Chapter 330: That Is Impossible
Chapter 330: That Is Impossible
...
Hearing that Julian was going to kiss her, Margaret subconsciously closed her eyes.
The next second, she felt a soft touch on her lips. It was a light kiss. It felt like a gentle breeze brushing past the branches and the fingertips brushing past the tips of her hair. It was so tender that she was intoxicated.
The kiss was so brief and gentle. When he left, Margaret opened her eyes like a startled cat and pointed at Julian in disbelief. "You..."
Before she could finish her words, Julian bent forward again.
He firmly held the back of her head with one hand and held Margaret in his arms with another hand, making it impossible for her to avoid. When she opened her mouth, he kissed her deeply.
His hands bounded her to his body like two long chains. This kiss was not as gentle as the previous one.
Margaret was stunned for a moment. Then she reacted and began to struggle.
Julian didn’t want to come into conflict with her. He retreated as soon as she casually pushed him.
"Julian, you lied to me!"
"What?"
Julian wiped the corner of his mouth with his thumb. Looking at the lipstick on his hand, he felt slightly disgusted.
It tasted not as good as he had expected.
"You said that you won’t kiss me if I close my eyes."
Margaret flushed shyly and angrily. She wanted to slap him.
Julian seemed to have gained some experience. When he released her, he instantly kept a safe distance from her. She had no chance to retaliate.
"Really? I just said that I will kiss you if you don’t close your eyes, but I didn’t say that I won’t kiss you if you close your eyes.
"Besides, you asked me to kiss you, didn’t you?"
Julian’s calm tone was annoying.
He kept wiping the corners of his lips with his fingers. His expression did not look like that he felt disgusted, but more like he enjoyed the kiss.
"Nonsense! I didn’t ask you to kiss me!"
"You opened your eyes. Didn’t you mean that you want me to kiss you?"
Margaret was so angry that her face turned red. She wanted to trample and kick
him.
"You are a bastard! I didn’t mean that."
"Alright, I misunderstood."
Margaret felt like she had been teased.
Julian calmly adjusted the clothes that Margaret had wrinkled. "Hilla and the others have returned to River City. Let’s go back together tomorrow. Our mom and brother wanted to talk about our wedding with us."
"Our wedding? I just want to break the engagement with you," Margaret shouted. Their mom and brother? How could he be so shameless?
Margaret felt furious as soon as she thought that she would marry Julian. Then she would never get the chance to leave the Jorgansen family. She shouted as if she would win by that.
Julian turned around and walked towards the door, ignoring Margaret who was furious. He did not even think of comforting her.
He just said indifferently, "The annulment is not up to you."
Julian stopped at the door. His voice was calm, without any emotion. "Your kissing skill is too bad. Remember to brush your teeth before sleeping. It’s a little greasy."
Then he disappeared from the door.
The moment the door closed, the sound of a heavy object smashing the door could be heard.
Margaret’s shout of anger came out. "Julian, you are such a bastard. Why did you kiss me if you don’t like it? You say I’m bad at kissing. Alright. I also hate your kissing skill! It’s terrible!
"You went back on your words. You are despicable and shameless. It’s my first kiss!"
Hilla looked at the call record and frowned slightly. How did Margaret get along with Julian recently? It seemed to be not good.
She played her phone in boredom. She had just returned from outside and she was tired.
"Still not resting?"
Bruce put his arms around her from behind. Hilla turned around, hugged his waist, and pouted. "You’re done."
Smelling Bruce’s familiar smell of bathing, Hilla felt at ease.
Hilla felt his hand in her hair and obediently rubbed against his palm.
"We just returned. Aren’t you tired?"
Bruce touched Hilla’s cheek, leaned over to press his forehead against hers, and
kissed Hilla’s cheek.
Hilla blushed shyly and reached out to touch the place where he had kissed. She said sweetly, "You’re not tired, and I’m not. What’s so tiring about going out to play?"
