CHAPTER 126
CHAPTER 126
— Aconé’s point of view —
At Hikiri’s roar.
Aconé grabbed his saber. As one, the entire group charged the abbey.
With his rank-eight strength, he carved his way through without much trouble, slicing down every cultivator who stood in his path.
When he glanced to the side, he saw enemies screaming, their eyes burst by pebbles that flew like bullets.
Behind him, Simone wore a deadly serious expression and shouted:
“All inhumans must die. And it starts with their sight!”
She’s completely lost it… Aconé thought, staring at her in disbelief.
Four enemies suddenly surrounded him and rushed in.
He leveled his saber horizontally. Flames erupted along the blade.
Broken Dimension Art – Slicing Flames.
One single spin. The blade traced a perfect circle. Those the steel missed were still cut in half by the trails of fire that followed.
Too easy. he thought, and stepped inside the abbey.
It’s… way bigger on the inside than it looked from outside.
While exploring, he found a door leading downward.
Staying on guard, he slowly descended the stairs.
He emerged into a huge training hall. His gaze locked onto a man who started grinning the moment he saw him.
“No way… Fate is on my side today. I, Rezu, finally get to take revenge on the bastard who tried to burn me alive!”
A deep, burning irritation clawed at Aconé’s throat. Flames flickered across his back.
Face twisted in fury, he glared at the man he was certain he had killed.
“…You… you had the water affinity card.”

Cold and dry.
“That’s right,” Rezu answered with a dramatic smirk. “How else could I have survived? You were about to commit murder, you know that? And kill an innocent on top of it! What would my fans have done without… their brilliant creator, author, artist?”
The flames that had started on Aconé’s back now spread over his entire body.
“You… this time I won’t miss.”
He breathed the words like poison.
…………
At the same moment, upstairs.
Simone kept up her massacre with terrifying precision. Eyes exploded one after another before her telekinetically controlled iron bar finished the blinded victims.
Hikiri was dancing with his new art.
The Dance of the Invisible Art. A ridiculous name, yet insanely lethal.
Every step, every twist: a head flew or a torso split open. The wind from his blade extended the cutting edge far beyond the steel itself. His attack angles were those of a ghost—no human should be able to strike from there. His feet never stopped moving.
Beside him, Darlius flowed like living water, unpredictable and fluid, leaving a trail of corpses.
Dina emerged from the shadows, slashed with her darkness-forged saber, then vanished again.
A few minutes later, the air stank of iron and blood. The floor was painted dark crimson.
Hikiri caught his breath and looked around. He spotted Asti standing among three bodies, covered in fresh scars but alive.
Kurdes walked into the abbey alone.
Hikiri grabbed Darlius by the arm and whispered:
“Be careful. Something big is coming. I’m going to get Tony.”
He glanced at Dina, then followed Kurdes inside.
………
Inside the abbey, in a corridor near the entrance.
The group was abruptly stopped by Zina.
“Enough pretending. There are spies from Kurdes’ sister among the prisoners. Show yourselves—we’re settling this now.”
Darlius narrowed his eyes, instantly suspicious of everyone.
Dina was already poised to rip out throats.
That’s when Galion, Lusus, Manigo, and Velio struck the floor at the same time.
The ground shattered. Everyone fell.
Velio burst into hysterical laughter, clapping his hands.
“Finally this island’s gonna get fun! Lady Liara wasn’t lying. The four of us are rank seven and eight. And that’s without the crazy twins waiting downstairs, plus two more. Like your friend said—let it begin!”
A monstrous blast of wind from him sent people flying in every direction—some alone, some in pairs.
Simone, clinging to her floating iron bar, landed gracefully.
She looked around: an ancient prayer hall, high vaulted ceilings, shattered stained-glass windows.
“Hey there…”
A voice whispered right in her ear.
For the first time, she drew her actual sword and slashed at empty air.
“Behind you.”
She spun around.
A man. Easily three meters tall. Deathly pale. Two enormous battle axes resting on his shoulders.
“You’re not human,” Simone stated.
He crossed his arms. “And yet I am.”
“Don’t talk nonsense. Even those damn cannibals look more human than you. You’re a monster straight out of a nightmare.”
The man said nothing at first. Thick veins throbbed on his bald skull.
A vicious grin spread across his face.
“You… I’m going to kill you. And I’ll make your corpse look just like me.”
Simone stared at him with pure contempt.
“Come on then, inhuman. Try it.”
At the same moment, in a nearby hall.
Zina and Sys stood face to face with the twins, Hurry and Plasdors.
