Chapter 378: You Don’t Think You Deserve a Trending Topic?
Chapter 378: You Don’t Think You Deserve a Trending Topic?
...
"Mrs. Jorgansen..."
Before Evan could finish his words, Margaret sat back on the sofa.
She sat there gracefully, and her gaze fell on the television screen.
"Whether he comes back or not has nothing to do with me. Sleep wherever he likes."
Then she added, "Those who commit incest will be punished."
Evan was speechless. He thought Margaret was overthinking this.
"Evan, I am hungry."
Margaret said indifferently. Evan couldn’t tell her emotions from her voice. He responded, "I’ll prepare food for you right away."
Margaret nodded and said with a look of indifference, "Call Julian and ask him to come back and eat the leftovers. We can’t waste food."
Evan didn’t know what to say.
This was a bad excuse. Was Mr. Jorgansen too poor to buy food?
"I got it, Mrs. Jorgansen."
Evan did not dare to provoke her. She was burning with anger in her heart now.
Evan could only call Julian as she told. He paraphrased her words for Julian, waiting
to be scolded...
Fortunately, Julian only paused for a moment before saying, "Got it."
After Evan had made the call, Margaret was satisfied. When the food was served, she took a few bites and sat on the sofa again.
She was sitting in a dignified and elegant manner.
Others could see her nobility at a glance.
Julian was standing outside the private room of a high-end clubhouse.
After he hung up the phone, Jessie took it and said cutely, "Julian, is it Margaret? She must be worried about you. But she has to understand that you have lots of social engagements."
There was a faint smile on Jessie’s little face. She smiled and stared at Julian with her pretty eyes.
She was attending the class reunion when she met Julian here. Then she got to know that his phone was out of battery.
She did not know who Julian was speaking with, but she could guess from the gentleness on his face.
She clenched her fists behind her back while she smiled sweetly.
"Julian, I can spend some time with Margaret. She must be very lonely and upset at home. After all, she just married you. But your engagement tonight is very important."
Jessie said gently and considerately as she glanced at the tightly closed door behind Julian.
Julian pursed his lips and said in a cold voice, "It’s just a dinner party."
Saying that, he was about to walk out. Jessie asked, "Julian, are you going home now?"
How could he walk away from such an important dinner party just because of a call from Margaret?
Jessie surveyed him with her bright eyes.
He became more and more indifferent to her.
He used to care about her like a brother. But now things had changed.
He changed because of Margaret.
He was gentle and nervous when he faced Margaret.
Jessie bit her lips and whispered with wandering eyes, "Julian, I am a little drunk. Can you drive me home first?"
Julian turned around and looked at Jessie. She didn’t know what was on his mind.
Jessie gripped the phone and lowered her head. "I’m sorry to trouble you. I can’t find anyone else to send me back. My driver’s wife suddenly gave birth, so I asked him to go back. I planned to take a taxi myself, but I am afraid of being alone. Anyway, you don’t have to send me back."
Just as Jessie finished speaking, Julian stretched out his hand.
He had long fingers, and his hand was both powerful and beautiful.
Although it was improper to describe him as beautiful, she could not deny that he was the most beautiful person she had ever seen.
He just stood there and caught everyone’s attention.
He didn’t need to curry favor with anyone.
He had no desire for the Jorgansen family’s property. He longed for freedom. That was why he would give everything to the woman he loved.
Jessie knew him so well. They had grown up together and she had accompanied him for so many years.
Jessie looked at him doubtfully. She didn’t know what he meant by stretching out his hand. She hesitantly reached out her own hand.
"Give me your phone."
Hearing what he said, she pretended to brush away the stray hair by her ear with her hand.
"I can go back by myself. Don’t worry about me."
Jessie bit her lip as she spoke.
No one knew why her eyes were so sparkling right now.
She looked delicate and attractive.
"I’ll get someone to send you back."
Julian took her phone and called Alan.
Jessie watched as he calmly called his assistant and returned the phone to her.
From the beginning to the end, he did not care about her at all.
"Julian, are you going back? We are going in the same direction."
"Wait here for a while and Alan will send you back. Don’t get drunk next time."
As Julian walked away, Jessie looked up at him and said, "Julian, are you worried about me?"
Julian narrowed his eyes and replied, "Sally will worry about you. It’s dangerous for a girl to get drunk."
Jessie put on a smile as pure as snow.
She nodded and said softly, "I won’t get drunk anymore. Please tell Margaret I am sorry. Last time I said the wrong thing. I want to apologize. Julian, can you tell me what she likes? I want to buy her a gift, but I don’t know what to buy."
What did Margaret like?
She liked Money!
"She likes lipsticks and clothes," Julian replied. Margaret liked everything that a woman would like.
Julian thought for a moment and wore a smile. Margaret was such a vulgar woman!
...
When Julian smiled, it seemed as if the breeze brushed exceptionally gentle petals, which was mixed with an alluring fragrance.
Jessie became serious and smiled more bitterly.
Jessie answered obediently in a soft voice, "Got it. Thank you, Julian."
Julian turned around and left, leaving behind the lonely figure of Jessie in the long corridor. She quietly stared at the closed elevator.
Julian had changed a lot.
Men were fickle-minded. As long as they met new girls, they could casually discard the old ones.
