Chapter 1076 - 929: Do You Remember?

The past times were happy, time flew by, and in the blink of an eye, Zhang Zhentian and Xia Jing had been married for over a month. During this time, Zhang Zhentian almost spent every day nurturing his relationship with Xia Jing, but despite this, Xia Jing still hadn’t gotten pregnant with Zhang Zhentian’s child. "Zhentian, why don’t you take Xia Jing to the hospital for a check-up today? It’s been so long, and there’s not a peep from her belly. I really don’t know what’s going on with you two!" Old Master Zhang followed Zhang Zhentian around like a shadow, nagging non-stop, even trailing him to the bathroom.

"Dad, you’re even following me to the bathroom," Zhang Zhentian said helplessly, having reached the bathroom door and turned to see his dad still right behind him.

"So what? It’s not like I’ve never seen it before; I even helped you wash your pants when you were a kid. What’s the big deal?" Old Master Zhang replied nonchalantly, not understanding what Zhang Zhentian meant.

Zhang Zhentian felt exasperated and said to Old Master Zhang, "Dad, that was when I was a kid. I’ve grown up now, and with you following me, don’t you know it makes me feel really awkward?"

Old Master Zhang didn’t understand what was so awkward for Zhang Zhentian. He had seen it before, so why should it be awkward now?

"Alright, alright, you go use the bathroom first, and I’ll wait for you outside. I can wait until you come out to continue talking, or I can also talk to you while you’re in there..." Old Master Zhang thought he was clever to come up with such a good solution on the spot, almost like a genius brain, but it left Zhang Zhentian feeling at a loss.

"Dad, please just wait until I come out before you continue talking!" Zhang Zhentian thought to himself that once he went in, he’d lock the door from the inside, so by then, Old Master Zhang wouldn’t be able to come in. But if he also didn’t come out, maybe his dad would eventually get bored of waiting and leave.

Zhang Zhentian thought his plan was not too bad, so he stayed in the bathroom for over an hour. Looking through the glass door, he saw Old Master Zhang’s silhouette still outside and asked, "Dad, why haven’t you left yet?"

"I’m waiting for you to come out so I can continue talking. Ah, forget it, I’ll just talk to you like this since I also have other things to do..." Old Master Zhang started rattling off a bunch of things again, overwhelming Zhang Zhentian, and he quickly interrupted his father.

"Dad, I know, I’ll definitely go to the hospital for a check-up today, so don’t worry. Don’t you have other things to do? You should hurry and go take care of those!"

As long as he heard Zhang Zhentian agree to go for the check-up, Old Master Zhang was satisfied, nodding before leaving. Zhang Zhentian was relieved that Old Master Zhang finally left.

He heard the sound of the door closing and knew his dad had left the house. Zhang Zhentian came out of the bathroom and dashed upstairs to find Xia Jing.

"Honey, time to get up, the sun’s already shining on your butt!" Zhang Zhentian called out to Xia Jing flirtatiously. During the past month, Xia Jing hadn’t come clean about that stranger, so Zhang Zhentian relentlessly teased her, each time ending with Xia Jing falling asleep. He also began to wonder why there hadn’t been any developments after so long; something didn’t seem right, causing both Zhang Zhentian and Old Master Zhang to overthink.

"Stop it, can’t you let me and your son get some good rest?" Xia Jing mumbled drowsily. At first, Zhang Zhentian was confused by her words and didn’t understand what she meant, but soon he caught on.

"Xia Jing, what did you just say?" Zhang Zhentian questioned Xia Jing.

Xia Jing suddenly awoke from her sleep with a shock. She had been keeping this matter a secret, telling no one. A few days ago, she started feeling unwell and her period was over ten days late, which she found unusual. So, she secretly went to get checked at the hospital but deliberately didn’t tell Zhang Zhentian or Old Master Zhang, wanting to give them a surprise at the right moment. But she hadn’t expected to accidentally blurt it out in her sleep!
