Chapter 329: I Will Kiss You
Chapter 329: I Will Kiss You
...
Horton looked at Bruce and said uncertainly, "Does Hilla look down on you?"
With a meaningful smile, Bruce gazed at Horton’s body and then looked away.
Horton felt that his smile was heavy with sarcasm.
Seeing Horton and Bruce not far away, Hilla pulled Halle’s sleeve.
"What are they doing? Are they going to fight?"
She felt that there was an unusual aura surrounding her.
Halle raised her head and glanced at them. Then she lowered her head and started to prepare for breakfast.
"Breakfast is almost ready. Go wake Emily up."
Seeing that Halle didn’t feel like talking about that, Hilla grumbled in her heart.
"What happened? Everyone looked bad. Did they have nightmares last night?"
During breakfast, Halle talked about returning to River City again.
Hilla secretly gazed at Bruce and whispered, "There are only several attractions that we haven’t visited. Should we go back after we finish visiting those attractions?"
In fact, she and Halle didn’t like those famous tourist attractions, nor did they like places with too many people. Instead, she felt free and more relaxed during the self-driving tour as she could stop everywhere she liked.
They didn’t need to go to those attractions that lots of people had gone to. They could get closer to these local customs and practices.
Although it wasn’t magnificent and romantic, this carefree and warm feeling washed away the restlessness they had felt in the city over the years.
"The studio just goes on the right path. This time we get a large order, which can repay some of the bank loans. I’d better go back."
Halle responded mercilessly. Most of the funds were loaned by her with her houses as the pledge. She didn’t take the card given by Hilla.
Halle knew very well that Hilla didn’t have any savings. She could accept the help of the Andersons, but she didn’t want to be a bottomless pit. She had to settle it by herself.
Hilla pursed her lips. Although she was reluctant to part with her, she still nodded, "Alright, Margaret is getting married soon. It’s good to go back and help them prepare in advance. Let’s pack up and leave the day after tomorrow, okay?"
She wanted to play for another two days.
Halle nodded and continued to quietly eat breakfast.
The two men beside her seemed to have lost the right to speak.
Bruce was indifferent. In any case, he would be tired. Horton glanced at Halle and did not say anything else.
The night before they returned to River City, Hilla was stunned when she saw Halle standing outside the car with a quilt in her arms. Then, she carried Emily in.
"Why are you all here?"
Didn’t that mean that Horton was alone?
"Mom said that it has been a long time since she chatted with you. She missed you so much, so she took me to sleep with you."
Emily happily took off her shoes and got onto the bed. Then, she patted the position beside her and said to Halle happily, "Mommy, sit here."
"Halle, what’s the matter?"
When Bruce returned later, how would she explain to him that he was kicked out?
Halle stood there and hesitated for a while. Then she was pulled in by Hilla. She blushed and said, "Hilla, shall we sleep together tonight?"
"Did you quarrel with Horton?"
Hilla was a little surprised. She knew Halle would not quarrel with Horton. At most, she would stay silent to show her grievance.
As expected, Halle shook her head in embarrassment.
She glanced at Emily and saw that she had begun to focus on the cartoon on TV. Then she said, "I think he must feel a little uncomfortable."
They had been out for so many days. Halle was worried so she would think like this.
Hilla nodded, took a yogurt for Emily, and then took Halle’s hand and said, "Sleep here tonight."
"Sorry for disturbing you and Bruce."
"Halle, what are you talking about? Just sleep here for one night. We will be back tomorrow."
Hilla blushed in embarrassment. It wasn’t so easy for her during the days with Horton. It was rather hard for her to get up every morning.
In the other limousine, Bruce, who had been kicked out, looked at Horton coldly. There were two beds. Fortunately, they did not have to sleep on the same bed. "It’s no use glaring at me. It was Hilla who kicked you out."
Horton emphasized his innocence. He did not know what he had done wrong. Halle had ignored him for two days.
Not only did she ignore him, but she and Emily moved away.
And Bruce moved in. He felt depressed. If he made a mistake, he could be punished by God. He didn’t want a man to lie beside him. That was torture to him.
"It is useless."
Bruce lay on the unfamiliar bed and closed his eyes expressionlessly.
Just one night. He would get this back.
By the time they returned to River City, it was already night.
Halle directly went back to the studio with Emily. Hilla glanced at Horton with sympathy and went back to her room to rest.
Just as she took a shower, the phone on the bed rang.
It was from Margaret. Hilla smiled, "The wedding is almost ready. Have you seen the elders of the Jorgansens?"
In the Jorgansen family, the elders took charge of all the major events. Although Julian was now in charge of the Jorgansen Group, the ones who truly held power were these elders.
Even if the marriage between them was set in stone, the wedding could be held with their consent.
Hearing this, Margaret put on a sulky expression.
Seeing this, Hilla asked, "Haven’t you seen them before? Will there be a problem with your wedding?"
If their marriage couldn’t get their consent, Julian had no way to hold the wedding successfully even if Margaret had a noble identity.
Margaret snorted. She was unhappy to hear the words "the Jorgansens". She said, "Why should I see those old men? If the marriage can’t go well, then I won’t get married."
Anyway, she was not in a hurry to get married. Now that the crisis of the Anderson family was over, it was better not to get married.
"Now everyone in River City knows that you are going to marry Julian. You are going to be part of the Jorgansen family. If you don’t get married, what if the Anderson Group’s shares fall tomorrow?"
With a small smile, Hilla was teasing Margaret.
