Chapter 1393 67: Invitation from the Fede Alliance_3

"Finally, I will introduce myself." The Froglings, who had not mentioned his name before, spoke while squinting.

"I am Holmes, the Water Source Priest Master of the current Fede Alliance." It was unexpected that he would be one of the three highest-ranked individuals in the Fede Alliance.

After the introductions were completed, Holmes nodded to the crowd gathered in the city, then ordered the guards to clear a path, leading Tilan and the others into the grand building that had been prepared.

This place has a lofty dome; the walls and pillars are very straight, with few curved patterns. Light falls from the stone pillars, and a large pit burns with timber in the center of the hall, the fire illuminating the hall, spreading warmth to keep the stone hall warm.

Here, the four sat down, with Sura standing beside Tilan. A few administrative staff from the Fede Alliance remained in the hall, while the other guards withdrew outside.

Sitting on the stone chairs was chilly, but Tilan adapted. It was a bit of a cold moment; although they invited Tilan, it seemed only Holmes could speak to some extent, while the other two were not adept at socializing.

"Uh... I didn't expect Her Highness Hexia to be so young." Holmes was the one to break the silence.

"A woman's appearance does not necessarily reflect her true age." Tilan modestly countered, but to the opposite three, the statement conveyed a completely different meaning.

Could she be indicating that she is actually a deeply powerful and wise elder? In this sense, it seems plausible why she could easily defeat the Wolf Blood Queen. Clearly, she is not just a young, inexperienced maiden, but rather belongs to a race whose appearance ages slowly, a trait not uncommon among certain newborn races.

"We were presumptuous, Your Highness Hexia." After giving the strong leader the respect deserved, the three felt the awkwardness faced with a youthful maiden vanished and began viewing Tilan as a mature leader like themselves.

"Given this, let's keep it brief. Have you received the messages from the Southern Continent and the intelligence regarding the major invasion by the Mechanical Cluster?"

"I have received them and also observed the Mechanical Cluster gradually approaching the south." Tilan nodded.

"This saves a lot of explanation." Holmes seemed satisfied, with the other two speaking in succession.

"According to scholars within the Alliance, this Mechanical Cluster invasion is far stronger than any previous assaults; hence I hope to take the lead in uniting the various forces of North Continent." The tall, slender Angor stated the purpose of inviting Hexia.

"Besides you, within the upcoming days, other leaders of the forces should arrive in Fede City." He referred to some ancient eastern powers and small scattered organizations in the remote corners of the North Continent.

"I understand." Tilan nodded, without saying much.

Looking at the response from the Fede Alliance, they didn't seem 'urgent' or 'nervous.' Is this confidence in their strength, or do they not understand the terrifying quantity of the Mechanical Cluster invasion?

Tilan felt that, even if the Fede Alliance could field tens of thousands of firearms troops, they couldn't match the vast Mechanical Cluster Army that covered the mountains and plains. Their development of civilization and technology spanned merely a century, and the era they lived in couldn't provide sufficient combat strength to face the Mechanical Cluster far beyond their time.

This wasn't pessimism but a conclusion based on objective facts.

This planet's civilization had been interrupted too many times, their technological accumulation was broken too many times. Unless some miracle occurs, this is a doomed battle.
