Mr. Tycoon's Beloved Wife: The Madam No One Dares to Offend

Chapter 342: Julian Is the Reacher

Chapter 342: Julian Is the Reacher

...

On the eve before the wedding!

Hilla and Halle were tiding up the wedding dress. Orlenna had been busy for so many days, and she finally had time to be with her grandchildren. Therefore, she carried the two babies outside the garden and played on the swing with Emily.

Margaret lay on the sofa and ate an apple. Tomorrow she would be a bride. However, she was not happy but angry when she thought of what happened in the wedding rehearsal yesterday.

Margaret took a bite of the apple. Noticing that Horton was asking others whether Emily looked like him in the yard, she rolled her eyes in disgust.

"I think Horton is insane."

It seemed that the doctor was also mental.

For the past two days, Horton was especially insane because he had been holding Emily and showing off to Margaret as if she did not have a daughter.

Although she didn’t have one now, she would have one in the future!

Hilla looked out through the window. Under the light, people gathered together.

Time marched on and her babies could stand on their own.

Halle smiled, so Hilla asked, "Horton is crazy. Does he know?"

Hilla didn’t make it clear, but Halle understood. Therefore, she nodded, "I told him two days ago."

Hilla smiled and breathed a sigh of relief, "I told you that since you are married, you don’t have to hide it from Horton. Anyway, whether you tell him, Emily will call him Daddy.

"But...Horton has overreacted."

Horton has been introducing Emily to others. Although they could understand his pleasure, Orlenna and Margaret were tired of hearing that.

Margaret and Horton had never been on good terms. Therefore, when Margaret got tiresome, she replied to him impolitely, "Is it amazing to call you Daddy? Emily will call him Daddy no matter who Halle marries."

Even if he married a wife and became a stepfather, did he need to be so proud?

Horton did not quarrel with Margaret but happily introduced, "Emily is my biological daughter."

Margaret rolled her eyes and replied bluntly, "You are insane!"

Halle checked all the dresses that Margaret was going to wear tomorrow before going to bed.

Today, the Anderson’s was festooned with lights and flowers everywhere and looked

especially festive. Tonight was destined to be sleepless.

Hearing Hilla’s words, Halle said with a smile, "He suddenly knew he has a child, so it’s probably freaking him out."

The smile spread wider over Halle’s face, and one could tell that she was very happy.

Hilla chuckled and teased, "It seems that you should tell him earlier so that you wouldn’t have to go to all the trouble. Anyway, the result is the same."

Hilla asked when she found Halle’s smile faded, "What’s the matter, Halle?"

"When I told him, he didn’t believe it. And when I showed him the paternity test result, he said that it is different."

Halle’s voice was a little soft with a sense of loss.

Although Horton finally believed her, she always felt a little disappointed.

She once thought that Horton would believe her without the paternity test result.

However, she found that it was so difficult.

It turned out that Horton always thought that Emily was her and someone else’s child.

Although the truth could not be changed and Horton believed it, there was some bad feeling.

Halle furrowed her eyebrows and said, "He seems to have seen another paternity test, but the result is different."

She was sure that Emily was Horton’s child. However, when Horton talked to her, she felt very awkward and always felt that he did not believe her.

Hilla raised her eyebrows and said with a smile, "It doesn’t matter whether he believes it or not. Anyway, he appreciates Emily."

Halle nodded, "I know that even if I don’t tell him, he will treat Emily well. But...we still want a second child."

Halle suddenly felt embarrassed.

She was afraid that Horton misunderstood it and preferred the second child, so she told Horton the truth. However, she knew that he wouldn’t.

"Halle, are you..."

Hilla looked at Halle’s belly in surprise. It had only been a short while since Halle got married, but Halle was pregnant again. Hilla thought that Horton was too efficient.

Halle blushed, quickly pulled Hilla, and shook her head.

"No, how can it be so fast? I think that he wants a second child, so...I’m preparing."