"And if you don’t get married now, you will be at a disadvantage. Everyone thinks that you are Julian’s fiancée. But you get nothing."
After Hilla finished speaking, Margaret looked worse than before.
Hilla saw this and said, "If you marry Julian, he will be your husband and care about you."
Margaret smiled coldly. Her smile was a little similar to Bruce’s.
"Can Julian listen to me?"
At the door, Julian listened to Margaret’s anticipation for him and slightly frowned. He responded, "Of course not."
He was not blind. It would never happen!
...
Margaret turned around and saw Julian standing at the door. She frowned slightly.
Was Julian a ghost? He came out of her room in silence. And he appeared every time she spoke ill of him to Hilla.
She suspected that he had installed surveillance or eavesdropping devices in her room.
"What’s wrong, Margaret?"
Hilla asked uncertainly over the phone.
She felt strange that Margaret was silent as Margaret had kept complaining to her earlier.
"Nothing. A dog eavesdropped on me."
"What?"
Hilla was stunned for a moment, but soon she got it, "Is that Julian? If he is here, can I talk to him?"
Margaret frowned when hearing Hilla’s words.
Could she say no?
Unfortunately, before she could say no, Julian stepped forward and snatched the phone from her. He said in a gentle voice, "I am here."
Margaret looked up at Julian and gritted her teeth angrily.
He was so cold when he spoke to her, but he was so gentle when speaking to Hilla.
And he said that he didn’t have feelings for Hilla. She didn’t believe it at all.
They were so unscrupulous and "hooked up" in front of her. She couldn’t bear it.
She stepped forward to snatch her phone. But Julian turned his body slightly and raised his arm. She didn’t get the phone. Instead, she was in his arm.
Margaret was stunned when she felt his arm around her waist. Before she could push it away, he hugged her tightly.
Julian was hugging her!
Margaret stared at Julian’s calm face and hit his chest.
"I understand. Okay, see you tomorrow."
She didn’t know what Hilla said on the phone, but Julian responded and hung up the phone. Then he threw it onto the bed behind him.
But his arm was still around her waist. And he pinched her chin and slowly lowered his head to get close to her.
Margaret could feel his hot breath around her.
His warm and humid breath was going to melt her.
She intended to struggle but stayed quiet. Looking at his face that was gradually approaching her, she became very nervous and couldn’t move.
She suspected that Julian was doing this to ... seduce her.
"Are you very nervous?" Julian spoke calmly. His calm expression did not match the strength of his arm.
"I, I am not nervous."
"If you’re not nervous, why does your heart beat so fast? Is it a heart attack?"
Julian’s cold voice interrupted Margaret’s thoughts. She forcefully slapped away his hand that was pinching her chin and said guiltily, "What heart attack? I would die if my heart stops beating."
Feeling the thumping of her heart, Margaret told herself to calm down. She could not be knocked down by his handsome appearance. He had just hooked up with Hilla in front of her.
He was handsome but hypocritical. How could she like this kind of man?
That was superficial!
"Let go of me. Who allowed you to hug me like this?"
Margaret twisted her body and struggled. She was extremely uncomfortable in his arms. Julian didn’t give her safe feelings.
What she felt was only Julian was tarnishing her innocence.
How could she marry a person like this? Bruce was blinded by money, so he asked Julian to become her fiance.
What a tragedy!
"I hug my fiance. Do I need permission?"
"Who is your fiance? I will not marry you."
The Anderson family no longer needed her marriage to stabilize the company. If she broke off the engagement, shares of the Anderson Group would go down. But it was no big deal. Bruce was so rich. She could ask him for money.
Margaret was so desperate to break off the engagement.
Julian smiled faintly. His smile was weird.
"Was I OK when you called me a dog just now?"
Thinking that she had just said that a dog eavesdropped on me, he gave a bigger smile.
When she scolded him, did she think about her kids in the future?
"Did I scold you? Why can’t I remember? It was your imagination, right? Stop filling your head with foolish notions. It is a disease. You have to treat it!"
Margaret turned around with a guilty conscience. She didn’t expect him to have such good hearing. Even if she casually whispered to Hilla, he could hear that. He has good hearing. If he wasn’t a dog, what was he?
But she would never admit it even she had said those words.
She struggled to free herself but realized that she was being hugged even tighter.
Julian didn’t smile and looked expressionless. Margaret felt a little scared.
He looked so cold and angry.
"I didn’t realize that you were more eloquent after getting full."
After these years, she was still eloquent.
Margaret looked up, like a little bird with her head held high. She responded.
"Can’t I tell the truth? You have a disease. Are you afraid that others know it?"
Julian looked at her smug face in front of him. If she had a tail, she would swish her tail happily.
"I do have a disease!"
Julian said slowly. He looked at her with his dark eyes.
As he admitted it so easily, she felt that he had more than one kind of disease.
"I’m afraid you don’t know that my disease will cause a consciousness disorder and the nerves in my limbs will convulse slowly, causing unimaginable consequences."
Margaret frowned, "What does it mean?"
"To put it simply, it is a physical disorder. If my body does something to you, it must not be my intention. It is because of my disease. You have to understand me as a patient."
What?
Margaret looked at Julian in disbelief. He was a CEO of a finance company, not a doctor. Horton was a doctor, not him!
Julian’s gaze swept across her shocked face. Her plump and rosy lips were like a seductive temptation.
He lowered his head slightly and said in a gentle voice, "If you don’t close your eyes, I will kiss you!"
