Mr. Tycoon's Beloved Wife: The Madam No One Dares to Offend

Chapter 377: We Can Have Another Baby

Chapter 377: We Can Have Another Baby

...

Bruce held Hilla in his arms as he looked up and saw Horton slowly walking over. Bruce said calmly, "Welcome back."

The trip didn’t seem to go well. Bruce just tightened his arms around Hilla. "Are you hungry? Let’s go home. Mother prepared your favorite dishes."

Bruce looked down and gently fiddled with Hilla’s hair behind her ear with a gentle smile.

He hadn’t seen her for many days. He missed her so much.

As his grip on her hand tightened, she smiled and nodded slightly.

Bruce looked up at Horton and greeted, "Come with us to have dinner."

Hilla and Halle got in the car first. After a long trip, they felt tired.

Sitting in the car, they found it more comfortable than usual.

It was hot in River City. The sunshine would do harm to their skins if they stood outside.

Horton and Bruce put down their luggage. Then, Horton turned around and said, "What I want is more than a meal, Bruce."

They fell silent, and Horton forced a smile.

Compared to Horton’s ease, Bruce was gloomy and cold.

Bruce’s eyes were as cold as ice.

Horton felt a chill down his spine.

After a while, Bruce wore a smile and said in a husky voice. "You must be busy with your work in the hospital, Horton." Bruce’s words froze Horton.

Horton became awkward. He pursed his lips and said in a low voice, "You’re so stingy!"

Bruce smiled and casually said, "After so many years, you should know what kind of person I am. It seems that I overestimated you."

Horton was speechless. He didn’t want to talk with this rich guy.

It was true that rich people were all unreasonable.

Ignoring Bruce, Horton got into the car.

Hilla felt overjoyed on the way to the Anderson’s mansion.

At the thought of returning home, Hilla realized that this trip was nothing but a homeless wandering without any hope.

Not everyone would like to travel, and traveling could not bring freedom and happiness.

She had a family, from which she gained freedom and love.

As they were getting closer and closer, Hilla was excited.

She had only traveled for less than a month, but for her, it seemed to be a very long time.

As the saying went, fallen leaves returned to the roots.

She was like a wandering leaf, and her family was her root.

At the entrance of the mansion, Orlenna was waiting outside with the twins playing around.

The servant followed closely behind the twins, afraid that they would fall.

Orlenna looked in Hilla’s direction. When she saw their car, she smiled and quickly asked the servant to open the door.

As soon as Hilla got off the car, she ran to the two little guys.

After a pause, the twins rushed into her arms.

"Welcome back. You must be exhausted from the journey. It’s too hot. Let’s go inside."

Orlenna was worried about Hilla. She asked the servant to wash the twins, and then she told Hilla, "Go back to your room and take a shower. Don’t get heatstroke on such a hot day."

After that, Orlenna looked at Halle and smiled, "I just asked them to pick up Emily. Let’s have dinner here tonight. I’ll ask the cook to prepare those children’s favorite food."

Halle was very grateful for Orlenna’s kindness. She was also glad that Hilla had such a gentle and kind mother-in-law.

Hilla’s marriage was an exchange of interests at the very beginning.

But now, the Andersons treated Hilla very well.

Orlenna went to the kitchen, while Halle and Hilla went upstairs to take a bath.

When they went downstairs again, they heard the laughter of those children.

As the elder sister, Emily took good care of her two little brothers. She taught them, "My mother will give birth to little babies. You will be elder brothers soon. You must give your toys to them."

The two little guys looked up and listened carefully, in the next second, they handed over their toys to Emily.

They were willing to do as Emily told.

Seeing Halle, Orlenna said happily, "Recently, you have been worried about Horton, but now he has come back safely. And he just told me you’re pregnant. So, I prepared a big dinner for you."

Halle smiled shyly, "Lately I’ve suffered from morning sickness. My appetite is not so good."

Orlenna had prepared a big dinner for Halle, but Halle was worried she would not be able to eat a single bite.

"I understand. Hilla also suffered from morning sickness at that time. You need to take care of yourself. Eat as much as you can. But if you don’t feel like eating, don’t force yourself."

Halle nodded and felt very moved.

The family sat together and ate dinner. With the children, the house seemed to be lively.

Hilla listened to their conversations while eating. Suddenly, Bruce caught her legs under the table.

Hilla was stunned. Before she could react, Bruce picked up a piece of braised pork and placed it in her bowl.

"I know you are not used to the food outside. This is your favorite food."

Hilla looked up and met Bruce’s gentle smile. She froze as she watched his performance.

"Honey, help yourself."

Bruce said as he placed more food in Hilla’s bowl.

He looked serious. Only Hilla could feel his feet touching her legs under the table.

He was flirting with her.

Hilla straightened her back and looked at Bruce stiffly.

She frowned slightly and said, "You’re so bad!"

Bruce smiled. He was more than bad...

...

"Your trip to Toulon was in a hurry. I bet you didn’t have time to enjoy the scenery there. What a pity! The cherry blossoms must be very beautiful!"

Orlenna chatted with Halle happily.