That being said, she felt very tired the moment she returned. She felt most comfortable at home.
Bruce went to the company as soon as they returned to River City. When he came home, he had been in his study.
When they went out to play, he had many video conferences every day. However, that was when he was at his leisure.
"Rest early. I still have some things to deal with. I will come to accompany you later."
Hearing that Bruce had to work so late at night, Hilla hugged his waist and said, "If I had known that you were so busy, I would have spent a few more days outside with you.
"I can’t fall asleep without you. Can’t you work tomorrow?"
Hilla raised her head and stared at Bruce with bright eyes expectantly.
Bruce’s eyes were deep. He ran his hand down her cheek to her ear bone and then held the back of her neck. Then he kissed her.
They fell onto the bed. Hilla, who was pinned to the bed by Bruce, let out a somewhat uncomfortable groan.
Bruce sealed her mouth with kisses.
Their whispers were clear in the quiet room. The aromatherapy fragrance and the soft light made the air more romantic.
After the lovemaking, Hilla nestled in the quilt and watched Bruce standing by the bed put on his clothes again.
She held the quilt tightly, pursed her lips, and complained, "You are mine for the whole night when we are outside, but you don’t belong to me anymore when we come back."
Bruce tied the belt around his waist, leaned down, and kissed her red lips.
Smelling the refreshing fragrance, Bruce let out a groan and quickly stepped back.
If this continued, he wouldn’t be able to leave.
’A lover would warm the cockles of your heart’, as the saying goes. Bruce had a deep understanding of it. Indeed, he only wanted to sleep with Hilla and had no mood to work now.
"Alright, you can go now!"
Feeling Bruce’s hesitation, Hilla quickly let go of his hand and covered herself with the quilt.
She was joking just now. She was exhausted. If they did once more, she might die on the bed.
Although she was joking, Bruce didn’t want to leave now.
He lowered his head and kissed her ear. His hoarse voice was full of temptation. "I’m yours tonight."
Hilla thought, "It was already dawn!"
...
The sunlight of dawn shone gently on the bed through the gap in the curtains.
The room was full of warmth bathed in the morning sunlight.
The woman on the bed moved lazily. She put her white arms out of the quilt and rested them on the bed next to her.
Hilla touched the slightly cold sheet subconsciously, and then slowly opened her eyes.
Bruce, who had been lying beside her, had disappeared. There only left his lingering fragrance.
"Mrs. Anderson, are you awake?"
Linda asked carefully from outside the door. Hilla slowly walked towards the door with bare feet and opened it.
Linda smiled when she saw Hilla. "Mrs. Jorganse let you go downstairs and have breakfast together when you wake up. She also said that you just come back and must be very tired. You will be busy preparing for the wedding in the afternoon. So you don’t have to care about the dress code. Just wear what you like."
Hilla was moved by Orlenna’s love for her.
She felt miserable about losing her mother in the past, but she was treated and loved like a child by Orlenna.
"I see!"
Hilla responded, quickly changed her clothes, and went downstairs.
In the dining room downstairs, Orlenna was feeding the two little guys.
The servants could do such things, but Orlenna preferred to do them herself. No matter how busy she was, she cooked the children’s complementary food by herself.
"Mother, let me do it!"
Hilla stepped forward to take the bowl from Orlenna, but Orlenna dodged it.
"You don’t have to. I’ve dreamed of feeding my grandson many times. Even if I do this every day, I won’t get bored."
Hilla could only sit down at the table. Seeing the proposal and style of the wedding invitation sent by the wedding vendor on the table, she couldn’t help but ask, "When will Margaret be back?"
"Bruce has gone to pick her up. They will be home soon."
Orlenna teased with dissatisfaction, but she couldn’t help looking at the time.
Hilla nodded. After quietly eating breakfast and playing with the two little guys for a while, she heard a noise coming from outside.
Bruce and Julian came back. Hilla handed the little guy in her arms to Linda and went up to them.
"Where’s Margaret?"