They would probably never pay attention to the old ones.
"Why did Julian love her? Because of her family background?" Jessie muttered.
Jessie’s question gently echoed in the corridor, which was swallowed up by the thick carpet. No one responded to her at all.
The car drove into the villa, straight down the long cement road, until it stopped at the gate of the villa. Evan hurried out of the house to welcome.
Seeing Julian, Evan seemed to sigh in relief.
Finally, he could stop serving Mrs. Jorgansen. As expected, Mr. Jorgansen had the ability to deal with her.
"Mr. Jorgansen, you’re back. Mrs. Jorgansen has been waiting for you."
Julian glanced at the dark window upstairs. It was obvious that no one was waiting for him. He had to look at the bright first floor and come in calmly.
Evan hurriedly followed him, speaking to Julian in front of the door, "Mrs. Jorgansen is still awake. She just ate something. She seems to be in a bad mood."
Julian stopped for a while. He wondered, "How could Margaret be in a bad mood?"
He thought Margaret was heartless.
"Got it. Let others have a rest. You can leave now."
Sure enough, when Mr. Jorgansen came back, they all could take a break.
Evan left without hesitation.
On the sofa, the woman moved her stiff posture and frowned, "My waist is stiff. But Julian hasn’t been back. He loves playing outside too much!"
Margaret moved her body and buried herself into the sofa.
Too tired, Margaret would not pretend any longer!
"You are watching TV series. Or are you especially waiting for me?"
Julian suddenly reached from behind her. Margaret was shocked and intended to give him a slap.
But as expected, her hand was stopped in mid-air. Julian reacted easily to grab her wrist, preventing her from launching an attack.
Julian easily pulled Margaret into his arms. He looked down and said in a deep voice, "You want to kill your husband?"
"How could you suddenly appear behind me? I am shocked!" Margaret had just rolled her eyes at Julian when he kissed her. "You are waiting for me!"
Margaret chose to pass over the kiss. She glared at Julian and said, "No! I’m just watching TV series."
Margaret freed herself from Julian and sat back on the sofa. Before she could sit well, Julian’s suit fell on her head.
Julian smiled flirtatiously and said, "Stop pretending. I have seen how you behaved just now."
After that, he looked at Margaret, who was muttering to herself, which he showed no interest in. He directly said, "Besides, I have seen however you looked even when you were naked."
"Shut up!"
Margaret rose from the sofa immediately and looked around vigilantly.
"Stop saying like that. Otherwise, I will sleep in the guest room tonight."
Julian glanced at Margaret’s cheeks that turned red from excitement. He then calmly replied, "Fine!"
Margaret felt offended by the reply.
Margaret glared at him with dissatisfaction, finding that Julian sat at the table. He did not mind the leftovers on the table and began to eat.
"Julian, how come, the trending topic?"
Margaret thought of her intention and immediately became angry.
She thought, "Why didn’t they blur my face on the headline?"
"A trending topic? The Jorgansen Group has no interest in that."
Margaret complained, "You said as it were true.
"You are just fooling me. How could the news of our marriage create a buzz? Even if
it’s the alliance between the Anderson Group and the Jorgansen Group, this kind of news is not a bombshell. How can it be in the first place on the hashtag? Did you hype it up?"
"Yes!"
Julian looked up and fixed his eyes on her face.
He admitted it without even struggling.
"Why did you do that?" Margaret was so angry that she wanted to throw the bowl on Julian’s face.
Julian thought, "She viewed her as a social media star? The Jorgansen Group has no need to stir up public opinion."
Julian took a mouthful of the cold dishes and calmly said, "Don’t you think I deserve a trending topic?"
Margaret, "..."
"Alright, as you want a trending topic, you may spend the Jorgansen Group’s money. But why did my photos show up there?"
As Margaret decried, she could not help pointing at her face. "We have agreed that my face will be blurred if the marriage has to be exposed for the sake of the stock. But you break your word so that now everyone in the country knows that I am Ms. Anderson and Mrs. Jorgansen? How can I get married in the future?"
As she said, Margaret felt more and more wronged and angry.
Margaret glared at Julian and thought, "It was all his fault."
A mischievous smile appeared on Julian’s indifferent expression.
Julian became serious and his eyes were filled with hatred. He stared at anxious Margaret and asked, "You don’t deserve a trending topic?"
Margaret, "..."
"Julian!"
She was going crazy. She was very anxious and detested Julian.
"It’s not shameful for me to marry a woman. As for your concern..."
Julian looked up to Margaret, smiling even more triumphantly.
The man suddenly stood up and pulled Margaret into his arms.
"Don’t worry. I just solved it for you."
Julian stroked Margaret’s fringe and looked at her smooth and full forehead. He suddenly smiled. "Are you dissatisfied with me or Mrs. Jorgansen’s identity?"
"Both."
Margaret angrily swept his hand away. She flushed because of her anger. She endlessly murmured her grievances with her alluring lips.
"You know that we got married because of interests. You exposed me without my permission. You’ve gone too far."
After that, Margaret added angrily, "You don’t respect your partner."
"Partners..."
Julian repeated the word several times, and then he smiled mischievously.
That smile was sinister and terrifying, sending shivers down my spine down Margaret’s spine.
"Since you don’t think that I respect you, you have to bear the marriage!"
