Chapter 301: Her Blind Date
Chapter 301: Her Blind Date
...
Coming out of the bathroom, Hilla touched her red and swollen lips, as well as the conspicuous hickeys on the neck, and felt helpless.
Her bathrobe was pulled down to her shoulders. Bruce clearly took advantage of her.
He was in there canoodling her.
Hilla sat in front of the dressing mirror and looked at her red face. She still blushed as the lust was haunting her.
Bruce was so bad.
He took a shower in the bathroom, but still made out with her.
However, Hilla came back to her senses and frowned when she recalled Bruce’s offer to fix Halle up on a date.
Hilla was afraid that Halle wouldn’t accept it for the time being.
Just as Hilla was lost in thought, the bathroom door opened and Bruce came out only wearing a towel.
The mirror reflected Bruce’s sexy, muscular figure. He came over to Hilla, drying his dark hair with a towel.
Hilla quickly dropped her eyes, only to feel a damp rush from her back all over her.
Soon Hilla was held by a pair of strong arms. Bruce’s chin rested on her shoulder and Hilla couldn’t help but slow her breathing.
"Mrs. Anderson, what are you thinking?"
Knowing what Bruce wanted, Hilla turned around, held his neck, and pulled him towards herself.
Bruce bent over and leaned close to her face to face. Hilla smiled enchantingly. "Of course, Mrs. Anderson is thinking of Mr. Anderson!"
With that, Hilla raised her head and kissed Bruce on the corner of his lips.
Bruce was stunned, but soon a bewitching smile touched his black eyes. He stared down at Hilla’s smug face, seized her around the waist, and threw her onto the bed.
Fortunately, the bed was soft enough. Bruce didn’t put in any effort at all but just seemed to be teasing her.
Hilla felt dizzy, and when she raised her head, Bruce leaned over her.
"I..."
Before Hilla could say anything, Bruce’s kiss sealed her lips in the next second.
Bruce’s heavy breathing sounded in her ears. He was craving for more and dallying with her passionately.
"Let’s wait till we’re done."
Bruce’s hoarse voice echoed in Hilla’s ears. Then he kissed her without stopping,
from her cheeks, the bridge of her nose, then to her chin, neck, and ears...
Hilla immediately succumbed to Bruce’s fondling and her toes were curled for her sensitivity.
Hilla stroked Bruce’s strong back and held him tight, letting him canoodle herself.
Outside the window, the summer breeze was slowly moving the rosebuds in the yard.
The roses were swaying in the wind, and the delicate, tender petals were expanding for the first time this year, giving off a hint of seductive fragrance!
...
"Why are you up so early today?"
Seeing Margaret sneaking around in the living room, Hilla glanced at the clock not far away.
Margaret was usually not up at this hour.
Seeing Hilla come over, Margaret was surprised and pulled Hilla to her side. Stealing a glance at the kitchen, Margaret whispered, "Halle is inside!"
Margaret did not expect Halle, who just broke up yesterday, to be able to get up early to make them breakfast.
Margaret thought Halle was grieving and was worried that she would make a terrible breakfast.
Margaret knew Halle wouldn’t make breakfast unpalatable on purpose, but it must be inedible.
"Is Halle inside?"
Hilla looked at the kitchen worriedly, thinking that what happened yesterday was a blow to Halle. And she thought Halle would shut herself in the room for the next two days.
"Halle got up early to cook. I was so scared I couldn’t sleep all night!"
Margaret pointed at her dark circles pitifully.
"Why didn’t you sleep all night?"
"I was afraid that Halle would commit suicide."
Margaret made a gesture of slit her wrist and then slumped feebly on the sofa.
Those in love really worried Margaret.
Hilla couldn’t help but laugh. She was also worried about Halle, but not as attentive as Margaret.
"Don’t worry. Halle is not that vulnerable."
Not to mention Halle was not that affectionate towards Horton.