Because of the family reunion, they had a good appetite and felt relaxed.

Halle smiled and nodded. "I wasn’t feeling well, so I stayed in the hotel all day long. But Hilla went to a nearby park and brought back some cherry blossoms. It was a pity that they faded very soon."

Orlenna said, "If you like it, Horton can buy a yard and plant a cherry blossom tree for you."

As she spoke, she looked at Hilla, "Hilla, do you like it?"

Hearing this, all of them looked over. Halle frowned and reminded Hilla, "Hilla, what’s wrong? Why is your face so red?"

Hilla had taken good care of Halle for the past few days. Halle wondered, "Did Hilla get sick because she was too tired?"

Orlenna cast a glance at Hilla. Then she looked at Bruce and said angrily, "Shame on you!"

Nothing could escape Orlenna’s eyes on the table.

She knew at a glance that Bruce was flirting with Hilla.

Hilla was embarrassed. Now that Orlenna had exposed Bruce, Hilla blushed and accidentally knocked over the bowls and chopsticks beside her. They stained her pants.

"Are you alright? Did you get scalded?"

Halle checked Hilla’s legs in panic. When she saw what was going on under the table, she froze in embarrassment and looked away.

Hilla struggled to free her legs and glared at Bruce.

With a red face, she was too embarrassed to look at Orlenna. She could only say, "Excuse me. I have to get changed."

As she spoke, she grabbed Halle’s arm. "Halle, come with me."

She felt too ashamed to face others. How could Bruce do that in front of all of them?

"OK."

Halle came to herself and followed Hilla upstairs.

At the dinner table, Horton pretended to know anything and continued to eat.

Bruce kept calm with his eyes lowered.

Orlenna snorted and said angrily, "Why are you so horny? You can’t even wait until we finish dinner. If you are so needy, why didn’t you have kids earlier?"

Bruce looked up and said, "But you already have two grandsons."

Orlenna was speechless.

She thought, "Don’t you know you’ve lagged behind?"

She said to Bruce, "Without me, how could you marry Hilla? You contributed nothing but a sperm."

"Two sperms!"

Horton couldn’t help but laugh.

He nearly broke his bowl. He quickly leaned to the side and stayed away from Bruce and Orlenna.

"People around your age all have several kids. Their youngest kids have attended kindergarten now. Can you compare with them?"

Bruce frowned as he picked up the bowl and ate.

He said casually, "Mother, be patient. Hilla’s children were delivered by Caesarean section. She needs another two years to recover from it. But you can count on Margaret to have kids."

Horton thought Bruce must be a glutton for punishment.

Just as Bruce finished speaking, Orlenna reached out her chopsticks.

She said angrily, "If you don’t want another child for now, what were you doing just now? Why can’t you let Hilla eat first? Are you crazy?"

Bruce leaned back and dodged Orlenna’s chopsticks. Orlenna pretended to raise her hand as she coughed uneasily and sipped the soup.

She muttered, "Margaret has been married for almost a month. Why hasn’t she got pregnant?"

Horton was speechless.

He said in a low voice, "Orlenna, be patient."

Orlenna pursed her lips. "Margaret is not in a hurry. But can the Jorgansens wait?"

As she spoke, she rubbed her eyebrows. "I am worried that Margaret couldn’t deal with the Jorgansens."

She knew well about Margaret.

Margaret was restless. If the Jorgansens wanted to make things difficult for Julian, they were bound to push Margaret.

Just the thought of it gave Orlenna a headache.

"Margaret seems careless, but I don’t think the Jorgansens dare to bully her."

After all, the Anderson family would back Margaret up. It was Julian who needed help.

But the Jorgansen family would also benefit from the marriage between Julian and Margaret.

Bruce slowly finished his meal and said, "Don’t worry, Margaret will not be bullied."

Horton laughed. "Margaret is not the kind of person to bite the bullet."

Margaret seemed to be an innocent young lady, but she had grown up in the Anderson family.

She did not like to play tricks, but she had tricks up her sleeve.

Orlenna waved her hand and changed the topic. She turned to look at Bruce and said in a bad mood, "Behave yourself!"

If Bruce had done that elsewhere, he would have been regarded as a hooligan.

Orlenna went upstairs angrily. Horton smiled as if he was watching a good show. "You really have to be careful. Even if you miss Hilla, you should consider Hilla’s situation. She is a shy girl."

Hearing this, Bruce’s cold gaze landed on Horton’s face.

He kept staring at Horton and forced a smile.

That smile was so weird that Horton felt a chill down his spine.

It turned out that Horton’s words had irritated Bruce.

"Anyway, it’s none of our business. However, as a doctor, I have an advice for you. Take care of yourself."

With that, Horton quickly got up to look for Emily.

He went outside to wait for Halle. He had nothing to talk about with Bruce, a lonely man who had missed his own wife.

After Hilla changed her clothes, she met Halle’s gaze.

Thinking of what happened before, Hilla blushed and whispered, "Halle, what do you think of this dress?"

Halle pretended to cough, trying to hide her awkwardness.

