack. He swung his axes down toward Simone, who was right on top of him.

But as if she had eyes in the back of her head, Simone halted his assault and leaped backward.

— Your own weapons will end your life… a perfectly fitting end for someone like you, she whispered, loud enough for him to hear.

Trying to roar, he was instead impaled by his own axes.

A few gurgles… then nothing.

Silence.

— Hahahahahaha… Hahahahahaha… Simone breathed.

— The rest of you are lucky I’m not in top shape anymore…

She lay down, spitting blood, her hand pressed against her wounded flank, crudely sealed with stone.