"Thankfully, that’s not the case. By the way, I found what you asked me to look into."
Margaret pulled Hilla to the stairs, afraid that Halle in the kitchen would hear her.
"That bastard Horton returned to the Hutt’s for the fortune yesterday and was waited on by a bunch of servants."
Margaret gnashed her teeth at the mention of Horton.
She thought jerks were in the news and novels, but she didn’t expect such a man around her.
"Hilla, do you want to rush to the Hutt’s and beat Horton up now?"
Margaret rolled up the sleeves and frowned at Hilla. "We must beat him up. But I’m afraid we can’t rush in. We have to find a way to let Horton out."
"Leave it to me!" Margaret nodded.
Halle came out of the kitchen and saw them whispering to each other.
"Aren’t you guys coming over for breakfast?"
Margaret and Hilla who were talking suddenly became flustered and looked over at Halle.
Halle said at the table as if she did not see the tension in their eyes. "I asked Orlenna to take care of Emily today." Halle took a slice of bread and took a bite.
Only when Hilla and Margaret sat down opposite her did Halle speak slowly, "Bruce set me up with a great blind date, and I’m going. Do you have a minute?"
Margaret spat out the milk out of her mouth.
She hurriedly picked up the napkin on the table and wiped it.
Margaret looked at Halle in disbelief. "Blind date? Halle ... are you joking?"
Hilla already knew that, but she didn’t think Bruce would act so quickly to get Halle to agree.
She was rather curious about how Bruce convinced Halle.
"Halle, you don’t have to rush a blind date."
"Hilla, don’t worry. I am not upset, nor am I giving up on myself. Those men Bruce fixes me up with are indeed well off. Since marriage can save me a lot of gossip and trouble, a blind date is fine as long as that guy is nice to Emily."
"And it’s nice to have someone to take care of me."
Halle answered calmly. Therefore, Hilla, who was hesitating just now, had no objection.
Margaret pulled Hilla’s arm and whispered, "Is Halle really upset?"
Hilla lowered her head and glanced at Margaret. A murderous look flashed in her eyes as Hilla replied in a low voice, "I’m not going to beat Horton up."
Hilla thought, "I might as well kill him with a knife!"
...
The elegant blues played in Mineesa Cafe.
When the wind chime at the door rang, the man sitting not far away looked up automatically.
When glimpsing the figure coming in, the man looked at the photo on the mobile phone, became disappointed, and then turned his gaze away.
Two beautiful young women took seats not far from him.
Margaret pulled up her sunglasses that covered most of her face and looked at the man not far away, her eyes shining.
"Is he Mr. Moran from the Epkar Group? He’s not bad looking."
It seemed that Bruce was quite reliable.
Hilla had her back to the man. She had only glanced at him when she came in, and now she was too embarrassed to look over at him.
However, Margaret couldn’t help but take off her sunglasses.
"If you keep looking at him like that, he’ll probably notice us."
Sure enough, the man felt Margaret’s gaze and cast his eyes over them.
However, the man quickly took his eyes back, calmly looking at the door and waiting for the woman he had a date with.
Margaret quickly withdrew her eyes and stirred the coffee as if nothing happened.
"You are right. He seems to have found us."
Hilla couldn’t help laughing at Margaret’s furtive manner.
The man might know what they were here for before Halle arrived.
"Hilla, is Halle here yet?"
Margaret looked at Hilla expectantly.
She observed the man for a while. Although he was not as handsome as Horton, he was not bad-looking.
Besides, when the man saw her, his eyes clearly lit up, but he did not strike up a conversation with her.
A fickle man would go to hook up another woman when his blind date didn’t show up.
Hilla sent Halle a message, "We’re here." The bell rang at the door of the cafe again.
The crisp sound of the wind bell was a little shrill, but not harsh.
As expected, the man sitting in front of the window looked up again. Hilla and Margaret also looked toward the door.