"What? Halle, are you having a baby?"

Margaret seemed to have suddenly heard something, so she stood up from the sofa, ran to Halle in her slippers, and touched Halle’s belly.

Margaret whispered, "No wonder Horton is so cocky. Halle, it is so fast. Horton becomes the father of two children!"

Halle looked embarrassed and immediately explained, "No, I’m not pregnant."

"You’re not pregnant!"

Margaret was stunned. Well, she also thought that Horton could not be more capable than Bruce when it came to having children.

Margaret nodded, touched Halle’s belly, and smiled, "OK, it’s no rush."

Hilla glanced at Margaret. Noticing her messy hair, Hilla quickly pushed her into the bathroom.

"Hurry up and take a shower. The makeup artist will come over in a few hours. You can’t delay any longer."

"Why should I not sleep for the whole night when I get married? Shouldn’t I have a bachelor party today?"

Margaret felt that she wasn’t a wealthy girl because she couldn’t splurge on what she liked.

"Didn’t we spend the night with you? What else do you want?"

Hilla raised the glass of milk and clinked her glass against Margaret’s.

Margaret looked at the milk and pouted unhappily, "People always drink wines at parties, but I can only drink milk."

Halle held back her laughter and said, "Drinking milk is good for the skin. You will wear such a beautiful wedding dress tomorrow, but do you want to have dark circles under your eyes?"

Hilla said, "I’m still breastfeeding, so I can’t drink wine."

Hilla’s reason was reasonable, so Margaret hummed and didn’t refute but glanced at Halle.

Halle quickly said, "I am preparing for pregnancy, so I can’t drink wine either."

Noticing Margaret’s displeasing gaze, Halle could only whisper, "I...I can’t drink too much, and there are many things to do tomorrow. If I drink little..."

"Halle, you’re the best!"

Margaret put down the milk, excitedly hugged Halle, and happily ran to the liquor cabinet.

Margaret thought it would be best if she was so shitfaced that she wouldn’t even be able to attend tomorrow’s wedding and then Julian could only perform the wedding ceremony alone!

...

After Margaret took out a bottle of red wine from the liquor cabinet, she poured Halle a glass of wine joyously, and then she lowered her head and took a sip of it.

"Good, it’s the claret, which is in the top twenty in Bruce’s collection."

Margaret did not dare to go to Bruce’s wine cellar to get the good wine because she was afraid of being beaten.

"You’ll be married tomorrow and you have to put on your makeup in a few hours, so you shouldn’t drink wine."

Hilla was worried that when Orlenna came in and saw Margaret drinking wine, Orlenna would tie Margaret up and throw her into the bridal car tomorrow, so Hilla glanced outside the door.

Margaret snorted in dissatisfaction and gulped down the wine. Halle frowned, feeling that Margaret was very unwise to drink wine. "Margaret, Mother is coming!"

Hilla saw Orlenna coming back from outside at a glance and reminded Margaret quickly.

When Hilla turned around again, she found Orlenna had entered the bathroom.

"Margaret goes to shower."

Hilla quickly said to Orlenna.

Orlenna nodded and looked at Halle as if she was hesitant to speak.

"Mother, what’s wrong?"

Noticing that Orlenna didn’t leave, Hilla could probably guess what Orlenna was thinking. And Halle also knew, so she said frankly, "Emily is indeed Horton’s child."

Orlenna was stunned and then said, "Emily looks like Horton."

It seemed that Orlenna was true that Emily was indeed related to Horton, but Orlenna didn’t expect that Halle could hide it from Horton for so long.

Halle and Emily had always been with them, but no one discovered it.

"No wonder Horton is so happy today. You guys are destined to be together. It seemed that Horton and you should get married when Emily is born."

When Emily was born, Horton did not know the truth but appreciated her so much. It must be a mystical bond between father and daughter.

Orlenna gave a regretful smile, "You miss out on this for so many years."

Halle pursed her lips and said, "It’s my fault. I took too much of his time."