"It’s good. But I’m exhausted by the journey. Horton and I should take Emily back early. You and Bruce should also have a good rest."

When Halle realized what she had said, she was more than awkward. Being the third wheel was a horrible thing!

...

While Halle left with Emily and Horton as quickly as she could, Hilla turned around and looked at Bruce awkwardly.

Bruce leaned against the bedside with a laptop in his hand.

He seemed to be reading some documents, but...

"Do you like this one? Red suits your complexion very well."

Bruce placed the laptop in front of her and showed her the latest female pajamas.

The pajama was made of gauze. Wearing it, one would feel naked.

Hilla blushed once more. She said angrily but shyly, "No way."

"What’s wrong with it? The style or the color?"

Hilla was speechless.

Bruce said it so seriously that she nearly thought he was talking about business. "Black? Blue? How about this pink one...?"

"Bruce, stop. Halle saw you flirt with me just now." Thinking of this, Hilla felt ashamed and annoyed. It was so embarrassing that Halle had seen it.

Not to mention that they were caught and exposed by Orlenna on spot. Although they were her family, wasn’t it still embarrassing?

However, the man who was to blame was now choosing pajamas for her. How shameless he was!

He didn’t consider her situation at all.

"Oh, what did Halle see?"

Bruce shifted his gaze from the screen to Hilla.

Hilla said angrily with a blushing face, "How could you not know it? She saw you rub my feet under the table ... Can’t you restrain yourself a little? It’s so embarrassing."

Although she really missed him, she couldn’t help but feel embarrassed.

Bruce put down the laptop and pulled her over.

Hilla fell into Bruce’s arms and wrapped her arms around his neck. She pursed her lips unhappily and said, "Mother saw it, too."

How could she face Orlenna later?

"Relax. You’re my wife. They know it well."

Bruce kissed Hilla’s cheek gently.

The atmosphere became intimate.

As he got closer to Hilla, he knew clearly how much he had missed her. Hilla rubbed her head against his chest in a spoiled manner, "Nonsense." "Mother won’t blame us. She even counts on us to bring her a granddaughter." Hilla looked up and exclaimed, "Why is she in such a hurry?" "She already has two grandsons. Doesn’t she find it tiring?"

It was indeed a demanding job to take care of children. Before Hilla had children, she had thought children were as cute as angels.

But now she started to feel that children were in fact demons.

Every time she took care of the twins, she lost her patience very quickly.

Without Orlenna, Hilla wouldn’t be able to take good care of her children.

She didn’t know how to take care of them. She had wasted her time on those parenting classes.

"Maybe we should do as she told."

Bruce leaned over with his hand reaching for the drawer.

Hilla knew he was just kidding. It had been less than a year since she gave birth. How could she be pregnant again so quickly?

She laughed and leaned against him like a spoiled child. "You’ve worked so hard. If you really want another baby, why don’t you...?"

"What?"

Bruce’s eyes were filled with lust.

He stared at Hilla, as if he would eat her up.

Hilla put on a sly smile. "Go to Cookie’s doghouse and take a baby dog back."

Since Halle moved her studio to River City, Cookie and Lucky had been kept in the countryside.

Recently, Cookie gave birth to a nest of puppies. They weren’t Lucky’s babies, and Lucky felt very disappointed.

Bruce raised his eyebrows and said to Hilla head to head with a smile.

His voice was husky. "Of course I can bring a baby dog back, but ... we can still have another baby."

It was late at night, and there was a fragrance of roses in the air.

All was quiet and shrouded in the dim moonlight.

In Far City, the night was lively.

The lights in the house were still on. Margaret sat on the sofa and listened to the noise outside.

Margaret was watching TV when Evan brought fresh cherry. He glanced at Margaret and whispered, "Mrs. Jorgansen, Mr. Jorgansen just called. He said he would come back late tonight and you don’t have to wait for him."

Margaret turned her head and looked at Evan coldly. She snorted as she picked up the black tea on the table and took a sip. Then she said arrogantly, "Why would I wait for him?"

"Yes, but it’s getting late."

Tomorrow was the second day for her to go to work, so she couldn’t be late.

"I know. Leave me alone. I like this variety show very much. I’ll go to sleep after I watch it."

As soon as Margaret finished speaking, the variety show ended.

Evan felt awkward.

Margaret looked up and pretended to cough. "I also like the TV series that follows this variety show. I need to watch it before I fall asleep."

Evan nodded, "I’ll prepare some snacks for you, Mrs. Jorgansen."

Margaret nodded and asked, "When did Julian call? Why didn’t he send me a message?"

Evan replied, "Mr. Jorgansen’s phone is out of battery. He used Jessie’s phone."

"What?"

Margaret jumped up from the sofa. She put on a long face and stared at Evan. Evan felt a chill down his spine.

"It’s so late and he’s with Jessie? Is he going to stay out all night?"

Evan was so scared that he almost fell to the ground. Margaret looked very aggressive, as if she was going to eat him alive. Evan whispered, "Well, I have no idea. But Mr. Jorgansen didn’t mention that."

He wished Mr. Jorgansen could come back, or he would get into trouble!