Halle walked in wearing an elegant light green dress with a dark windbreaker draped over her.
She had elegant and exquisite makeup on her face with an indefinable charm.
The man’s eyes lit up and he was stunned for a moment before he took a look at the photo on the phone.
Once he was sure it was Halle, he stood up right away and greeted her gently. "Ms. Holt?"
Halle nodded and said, "Mr. Moran? I’m Halle."
They soon chatted warmly. Simone was very talkative, attentive, and cheerful. He always had something to talk about to spark Halle’s interest.
Halle, somewhat reserved, soon became drawn to Simone’s anecdotes.
"I’ve actually tried the idea of putting flower colors into cloth, and it works. But the flowers with rich color are easy to decolorize, and the process is more complicated."
When it came to things that interested Him, Hale was naturally voluble.
Margaret aside covered her head with her handbag, and couldn’t help but chatter as she watched them deep in conversation.
"Big problem. I think Halle kind of has a crush on him. He is good at flirting. He said he loved children and had been a volunteer kindergarten teacher. Halle is going to give him a big thumbs up for that. Horton is out of the running."
Margaret felt that the jerk, Horton, should be punished, but after all, they grew up together. She would sympathize with him when she thought that he might end up alone.
Hilla couldn’t see what was going on over there, and their conversation made little sense to Hilla.
But looking at Margaret’s expression, Hilla could not help but frown.
Hilla didn’t think Halle would easily take a man.
"Is anything up with Halle? Why does she keep looking out? She looks like she has urgent business."
Margaret was keeping an eye on Halle and reporting to Hilla.
Seeing that Halle looked out of the window five times in less than an hour, Margaret couldn’t help but approach Hilla. "Is Emily not being taken good care of?"
"How could that be? Mother is at home and there are so many maids."
"Is Emily crying? I saw Halle looking at her phone several times."
"I don’t think so. If Emily is crying, Mother will send me a message."
Halle was so uneasy for one reason only.
Before Hilla could say anything, she saw Margaret get down quickly. "They are coming over."
Margaret’s sneaky look was conspicuous.
Hilla stopped hiding and turned to Halle.
Halle walked up to Hilla. Before Hilla could speak, Halle said, "I got something to do. I gotta go."
Hilla wondered, "Did the blind date go badly?"
Simone knew who Hilla was and said directly, "Don’t worry, Mrs. Anderson. I will send Halle home safely."
Simone would send Halle back, so the blind date went well, didn’t it? Hilla looked at Halle in confusion and found that Halle was calm. "Let’s go back together!"
Margaret said and then added guiltily, "We don’t have anything to buy anyway. We are tired from shopping. Why don’t we go together?"
"Didn’t you drive by yourselves?"
Halle smiled and exposed Margaret’s lies.
Seeing this, Hilla knew Halle was respecting Simone’s feelings since he would definitely feel uncomfortable with them. "We can drive back by ourselves."
"Hilla, they’re into each other, aren’t they?"
Looking at Halle and Simone walking out of the cafe, Margaret was still shocked.
Wasn’t Halle always conservative? Halle just broke up with Horton. Even if she had a crush on Simone, she would not be intimate enough with him to let him drive her home.
Hilla didn’t respond. She just glanced out of the window and took the handbag she had left on the table. "Let’s go. It will be dark soon."
"In fact, Halle should give it some thought. She just had a blind date. Maybe the next guy will be better."
Margaret mumbled to herself as she walked, but Hilla didn’t respond.
They drove back to the Anderson’s soon.
Simone’s car was parked in a parking space in the yard.
Margaret widened her eyes in disbelief. "He’s not going to eat in, is he?"
Simone was really something.
Hilla hurried into the house.
The maid went forward to open the door for her and took her coat and handbag.
As soon as Hilla looked up, she saw several people looking embarrassed on the sofa.
Hilla didn’t know what was going on.
But when she saw Claus and Horton, she instantly understood why Simone was here!