Hilla’s gaze swept past Bruce. She looked towards the door, but she did not see Margaret.
Margaret’s voice usually could be heard from afar when she came back. Why was she so quiet today?
Bruce went forward and pulled Hilla aside, whispering, "Margaret jumped off the car and ran away on our way."
She ran away.
"You said she jumped off the car and ran away?"
Hilla was stunned and could hardly lower her voice. She glanced at Julian. No wonder he didn’t look so good when he came in.
Bruce glanced at the kitchen. He didn’t want Orlenna to know about it. Hilla understood Bruce. "I’ll go find her."
Bruce nodded. When Hilla walked past Julian, Julian said in a low voice, "Thank you for helping me."
Hilla looked at Julian and said with a smile, "Margaret is my sister-in-law. You take yourself too seriously as an outsider."
Hilla’s words carried a hint of ridicule, and she did have the intention of teasing Julian.
Seeing Julian’s unnatural expression, Hilla smiled brighter.
Julian probably didn’t realize that he had regarded Margaret as his possession. Hilla was happy to see that he cared about Margaret.
Hilla drove out and called Margaret.
Margaret answered the phone after a long while. Hilla asked anxiously, "Margaret, where are you? I will go over now."
"Don’t come over. I don’t want to see any of you now," Margaret said urgently.
She knew that Hilla wanted to bring her back.
It took her a lot of effort to get away from Julian. She wouldn’t go back even if she would die.
"Mother is still waiting for you at home. Do you think it okay not to come back?"
Hilla’s voice was calm and gentle. After giving birth to the child, even she didn’t realize that she seemed to be more and more mature. Now, she was unconsciously saying something that would annoy her in the past.
Margaret was silent for a few seconds on the other side of the line. Then, she whispered, "I know Orlenna wants to marry me out. But I am her daughter! How could she force me to marry Julian? He was such a bastard.
"I’m annoyed that she ignored my wishes like that."
Margaret continued to complain. "In any case, I won’t go back. If she forces me, I will become a nun."
"What nonsense are you talking about? There aren’t any nuns now. Even if there are, they will follow the customs of the country. You can still get married."
Hilla said in a soft voice. She didn’t understand why Margaret didn’t like Julian. Margaret said that she hated him. However, Hilla could see the light in Margaret’s eyes when she mentioned Julian.
Was she wrong? Didn’t Margaret like Julian?
"Anyway, no matter what you say, I won’t go back. I don’t want to be bullied by them anymore. Don’t think about looking for me."
"Margaret, your luggage is in the room. What do you want to eat for lunch?"
A familiar voice came from the phone. Hilla was stunned, but before she could speak, the call had been hung up.
Hilla saw the black screen and blinked. Was that Halle?
Half an hour later, Hilla appeared in front of Margaret. Seeing Hilla, Margaret said anxiously, "Don’t think about taking me back. I’ve thought it through. I would break off the engagement."
Margaret tightly hugged Halle beside her, as if she was hugging her last hope.
Halle felt a little uncomfortable being hugged so tightly by her. She looked at Hilla and said, "She might have some misunderstandings."
Hilla met Halle’s gaze and frowned slightly.
Was it related to her?
"I didn’t have misunderstandings of you. In any case, if I want to break off the engagement, the Anderson Group’s share will fall at most. Bruce can settle it."
Bruce was rich. Money was not an issue.
Hilla was more confused. She took a step forward and said, "Us? Is it me? Who made you misunderstand?"
"If I’m right, you must have misunderstood the relationship between Hilla and Julian!"
Halle slowly spoke. They had seen the answer from Margaret’s expression.
Hilla was stunned for a few seconds, and then she said in disbelief, "Are you misunderstanding Julian and me? How is that possible?"
She and Bruce had been married for a few years, and their children were half a year old.
They had some vague feelings in the past because they were young. However, they were only good friends now.
Why did Margaret think that she and Julian had an affair? How was that possible? She must be out of her mind!