Halle felt guilty because she did owe Horton a lot.

"Halle, it’s hard to tell who owes the other. The most important thing is that you can still be together in the end. I think that Horton is lucky enough to have such a beautiful and cute daughter."

Orlenna smiled with appreciation.

Orlenna was distressed by Horton’s encounter when he was young, but then she realized that people could not always take all prizes. If one had a rough time for a while, he might luck out in the future.

Noticing that Margaret had yet to come out of the bathroom, Orlenna knocked on the door and said angrily, "Hurry up and come out. It’s not good to take a bath too long."

Margaret replied impatiently, and then Orlenna muttered a few more words before leaving.

A few hours later, the wedding vendor rushed into the Anderson’s with the design team before daybreak.

In the dim light of night, Margaret was pulled out of bed. And then the makeup artist began to put on makeup for her.

"It’s so hard to get married. Can I not get married?"

Being pulled back and forth by someone, Margaret complained without opening her eyes, "If I had known that it would be so troublesome, I would have escaped."

"Margaret, wake up. Julian is on his way here in the limo."

Riya slept in the Anderson’s last night. Although the bed in the guest room was not as good as hers, she still slept soundly.

If the noises outside didn’t wake her up, Riya thought that she would be able to sleep until dawn.

However, when Riya realized that she could have such a good sleep because she was pregnant, Riya felt angry.

"Limo? It is only worth less than two million dollars, I guess. Do we lack this kind of cheap car?"

As soon as Margaret heard Julian, she immediately felt awake. She was like a cockfight that could go to the battlefield at any time. And she perked up and longed to tear him apart.

"Is limo a cheap car? If it were, could you buy one by yourself? This is a marriage between two families. Otherwise, I don’t think Julian will like you."

Riya looked at Margaret and teased.

Margaret was still so simple, so one could deceive her easily.

"He doesn’t like me? Why does he dislike me? I’m so pretty, sexy, gentle, and cute. I

don’t like him."

Margaret continued, "If it were not for the Andersons, I wouldn’t marry him."

Julian had helped the Andersons a lot when Bruce went missing, so he was considered as the savior of the Andersons.

Margaret wasn’t a selfish person, so she would repay him. "Come on. What’s wrong with Julian?" "Since he is fine, why don’t you marry him?" Margaret rolled her eyes and replied rudely.

Julian was not the best successor of the Jorgansen Group. With the status of the Marleys, if Riya married him, Julian was the reacher.

If Margaret married him, Julian was also the reacher.

Riya looked disappointed and sighed, "I want to marry him, but he doesn’t like me nor does he want to marry me."

Riya looked at Margaret and sniggered, "He only loves the stupid girl like you."

Although Margaret was bad- tempered, she was simple, ongoing, and kind. Riya could understand why Julian loved Margaret.

Margaret immediately glared at Riya in dissatisfaction. Just as she was about to retort, there was a happy voice coming from outside.

"Julian is coming!"

Julian came to pick her up at daybreak.

Margaret was going to marry Julian soon. What was more, she wouldn’t be a white-collar girl anymore but a beautiful young woman. Thinking of that, Margaret felt aggrieved.

Margaret once thought that she could stay young forever, but she couldn’t do it any longer.

Noticing that Margaret was still in a trance, Hilla pulled her up.

"Don’t sit there. Julian is coming in. Hurry up and get on the bed. We’ll clean up this place."

Margaret grabbed Hilla’s arm and asked nervously before Hilla could react, "Is it too late to escape now?"

Hilla was so angry by her words, so she replied rudely, "It’s too late. Why don’t you think about how to get off the car when you leave the house?"

Margaret was stunned for a moment, and then she quickly nodded, "You’re right. If I escape now, the Andersons will lose face. But if I flee after the wedding, it is the Jorgansens who lose face. Hilla, you are too smart. I have never thought of it."

Hilla thought she didn’t mean it!
